Hmmm. Switching places with an far away enemy mage or archer seems like a good tactic. You bring them closer to the frontlines with your Tank. They might even switch to melee weapons. Do ranged mobs switch to melee weapons when you get close to them? Range is very limited, especially with a low intelligence build. (which any rogue build should be, imo)

Good to know! Does it work poorly or something? I can see it not being to useful to swap places with other engaged melee characters or squishy casters, but can't you swap places with enemies? You deal so much damage it's not worth it to swap positions. Even with your low con it'll be long dead before it does any significant damage.

I remember playing one of the NWN games, I can't remember which to be honest, where I spend waaaaay more time in a mod that allowed me to immediatly level up to max level and then test it against a variety of enemies, then actually playing the game Is there one for PoE? Or if not, is there one in the works?

What ending did you choose?

First game, PotD, normal companions. Appeased all the Gods (including hiding the scroll for Wael), but pledged to none. Allied with house Doemenel. Banished Thaos' soul. Fed souls to the Dyrwoodans. Extremely happy with my choice, as this ultimately ended good for Pallegina, in spite of her ignoring her orders. Only companion I really liked. Durance did not commit suicide. Aloth became leader of the Leaden Key (dunno if he always does this). Eder, for some reason, decided to worship a dead, fake God again (wtf) The final battle was lucky. Thaos had 1 circle (or whatever it is) of health left, everyone had died except Kana, Aloth (who was bugged... no status affect, but couldn't move or do anything, not even after the battle...) and a Drake Kana had just summoned. Got an extremely lucky diceroll and Kana hit with his gun. Thaos dead. Now I'm gonna do one more run with a custom party and then I'm probably gonna leave this game alone. -
Wait a darn minute, youre trying to trick me aren't you? If theres one thing this thread has revealed through peering deeply into our navels is that its totally ok to discriminate if you are part of an oppressed group. And that you can shut the hell up if not from said group. Are you trying to tell me that's a moronic position? You're purposely trying to act like a retard, aren't you? I never said it was ok. Never. But bringing up black on white racism as some sort of retort towards institutionalized racism, as happens time and time again in every discussion, is a laughable tactic to diminish systemic racism. It's just a tactic to avoid having to discuss the systemic racism. Nothing more, nothing less. And it's pathetic.

I never said we weren't animals. But if we weren't able to rise above our nature, we'd never be able to live in cities, we'd still kill every stranger we met. Every fertile female would still give birth to her first child at age 17. And numerous other ancestral behaviours none of us partake in anymore, except hunter-gather societies I am white. Doubly excellent then. All of us then can be grateful for your pearls of wisdom, black and white and play our appropriate parts in your morality play, to better demonstrate what an enlightened Gutmensch you are. Thank you for this opportunity. Yes, give me tithe.

I am white. But in these discussions my skin brothers always try to beat around the bush by saying some black guy has been mean to them too, as if by some magical means that would validate the systemic racism suffered by people of other colours, or make it less worse or something equally bizarre. It's absolutely hilarious. Bringing it up serves no purpose. Except of course trying to get rid of that nasty feeling that they themselves are part of a racist culture, which they vehemently deny because they aren't convinced racists. Which again, I stress, is not necessary at all to do racist things, or perpepuate racist culture. I dunno if you're trying to be funny, but that is exactly what Christianity has done for centuries. Point? Or is this some silly attempt to whitewash (heh) racism into something unavoidable. We are human beings, we can rise above our nature.

2 questions: Does time flow during conversation? I'm at the final battle now, and I'm wondering if I eat consumables before that fight if they'll still be active once it starts. Thaos talks for a long ass time. And, this is more technical, but... why the hell does the game not autopause before that battle?

Wait until morning?

Uh, yeah, the good ole "advance time" feature from... the BG series. Of all the features BG didn't have but we are going to pretend it did, this one is among my favorites! These old games get better every time I read about them -
Permanent stat increases?
