  1. I'm going to give the game a 7/10. I'd have given it 9/10 if there weren't some, in my opinion, unforgivable mistakes. Like the pathfinding that comes straight from the 90s. But, to put things in perspective, and quite possibly rile some of you, ME3 is a solid 9/10 in my book.
  2. She is REALLY strong btw. I use her spritishift form every single battle and she downright destroys everything. Though I for the life of me cannot remember which form I actually took *gasp*. Can't check either cause I'm on my laptop. Will do later.
  3. Currently doing an all Godlike run on PotD. Screens are taken directly after I made the last one. Didn't leave Gilded Vale yet then, squeezed out all the cash I could from the place and the first wilderness area on the way to Gilded Vale Will not recruit any of the normal companions, except Pallegina. Because, you know, Avian Godlike. edit: this is not to increase difficulty btw, obviously. Full min-max party. I already beat the game using the normal companions on PotD. Will not solo the game. Will not do Trial of Iron. This will most likely be my final run.
  4. Exactly, both are world class players that constantly take the heat for one minor negative aspect of their game. That they are superior in almost every other aspect of their game on their respective positions doesn't seem to matter anymore. Some people just love to hate I suppose. Just like people keep looking at Ronaldo as that 17 year old teenager crying at the European Championship, and still call him a crybaby. 11 years later, while Lionel Messi was the one doing the crying after losing a CL match about a year or 2 ago. Never hear anyone about that.
  5. It seems Blake Griffin (future MVP, I'm telling ya'll) destroyed the Spurs... Ugh. Horrible. My favourite team and favourite player (Tim Duncan, Mr. Fundamentals) losing to my second favourite player. It's like watching Ajax vs Real Madrid and not knowing when to cheer or cry
  6. Fighter: damage soaker, pure tank. Stats have been chosen for maximum saves (+10 will, +10 fortitude, +17 deflection, +16 reflex, or something like that) Paladin: offtank, healer, buff (when zeal is chosen) Wizard: damage Druid: damage Priest: (de)buff, healer Cipher (Watcher): damage, crowd control For most the name should've been a dead given on their role though (translation of the names is provided, names are in Thai) Also decided the Wizard's gonna be the mechanics guy... already regretting that slightly because of his low perception (as people have told me perception increases your range of detection, not sure it works like that though), but that's fine I suppose since I know where most stuff is. Not far enough in the game to have decided on equipment, but both the paladin and the fighter will be sword and shield.
  7. This is my fighter's build. It only has one job: be a fortress. Moon Godlike Fire Godlike Might: 14 Con: 11 Dex: 10 Per: 18 Int: 6 Res: 19 (Aedyr background) M+C for combined fortitude save of +10 I+R for combined will save of +10 P+R for combined deflection of +17 D+P for combined reflex save of +16 And of course, Moon Godlike Fire Godlike for being.. godlike. (Aumaua body type) Think I'm going to go for an all Godlike custom party. Main character (Cipher) is Death Godlike. EDIT: decided for Fire Godlike instead. Moon Godlike will go to the still to build Paladin, synergizes better in my opinion.
  8. The only other Dutchmen I can recall offhand for sure are Rik Smits and Dan Gadzuric. I want to also name Christian Welp, but he might be German...not sure. Yes, he's German. Francisco Elson Dan Gadzuric Geert Hammink (only 3 seasons, mid 90s) Sven Nater (really old, from the 70s-80s) Rik Smits Is the full list.
  9. Resolve and Perception, min 18. Some checks are even 19 or 20 (at least one in Twin Elms) Int checks are far less.
  10. Well I'm familiar with that kinda nonsense. We do the same in the Netherlands
  11. My point is that you can't prove this stuff with screenshots, you need a video.
  12. Yeah that's correct, he doesn't really talk to you, you get a vision about him.
  13. Can you see the lawyers piling up in front of your door yet?
  14. Much to my own amazement, I saw the first in depth analysis of the NBA playoffs on a local sports website. It makes sense we don't spend much time on this stuff, we have zero NBA players. The last one we had was Fransisco Elson... who did win a ring. In all NBA history, there have been a grand total of 5 NBA players from the Netherlands. All centers, which makes sense I suppose, since we're tallest people on earth.
  15. Durance has more than one, three if I recall correctly.
  16. How does it affect the ending if you don't ever use the normal companions? I suppose that if you recruit none it doesn't affect it much (they don't exist, pretty much), but what if you recruit them anyway but just don't do anything with them? Will it be suuuuper bad?
  17. I might be missing something here, but why don't you just play PotD if you think hard is too easy? This seems like a no brainer.
  18. I do not intend to get hit, hence the 3 con and 3 resolve. I will most likely start off the battles with a blunderbuss shot though, or whatever gun I can get my hands on. Just like I did with my rogue, so the fighter and paladin can get into position.
  19. I think the message is way more muddled than that (and not in a good way). I also don't think that's the sort of thing Obsidian would do, regardless of their personal beliefs. Their stories tend to be more nuanced than just "atheism = good, religion = bad." Much like how it's not that simple in real life. Really now? Gods do not exist. Man creates Gods. *badumtss*
  20. Finished game with a rogue, currently going with a Cipher
  21. Because breaking engagement equals death. That is not true, or at least a big exaggeration. Most of the time the fighter classes can easily suffer disengagement attacks without problems. Even if the attack hits, their endurance and health is large enough. In case of the more fragile classes, a disengagement attack is a serious thread indeed, but can be countered with the right tactics in many cases. See my post on the last page for some possibilities. That's my experience on Hard, anyway. Best way to deal with it for them is, of course, to avoid getting engaged in the first place, but if it can't be avoided there are several ways to deal with it. The engagement system in its current implementation is not perfect, though. Some of the abilities offered to deal with it could use some adjustments - e.g. I found the rogue's escape talent to be rather wonky. It's too slow to activate, has low range and sometimes doesn't seem to work at all. Definitely something the devs should look at. Also there are talents that offer increased defence against disengagement. Considering that those are relatively rare I would increase their effectiveness, too. Finally, some people have reported that disengagement attacks triggered too easily - I think the engaged char should have some "wiggle room", e.g. by making the attack trigger only when he moves outside of a certain, sensible radius around the attacker. For your fighter its an exaggeration. But for most enemies breaking engagement is really really bad. Maybe not instant death, but damn close, even on PotD.
  22. But it IS possible to override quality... I upgraded my stilettos from normal, to fine, to excellent to superb.
