http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism_and_violence http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_terrorism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_religious_terrorism Discuss. Well that's what He gets for being a terrible manager and a paranoid psychopath. And a ****ty creator. I mean geez, where to start about This Guy? Instead of telling everybody at the same time what the deal is, He instead tells only a few people what the deal is, and He's not even consistent in that. Every time the story changes, so now we have Christianity, Islam and Judaism. And even within these religions they can't really decide what the deal is. That's terrible management and a woefully bad understanding of His own creation. But I suppose this is all part of that awful reality show called 'Getting into heaven'. He'd probably be bored out of His mind if everybody followed the plan. Or He just sucks. Giving everyone free will and then getting pissed off people don't follow the plan, so send em to Hell. (where, mind you, His fiercest opponent punishes you for not doing what God wants.... what a load of crock. The devil would be high fiving you). Again, a woefully bad understanding of His own creation. And the foreskins, the freaking foreskins. If He wants us to cut those things off, how about.. you know, creating us without one? Laughable creator, terrible manager with psychopathic tendencies. Ignoring Him is your best option.

Another incident with black men getting shot by police
Psychevore replied to Drowsy Emperor's topic in Way Off-Topic
Oh really? http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2012/12/30/dutch-shooting-rampages-becoming-common-despite-gun-control/ http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/netherlands Doesn't compare. As soon as you use your gun anywhere but a gun range you're breaking the law. You're only allowed to keep your gun in a safe. There's rigorous mental screening before you get a permit to have a gun in a safe in your house (and I'm not sure, but I seem to recall that even the room in which the safe is housed needs to be locked). And that first article: LOOOOL. Two shootings --> becoming more common. Seriously? It also confirms what I already stated: most shootings are criminal on crimal. There's only two instances I recall that weren't so: someone who had a gun permit but then lost his mind and went on a killing spree in a shopping centre. And a jeweller that had been robbed before, illegally purchased a gun and then shot two new assailants in the back after they ran. There are exceptions of course, forest rangers (or however it's called in English... those guys that take care of the woods) are allowed to carry guns, because it's part of their job to kill sick or wounded animals. But that's about it. -
PoE and NBA2K15, which I'll keep playing till NBA2K16. Saillant detail: NBA2K is the only that I can recall that gives you the option to choose which monitor you want to play on in the game. No hassling with the primary screen in windows if I just played PoE on my regular monitor and wanna play NBA2K on my tv. Why don't more games gives this option? Seriously, it does not get any more console-ish than NBA2K, but this is PC optimisation every PC game should have, but none do. (as far as I'm aware, I obviously haven't played every game in existence)

Agreed. By the time this 'cheese' sets in, you've already lost. It's not like they're giving out 'I win' buttons for a dollar. And... this is quite possibly the easiest money then can make. If people want to pay for having to press less buttons after they whooped your ass, that's just easy money. Brilliant move.

Yeah just upload it to some website. I have a premium account on imageshack, unlimited upload space for a year for a measly 13 dollars or something.

As much as I love LeBron, it would be insane not to give the MVP to Curry. Or Russel Westbrook... what a monster of a man. Future MVP: Blake Griffin. Not just a highlight reel anymore. Can shoot 3's, can pass, has become masterfull at the pick and roll and I'll bet he can play Point Forward in the future. And he can still dunk like a monster.

Another incident with black men getting shot by police
Psychevore replied to Drowsy Emperor's topic in Way Off-Topic
The right to bear arms works bad in a lot of ways: The populace is armed, so criminals need to be armed. Coming from a country where barely anyone has a gun (the Netherlands), the criminals are rarely armed. And if any shootings occur, in 90% of the cases it's criminal on criminal violence. Because the populace is armed and the crimals are armed too, the cops are always under threat. Add to that obvious lingering racism in the USA, and you get this. Is there a fix for this? No, I don't think so. -
Yeah I just saw this on BSN. Fantastic. Kung Führer *snickers*

When building previous characters I was able to get the background bonus and then go back to the stat screen and drop it off again to get the minimum, but I could not do this with Aedyr background. Instead, when you go back, it automatically drops to 3 and goes back up to 4 when you get to the background screen. In other words, the Aedyr bonus does not seem 'permanent', for lack of a better description. Or am I missing something here and is this working as intended? I'd really like the 16 int can do without the resolve Oh and yes, I could of course change to a background with +1 int instead, but... this character isn't mine. I did the min-maxing, but everything else was picked by my girlfriend.

So, the plot.
Psychevore replied to Stargazer86's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I think the plot is a glorious ode to atheism and a kick in the nuts to religion. -
I don't really see the problem with the huge amounts of xp. My whole party was max level, but the 3 companions I left behind at the stronghold were like level 7, even when I sent them out to every adventure I could I suppose the extra experience is to level everybody to max, in case you'd want this.

Struggling to finish
Psychevore replied to AncientToaster's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Because breaking engagement equals death. -
I couldn't finish Divinity: Original Sin either. But that's because I didn't really like the game (blasphemy, apparantly). In PoE the voice acting is annoying. Sometimes the way they say it doesn't even really match the flavor text >.> And once I get into full reading mode, the voice acting is just too slow.

Near the end you get some encounters where you're attacked from every angle. But.. that's about it. It's mostly just getting your tank in place and using your offtank to catch any straggles... for as much as there are any, as these enemies just love to gang up on the single, nigh indestructable tank. -
The thing is that it's not doing the quests that locks you out, it's accepting the quests... which seems really artificial. Get over yourself. 'you people' 'real games'. Pff. This is what's wrong with the RPG scene, all you guys figuring yourselfs to be some God-tier gamer for loving certain games. Especially games with ancient mechanics like dicerolls. Bleh. Don't get me wrong, I love this game. But this is no more a 'real game' than Pacman.
