  2. I sincerely hope not, steam workshop is a steaming pile of excrement, and segregating the modding scene is really bad.

  3. First big thing I've done to get out of the house for non-work or non-funeral related matters in the past couple of months. Took the step from just stewarding to being full crew at MCM ComicCon at London over the weekend. 4 Fairly packed days doing all the behind the scenes stuff at Cosplay Central there. So dealing with the Cosplay Hospital, and then everyday the mass public, the Kids Cosplay Showcase, the Adults Cosplay Showcase, the Cosplay Variety Show, and the Cosplay Masquerades. Slept terribly so was in a fairly constant state of exhaustion. Caught up with a bunch of people I only see a few times a year. Got more hugs in few days then I have in the past 6 months. Then stuck around London an extra day since Lucasfilm and Disney sent all the SW costuming groups a batch of invites to attend the Premiere of The Acolyte at Liecester Square. It was interesting, but not quite sure the entertainment value was worth sticking in London an extra day and spending 2+ hours stood on the Red Carpet. But to be fair, that might have been affected by the previous 4 days of Con on my feet. Now doing the wfh for a few days as the post-con crash hits and I deal with some of the con-crud kicking in.

  4. Since yesterday I finally felt I could eat some stuff besides chicken broth/boiled spinach (after day 3, I sometimes poached an egg in it) and plain greek yogurt. Little tougher when it's both sides of mouth vs. just one. At any rate, healing well at this point. Not being able to eat a lot of carbs sort of stomps out a lot of the "soft foods" concepts/drinks. I did not try jarred gerber-like baby foods. I remember using the meat baby foods to syringe-feed cats who were sick because they were smoother/easier to water down/syringe than regular canned cat food. Based on those experiences with such, I'd rather go hungry.

  5. Trump has been convicted on all 34 felony charges of his hush money / election interference trial. (e): Damn it, sniped by literally like one second. Oh, it looks like the Associated Press website died anyways. Don't know if because of the news or if just coincidence...

  7. Workshop compatibility is something specifically added by the devs. I guess it promotes a laziness to just work within whatever that framework is. Similar to how indy devs say it is too much effort to release on more storefronts. In the end you get a de facto monopoly. Added to that, with a company that may not have itself given reason to distrust them, but also has given no reason to trust them, being based in a country that can be very anti-consumer.

  8. I hear you all, but for me the inconvenience is pretty significant. When I recently started playing enhanced BG1 I wanted to include a whole slew of mods for the first time. All the many mods people have been talking up for years. But once I started doing it, I quit after adding in around three mods because it was too much of a pain. I especially hated that you needed to add the mods in a specific sequence, and if you got even one small thing wrong, you had to delete all the mods, make sure you once again had a clean copy of the game, and then restart the process of adding the mods. Sorry, but that's just ridiculous!

  9. Kanie I know you not a big mod user but its best to get into the habit of manually installing mods, unless its a few mods. I have found that once you understand how mods change a game then its always more or less the same process for each game . I found mod managers are good and save time but if something goes fundamentally wrong its hard to troubleshoot it and this applies to using more than 30 mods or so This excludes Bethesda games where mod managers like Mod Organizer2 have excellent troubleshooting tools And obviously this approach wouldnt apply to large mod collections like Nolvus for Skyrim which includes over 2000 mods because the creators of mod collections normally test them and its recommended to use a mod manager for them like Vortex https://www.nolvus.net/ But games like BG3, always try to install them manually. I know its more work but its better around overall stability. I literally watch videos around " how to install mods for game x" to learn how the process works and it takes about 2-3 hours to understand the steps in manually installing them for each game I know Steam Workshop is convenient but it can unintentionally create problems

  10. So true you get railroaded so often and so badly. Act 3 is atrocious in that regard. "Die with honour" Oh come on And I think they killed off the guy at the start of act 2 too quickly and unceremoniously. I don't even get a goodbye? After the reveal at the end it's just sad. In the republic path in act 3 in Rome certain someone's demise was so... Unneeded. It didn't even matter in the end. Also I think it's understandable that you're given an option to sleep with Cleopatra but banging Cato is... So funny.

  15. Based on recommendations, I made myself a list of shows to check out, as in at least watch a few episodes of each (depending on availability). Not necessarily in this order, just cut and past from posts above Kill la Kill Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Bakemonogatari Code Geass Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Edit to add (so I have them in one place) full metal alchemist aquarion evol Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun tower of druaga

  16. Art Fair was a disaster. Embarrassingly few visitors. For me it went well on the networking side. A number of people from the art scene now know my face. And at least one person, influential in the local art scene made a point of telling everyone that my art is what they should be checking out. Also, I think a lady may have been flirting with me. But I am slow on the uptake so I am not certain. She said we'll go for coffee though once I am back in Athens so I guess we'll find out.

  20. Article 70 (d) (e) oh, ok, if you insist. Of course Mr Graham would hypothetically be fine so long as he stayed in the US and away from anywhere with ICC jurisdiction. (You can think of the rationale for him actually being charged despite the US not being a Party this way: if he fired a Tomahawk at Karim Khan and hit him in Britain he could be charged at the ICC, since Britain is a signatory: same way Netanyahu can be charged despite Israel not being a State Party. If he merely threatened to do the same thing, well, Karim Khan is still in Britain and thus the ICC is still able to charge him for the threat since it's 'received' in Britain)
