I explored a sPoOkY palace and ended up fighting the owner, Cazador, who turned out to be much less intimidating and more of a prick. Astarion wanted to take over but I talked him out of it, and he seemed to appreciate that. Our allies are much more frightening than villains.2 points

Poor Fingers, always getting so much hate for providing affordable services to the working girls and boys of Night City.2 points

In my case he was killed by Seriously, some people in this game are scarier than the villains, including the new ones and their bosses that were just revealed.2 points

Public Service Announcement: Feel free to beat the $#!+ out of Fingers, there's now no downside. I'll try to be as spoiler-free as possible. Fingers is an absolutely deplorable character you meet. You have the option to rough him up or not. Roughing him up formerly locked you out of some of the best cybernetics, though, as he's a ripperdoc and he, understandably, won't do business with you if you beat his ass. However, with the 2.0 update the cybernetics once only available through him are now available elsewhere, so go ahead and bust him up real good, if you so wish.2 points

I went with cool and reflex, since I'm a revolver guy, and for everything else I'm using Katana. Though, I have to say that knife throwing is really good as well. Stealthy, fast, usable distance is pretty far as well. Combine it with dash and/or optical camo and you can easily stealth whole areas now. Bit sad that I can't really do mechanical and hacking stuff anymore, but oh well. It's not really required anyways.1 point

Unavowed. Finished the game. It was a decent point-and-click adventure with some flexibility regarding the puzzles - there are several companions to take on missions and they provide different options for the solutions. Also, there are some options for the character creation and the quest outcomes. Got stuck once somewhere close to the end (tried to break a bottle against a table, which was not the intended path). Tried to continue with Batbarian. Died repeatedly. I definitely don't want to replay it from the start, but I am unsure how to continue. Should check all open paths, I guess, considering that it is a Metroidvania.1 point

Trying to wear armors with preservation and break out (Blaidh Golan and Pike's Pride) and use items and scrolls to charme, dominate and/or paralyze them. For Alpine Dragon you can stay in the right side of cave, surronded by trash mob so the breath can't reach you while the ogres do their job.1 point

Got some more hours with the expansion. In short: - Still like the car. It just looks good. Only shame it kinda drives like ass. Not sure why they can't balance cars to not be so touchy. Hard to not crash into everything all the time. - Story presentation so far is pretty nice. Some cool moments, not too easy, not too hard. Felt a lot like Escape from New York in the beginning. Now it has opened up for me and guess I can go and do whatever I want. - visually still look amazing. There's few glitches here and there, but whatever. Still the best looking game I've played to date. - the new area has lots of verticality. This is one thing I don't like about the base game.. everything is flat and on ground level unless a gig makes you move into a predefined map.. and even then there's rarely any verticality.1 point

You can't tell without the specs of the drive itself, but a USB drive isn't going to be NVMe/ PCIe gen3/4 fast even on paper and will have worse latency too. About 1 Gpbs in/out seems to be standard for portables so not really close to saturating the theoretical throughput on a USB 3- but I'd suspect fairly close to practical saturation. Games wise, so far as I'm aware none of them specify the type of SSD required when they're required as a min spec, so far, and I'd say it's likely that an external SSD nowadays will be faster than or at least equivalent to the old internal SATA SSDs. Mileage May Vary, practically. Probably won't be sufficient for DirectStorage stuff in the future though (iirc that requires PCIe/ NVMe by spec).1 point

I reloaded and replayed the beginning of the last (?) map of Act 2. Mainly I wanted to bring Wyll for his quest, which was hilarious since finding out who was the asset needing rescue was even better than if it was Raphael. I can't believe they didn't include options to mock the situation. The items I had in my camp chest were not a big deal and the only item of worth in the isolated area was something I'm not using. The last battle looked difficult because of the position of the enemies, but there was a recover station nearby and I decided to drink speed potions to be on the safe side, so it ended up ridiculously easy. Not to mention After the battle, Karlach became so furious because she saw one of the bad guys that the game crashed. But she looked tame compared to how one npc reacted earlier.1 point

I explored the sewers, found the society of brilliance, killed an old man beneath the cemetery, and got attacked by vampire spawn when I was trying to sleep. Irresistible Dance is broken as hell, it made what would be a final boss in another game trivial.1 point

it depends on quality of your MB and on the ports it provides. The issue with USB-C is that it can get down to 480Mbps, if the manufacturers chooses cheap stuff... EDIT: Oh and of course about the quality of used cables as well...1 point

I am in the same boat, when it goes about computers. But Ram was almost exclusively the only thing, that I have ever upgraded over the years, whenever I had PC. I am 45 and my current PC is only my fifth one since Cyrix was still a thing Although my tactic was always to go for runners up in benchmarks, as the cost/performance/longevity ratio is in such case always the best. Since I am not paying premium for the hottest fluff on the market.1 point

Well my rig can still run it, so that's something. Reloaded an old save to play Phantom Liberty, but maybe should start wholly fresh.1 point

While the upper row might be based on nostalgia, the lower seems quite accurate.1 point

Truth told, I'm still tired and burned out on the clans. But good to know MW5 was successful enough that they still keep working on it.1 point

The camp at this location is the smallest one so far. And now there is even an option to say it's too crowded (spoilers removed from the picture): Interesting that Volo, Withers and these new additions don't stay near each other.0 points

The new ending you get from the DLC is probably the worst one in the context of the story.0 points
