That's because they *chose* to not do anything to help in Hawaii. But that choice has nothing to do with their choices on Ukraine. These choices are independent of each other is what I'm saying, whereas you are linking the choices together. There is no evidence to support that they chose to not do anything in Hawaii only *because* they chose to help Ukraine, which is what you are claiming and the part that I am disagreeing with. So, two separate, independent, and unconnected policy choices being made by the president: 1) Help Ukraine (I strongly agree with this policy decision choice) 2) Don't do squat for the people of Maui (I strongly disagree with this policy decision choice) Two separate issues and decisions. No either/or.3 points

A deaf girl has started to drive for my workplace, and I've been hanging around her when she shows up to make sure she's ok, since I know a teeny lil bit of Swedish sign language unlike my colleagues. I feel bad for her when something is broken and her hands are full of grease and her only way of communicating is her tapping out messages on her cellphone. Naturally, merciless teasing has begun. And I've to both of our amusement noticed how much of an automatic action it is for me to turn down the radio when I stop to talk to a driver It does sometimes fall into David Armand territory for me though2 points

Narrative and gameplay just don't go together in BG3. Narrative designers seem to do their own thing, and system designers another. Wait till you see Halsin and Minsc's stats. I haven't thought much of the issue you brought up but I did wonder why I found the scene somewhat farcical.2 points

Reached a satisfactory point in TESIII: Morrowind. I've got a house in Pelagiad and moved all my items from the magical corpse in Balmora to the various containers in the house (the corpse had unlimited storage capacity, the containers did not). I also tracked down and eliminated the Mournhold branch of the Dark Brotherhood and (after several attempts and looking up the most broken combinations of alchemical concoctions) their employer. Additionally, in Mournhold, it was somehow odd to have Levitation limited just after I had gotten used to have it. Overall in the expansion, in terms of design and gameplay, the "dungeons" being literal dungeons and the local sewers system became more noticeable, while the foes were hitting significantly harder than in the main game. I also had a rather unexpected side quest with an unfriendly and deadly normal-looking NPC. The encounter ended with me reloading. Though, I liked the concept of a large multi-area city that is not Vivec.2 points

New update! Should fix the bug reported by @abot 2023-09-24 Added support for AIDecision trees! Fixed Quest StringTable entries being written with incorrect IDs. The save button is now properly disabled after unloading unsaved changes. Here's a video I posted a bit further up on this page showcasing AIDecisionTree modding2 points

I thought that with the strikes I would be able to catch up on my backlog and also probably check out some stuff on my maybe list but that hasn't happened at all. I found that I'd rather watch a re-run or nothing at all over something I was iffy about before. I also discovered that if I don't find something to watch in under 5 minutes I'm probably just going to turn off the TV and do something else. My wife likes having the TV on in the background but I do not, I either watch it with a purpose or want it off. I also canceled some of the streaming services that I don't use that often.1 point

NMS - ---the ground vehicle you get for free w/the Base Computer readouts/missions came with 40 storage slots, and you can call it to your location like the ships. ---I was wrong, I got to keep the starter spaceship. It just gets stowed and you can call it back/switch if you want. ---I found the "easy" way to search for lush "Paradise" planets, which sound nice for building a true "main base" vs. the cruddy starter planet I was on, or temp bases just for teleportation/markers. I found one first try, but it's very red-themed, even the grass. I don't like red. I'll keep looking. ---the animals wandering, fighting, killing each other right next to base structures drives me nuts. I built a wall-fence around everything, maybe that'll work. ---the cooking/food stuff, holy cow it's way too much. Seems to be mostly to make money? But way too many resources/farming/animal farming/recipes, not worth it for bulk vs. just mining 9999 stacks to sell. Just for sim-ing? Settlements? I know nothing about Settlements/hirelines and not sure I'll bother.1 point

Well, it's classic video game stuff, isn't it? Cutscenes uses "real world" -logic, where people actually just die if you throw a spear through their torso. When gameplay starts, it's gameplay logic, where they can take dozens of hits.1 point

I got in a fight in the park, killed an evil wizard and raided his vaults, Gale met his ex again, and we hit level 12. Dame Aylin seemed pretty bummed though.1 point

Mad God (2021). Well, cinema was a mistake. I don't think you'll ever see a more vile visual masterpiece of a stop motion film. Strongly recommended to @PK htiw klaw eriF if he hasn't already seen it. It was hard to look away except for when I had to cover my eyes.1 point

Some guy landed his ship near my small base. He had 5 more ship storage slots, so I bought it. It was much boxier and uglier tho, so I had to rename it Ugly Boat. For a second I thought I was going to get to keep two ships, but the starter one disappeared when I ported out/back to the planet. Between that and a few more backpack slots, I feel ok on earlyish storage for now. I'm at the stage in NMS where I'm not entirely sure if I love the game or just sorta like it. On the one hand, for me, great chill sandbox. On the other hand, not quite enough motivation to do the sandbox if one isn't into the base building or ship combat etc. which is the main reason to find/horde resources or work on upgrades. I've tried to do more questing, not feeling it - akin to not feeling it in Bethseda games, really. It's currently a cool game tho - depends what you want/like to do is all. And checking new planets for scenery gazing/exploration could soak up a lot of time just on its own. Edit: oh I guess there will be ground vehicles. The Base Computer gave me a mission that gives one I think, but I need some resource I don't have yet.1 point

If they said that they are friends, they are safe from each other. The logic in the cut-scenes in general seems a bit odd sometimes.1 point

Fortunately, it's usually super quick and easy for companies to build up the trust and goodwill that they carelessly poured gasoline on before tossing into a bonfire for no reason.1 point

Took a lunch break from doing leather dying. Discovered my glove had a pinprick hole in it, and my thumb is now dyed oxblood red. However, besides that, I now have an articulated torso plate set mostly done. And the back half... Keeping it all fairly simple as I learn and refine some of the basic techniques. Tomorrow will likely be figuring out making and attaching buckles and straps to connect and wear it...1 point

But this is exactly why even though I've been happy that Biden has supported Ukraine I still criticize him. What's the point of having waited so long to do this if you were going to do it anyway? If Biden had done this months ago, even a year ago, it would have made a huge difference to Ukraine's war effort. And he kept doing this exact same thing with weapon system after system ... again and again. Why???!!! Just so maddening.1 point

I get the following message when lightning in to Multiplayer: ”You must log in to an Xbox Network account and have an active internet connection to play Grounded online.” I’ve done standard reboot (hard and soft) cycles on the Xbox Series X. Logged out of Xbox Live and back in. Network test at 400mbs down. Reset modem and router. I’m hardwired. Xbox account in good standing. Reached out to Obsidian, no response as of yet. Edit: I had my daughter send me an invite to our shared world and was able to launch. I logged out and was then able to log in to my own saved multiplayer world. Hope this helps someone else.1 point

Hubby got a letter from Bank of America saying his CC something or other was denied. We don't have any Bank of America stuff. >.> Someone took out accounts with BoA in his name etc. Then got red-flagged trying to do stuff with them. We've been very careful/lucky in that all our lives but finally got hit with something. What a PITA.0 points

TESIII: Morrowind Leaders need no helmets. I very much agree with the idea when I play a sniper. I think I broke the dialogue. Got blindness for the second time (the first time from some magic boots). Spoilers for the Tribunal expansion.0 points

I got this out of sheer curiosity: First, I'm not even going to attempt to pronounce that name. It's an unpeated Islay, which piqued my interest. I mean, that kind of defeats the purpose of getting an Islay, since the peat is what gives them their distinctive smoky taste that sets them apart from all other Scotch whiskies, all other whiskies in general. I would say that the taste is most similar to a Speyside, which is curious since Speyside is about as far away from Islay as you can get in Scotland. It's a very sweet and pleasant flavor, feels really nice on the tongue. As an added bonus, it's 50% ABV but it doesn't burn as much as I would have expected from a liquor with that high ABV. It's rather easy drinking with a great finish. I'm glad I tried it, I'll definitely get it again, ugly ass pastel blue bottle notwithstanding.0 points
