What Are You Playing Now: The meaning of life

Still mucking about in 7 Days.  You can build a gyrocopter now ... which looks cool but is about as fly-controllable as the cars in Cyberpunk. Well, worse, actually, but...that 4x4 jeep/truck is the best thing in the game now, outside of walking, which as always I still generally prefer to do.

I guess at this point, overall I'd say A19 is close to my fave version of the game.  It used to be the one I started with years ago (A10) but now it's A19.  At least for my admittedly not-normal, idiosyncratic use of the game.  A10 to maybe A12 is still the times where I liked the zombie/combat action tho.

Digging zombies turning my carefully cultivated yards and buildings into random swiss cheese is too aggravating and sleeper zombies are stupid. If you have the 7 Day horde on, ya gotta have two bases - your main "pretty" one, and the zombie-fightin' one.

I'm early in my "hard" difficulty of Wasteland 3.  Still easy, but there have been a couple of tough fights.  I'm still more RPG centered rather than specced for combat.  Great game, flaws and all.

Waiting for @bringingyouthefuture and @Vaeliorin to try out Alisa in Troubleshooter and tell me how they made a viable berserker build with her :)

Worked on it last night for awhile, will post this evening, what did you end up with Barbarian or White Knight?  I went Barbarian to start, but was looking at the White Knight Mastery Sets and they look pretty good.

Edit:  So far I will mention that my Barbarian builds usually when set to challenge mode go in, wipe a bunch of enemies out, then get downed ... trying to figure out how to make the build with better damage absorption, I mean the dancing clowns really did a number on it ... my Hero Irene the Martial Artist build still might be the best tank and heaviest damage dealer.

Raging Loop

The best under the radar visual novel I've yet seen. At least under my radar. Maybe it's too recent compared to all the classics I'm still catching up to, but it's pretty great. It's about a guy who gets trapped in a time loop in a village that's playing a real life version of the Werewolf party game.

Metro Last Light.

They are a bit harsh on the Red's but all-in-all a great game.  Metro series deserves far more credit than it gets.

I haven't played Exodus yet, but I enjoyed both 2033 and Last Light well enough. Metro's biggest failing is that it's not as good as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but, well, nothing is.

4A are actually former GSC (S.T.A.L.K.E.R./Cossacks) employees but left due to personal differences.  4A are great for graphics, art, and story titles whilst GSC are great for atmosphere, immersion, and mechanics so it was a positive split, we get two separate studios that are two sides of the same coin.

Also, try Exodus, it's really good!  Perhaps not as good w/o Ray Tracing but the game itself is solid and purty.

Metro is an excellent series of post-apocalyptic  games ....I have played and enjoyed all of them. The first one was the hardest....I have never had to ration ammunition as much as that game,it made you really learn to conserve your resources

Back to the important things in gaming - and dear moderators, if I am posting in the wrong thread and this needs to be in Video Game News, I apologise, feel free to move it - my first draki egg is ready to hatch!

I will now have a dragon hatchling to help hunt villains!

Problem is, I need to decide what kind it will grow into:

Rock

Flame

Frost

Lightning

Venom

Storm

Dark

Are moderators on this forum called moderators or do they have a special name - The Gorth Squad, or something like that?

Lightning is obviously the bestest element.

I am mostly thinking Dark, as I don't have much access to those effects from my team. Lightening, Fire, Air (Storm) and Ice, and a bit of Earth, I get from my humans.

Advantage of a Lightening Draki: it is purple - also it unlocks Lightening Sac Mastery which I do not have (though do not intend to use).

Advantage of Rock Draki: it unlocks Natural Recovery which Anne could use to auto-heal herself (though if she takes that much damage she usually just dies).

Advantage of Venom Draki: it uses Water magic which I don't have.

Advantage of Dark Draki: it causes Fear, which could lead opponents to run and trigger reaction attacks and traps. Also it unlocks Great Morale Mastery which I don't have (though probably wouldn't use).

Disadvantage of all of them: I have gotten a couple of legendary beasts and White Cloud is nearing max level and so far has been super effective. So do I really need a dragon or four? (Obviously I'll get four. I have a second egg already).

Was playing 7 Days for a few hours when my PC suddenly rebooted all on its own. Just, bam, everything goes black and reboots.  Luckily the game is the type with no manual saving but autosaves (like it's "online") every few seconds or something.  But now I'm paranoid.  I've played it for 5ish hours in a row several times recently, nothing happened. Wasn't over-heating/no symptoms beforehand. I can only guess I hit some random game bug? Or because I hadn't rebooted the PC in a few weeks? Or...

*scratches head* ... well I don't  feel like troubleshooting. If it doesn't happen again I won't worry about it. First time the PC has done something like that since I built it, tho.

That's a shame, because it is a good game. But everyone is allowed to play whatever they want. Just because some of us are playing a lot of Troubleshooter does not mean you have to as well. But if you change your mind, we'll be here to cheer you on!

There was also the DLC for the second one where you start with basically nothing and have to go out on expeditions to make progress. That one was pretty neat.

Pretty "easy" to check in the event viewer why the PC reboted. You just need to make sense of the error code, but usually google provides.

Also, I've looked at that thing before, I can make no heads or tails of any of it and google requires you to understand the results. I'm no longer good with techno babble.
