i was playing with rougetech but since they added more lances game slowed down to crawl. Any better mods out there?

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

I finished Shadow of the Torture Porn Raider. Good game, definitely my favorite in the trilogy. It's the most exploration and puzzle solving heavy and combat light of the 3 games and it has the best designed tomb puzzles and the best run for your life setpieces. There is still plenty of killing, with one sequence in particular roughly 2/3 of the way through the game where Lara goes full on psycho murderer killing spree, but the combat is spread far apart and there are long stretches in the game where you do very little to no fighting, so I can see how some people that play these games mainly for the combat might have not liked this game as much. I'm at about 93% completion, so I might try to 100% the game. I have a few days to kill.

I think I'm going to start playing Kentucky Route Zero around the 24th or 25th. No way I finish the first 4 episodes before the 5th one comes out on the 28th. I'm so excited, I've been patiently waiting so long for this.

I think I am pretty far along in Outer Worlds. At least it feels that way - all companion quests done, no other side quests available in any of the areas I have visited so far.

"Better" is subjective. I decided to install Extended 3025 based on what I read in this post. I wrote RT off because I hated the Korean MMO-style grind it introduced in the first releases, and from what I read, it hasn't got any better with new versions in that regard. Systems-wise it's second to none, though. Also 16 GB is the minimum so your PC doesn't crap out while the AI thinks. Advanced 3062 might be more up your alley.

Played Fortnite for the very first time

...

...

...

And came in very first place on Battle Royale out of like 100 or so players.

Is all this pent up rage turning me into a freak of nature or what?  Don't even know if I wanna play anymore...

Thanks, going to give BTA a shot

That is if I can ever log into Nexus

Feel free to share your impressions. I've been tempted to try it again but the prospect of 30-min missions puts me off.

That might actually make me want to try the game (there is a free trial version on steam). The Tomb Raider anniversary edition was a huge disappointment, with plenty of boring combat and little to no exploration (which was what made me love the original Tomb Raider game). It was like a "running on rails" shooter with sub-par combat. I decided at the time, that Crystal Dynamics had had no f*** clue about what made the original game fun.

Note to self, try out the trial version when getting home tonight.

The trial area isn't as good as the main game which is weird because trials/demos ect. are supposed to be designed to make you buy the game.

Also what combat there is, is actually great because there's plenty of stealth kill combo situations (provided you picked the right skills of course).

One day I'll make my own game. Then, instead of the player gaining reputation with factions, the factions will gain reputation with the player.

And instead of the player completing quests, the quests will complete the player!

It will be a true journey of self-improvement.

I will make a war game where all that happens is you going on patrol and nothing ever happening.

^ My fave unit in Majesty was the Monks. Especially before they patched it so units couldn't pick up more than one of those stats types ground loot items, which Monks loved to pick up. When they'd picked up maybe 4 or 5 of those they were literally invulnerable. It's the reason I'd install it from original disc and play it for a while like that before patching it. Good times.

I feel like the monks are kind of hard to convince to do... well, anything. They don't respond all that well to bounty flags and tend to crawl around the settlement while uttering "ooooh" and "ommm" sounds. Which is fun, but still. 😛

For me, the most fun unit is the cultist. I've always had a blast spamming them, perhaps even more so in scenarios that heavily encourage healers/paladins.

They like money. Lots and lots of money. Not the "give up material things" kind of Monk.

I never finished the Northern Expansion maps. Another one of those games I should reinstall one day.

I liked how different classes interacted. Rangers backing up Barbarians. Healers following Paladins and Monks around. Cultists of Fervus... doing whatever the mushroom induced hallucinations and 4th wall breaking told them.

Such a shame, from your pitch meeting I was burning in anticipation for an officially licensend “In Soviet Russia, the game plays you!” title 😞

Speaking of Soviet Russia, I enjoyed playing Republic: The Revolution. Never finished it, but it was like Gangsters, just with political parties.

Just finished Tokyo Xanadu. I'll write up my final thoughts on it later. For now I need some sleep (it's past 1AM right now), but suffice it to say, I liked it enough to stay up late four nights in a row playing it.

I've tried playing some MGS5 on my new TV (via HDMI cable from my PC) and noticed some odd behavior: Whenever I'm standing still and don't move, the whole screen seems to sharpen a lot. Tried to make a screenshot of it, but there it isn't visible, so I'm assuming the TV is doing some weird post processing on (mostly?) still images. It's pretty ugly, because everything gets bright, white-ish borders.

Does anyone around know about this? My old TV wasn't doing that... then again, my old TV also wasn't a 4k one.
