Every time I try to enter the Byzantium maintenance tunnels the game crashes to desktop, with no error message, after finishing the loading screen. I've tried to enter the tunnels from the two entrances (by parcel service and acropolis) and it crashes in both cases. I am playing PC from the Epic Games Store. Windows 10 Nvidia GTX 1070 Game Version: Rell.2.0.418

Because of the pinned thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103029-issues-with-nvidia-graphics-cards/ Still a thing or fixed?

Hi, The issues with Nvidia post was made in June of last year. Is Nvidia going to provide support for this product? I still have issues with a 1080 Ti even after the Special K patch. The issues are: 1. Alt-tabbing from Windowed mode, it often takes 1-2 minutes to alt-tab back into the game and often I can see the screen working behind other windows but it doesn't respond to mouse clicks and doesn't come to the front. 2. Choppy framerate issues. Even after following the recommended guide. 3. Huge load times even with SSD + 32Gb + i7-8700K I loved Pillars 1 but am really struggling

Hi, I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 graphics card. I tried the settings in the post for the Nvidia cards (https://support.obsidian.net/article/35-frame-rate-issues-and-constant-crashing-with-nvidia-gfx-cards), but that didn't help. When the game gets started, my computer sounds much louder, like the hard drive is running extra hard or something. Then in a few short minutes my computer crashes and I need to reboot. I don't see any error logs in the Steam/steamapps/common/Pillars of Eternity II folder. I've played lots of games with no problems: PoE (original), Divinity, Divinity II, etc.. M

Good afternoon, Am experiencing a curious oddity of a crash. I've played through PoE before on my Toshiba laptop and had no real issues. However, I recently upgraded to a new (non-laptop) computer, and decided "you know, I think I want to replay PoE and import my character into PoE 2, now that it's out". I've a relatively new system, which includes a GeForce GTX 1060, a Realtek soundtrack, an obnoxious amount of RAM, and no idea why the game locks up. Naturally, I've updated my Nvidia and Real Tek drivers, and despite that the crashes still occur. Upon attempting to load the gam

So, I've seen a few people discuss this in other threads, but not this exact issue. I'm not completely sure what the problem is here. Seems like a potential driver issue, but I'm not 100% on that. I have rolled my my nVidia drivers to see if that would stifle the issue, but nothing has seemed to help thus far. My current drivers are 397.64. I've made it to the character creation screen several times and every time, without fail, my game seems to crash. You can still hear the music looping, but both of my displays go black. This prompts me to do a hard reset because there is no other way to ac

This is a call for the developers. But first an introduction: There is a bug with nvidia optimus technology on windows 10. It's pretty well documented and reported and pretty old. The details, along with investigation and a guide made by me can be found here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1008527/geforce-mobile-gpus/-guide-diagonal-screen-tearing-problems-with-optimus-nvidias-control-panel-not-working-like-it-should-need-a-fix-get-in-here/ In short, most unity games, and most games running with a Dx9 renderer, when played on a laptop with an nvidia card and windows 10 will get

Hi, Since upgrading to Windows 10, PoE has done nothing but crash. I’ve traced a problem back to the original OS install with an NVidia driver (the hideous day one driver issue that was well reported) issue and I thought I’d rectified that with a complete OS fresh install and the latest ISO of Windows 10, but the problem resurfaced again. My system is pretty respectable (System Config attached) and I think I’ve done everything reasonable to work out what is going on here. I played and completed the game in Windows 8.1 with no crashes or problems of any kind. I’ve looked in Ste

Hello Everyone! I will explain how you can use NVidia driver activated FXAA (Anti Aliasing) with Pillars of Eternity. For this to work two things are necessary. 1. Activate FXAA in the NVidia driver panel. 2. Permanently deactivate MSAA in the game. Unfortunately this is as of now not possible with on board tools because MSAA always reverts back to its original state after you transitioned into another area or loaded a save game. However, there is a little tool called PoEKey available that automatically deactivates MSAA every time it is necessary. It achieves that by automatically

Hi.. I own an Eyefinity-System and I love playing games in huge resolutions (5780x1080). As a matter of fact, a game like Project Eterniy is not the typical type of game supporting huge resulitions because of the restrictions/size of maps/dungeons/whatever. Nonetheless a proper support of eyefinty(AMD)/Surround(Nvidia) with a centered UI and proper "zoom" would be a great plus to the game. Maybe it would be possible to use the both side monitors for maps/inventory etc.
