Romance, Marriage, Pregnancy and having Children.
What makes you guys say the majority of backers want romance, because ~75 people voted in some forum poll one of you made up? You do realize there are like 73k other backers who never visit this board, right?

Don't listen to the naysayers Ros. I say you should ride that situation into the ground and then tuck and roll from the resultant explosion.

RPG Codex Josh Sawyer Q&A
Sounds reasonable to me but I have doubts about the Accuracy thing. Napkin theory crafting; Assuming the vast majority of players will stay on the critical path, that puts the mook levels +/- 1-2 levels of the players party. That lands squarely within the laughable 95% chance to cause damage. With that in mind, you will have to travel well off the critical path to encounter situations where your Accuracy is too far below the mook Defense to penetrate, making Accuracy a moot point. Now they will have to add some modifier into Accuracy to make it worth taking over pure damage output. Maybe. Is that really all we have for abilities? Sad. But FLAVA!

RPG Codex Josh Sawyer Q&A
I guess we'll have to wait and see. To me, it seems like hes simply renaming D&D mechanics: Attack of Opportunity is now Disengagement Attack, Berserker is now whatever they are calling Barbarian rage, Weapons Specializations are now all rolled into a generic "Damage". Choosing a weapons specialization never before sacrificed other mechanics but I think you are right that these mechanics will be tweaked to punish players if they do not spend points in a Jack-of-all-trades kind of build. Adequate at everything, great at nothing.

RPG Codex Josh Sawyer Q&A
You are certainly entitled to your opinion. For me, in a combat centric game, I want to be able to bring the hurt and a mechanic who's sole purpose in life is to increase damage across the board is more important to me than +1 HP per level, or whatever similar mechanics you are referring to.

RPG Codex Josh Sawyer Q&A
Why are you two specifically tying damage to accuracy? Is there some mechanic which dictates that if I pump Damage I MUST sacrifice Accuracy? Also, I don't understand the example "killed when a goblin comes near you". Is there now an "Armor/DR" skill that is also diametrically opposed to Damage?

RPG Codex Josh Sawyer Q&A
I could be wrong but that's not how I understand the post by Sawyer. I read that as there will be one stat, lets call it "Damage", that will influence all damage output whether it be physical or magical. I don't know about you but that's one stat Im going to be pouring points into as it influences a gigantic portion of the entire game.

I don't follow how shifting from weapons specializations to ONE STAT TO RULE THEM ALL in any way reduces dump stats. Wont everyone just pump that stat now?

That's what I thought. I was surprised Raithe's friend had accumulated medical bills they couldn't cover. Isnt it a simple credit score check?

Sounds like a Catch 22. Just curious, but in what situations are Brits expected to pay their own medical bills?

What you did today
That's not unusual. I had to pass a credit check back in 96' for my current job. At that time, the logic was that I would occasionally have to make business purchases on my personal credit cards, to be reimbursed with an expense report of course. I think it also displays to employers a certain level of responsibility of potential employees.

Kids react to interracial Cheerios commercial controversy
The point is that YouTube comments are a drop in the piss bucket when compared to the viewing audience as a whole and are virtually irrelevant. Also, discrimination is taught, not genetic, so the fact that they trot out a bunch of prepubescent children to look all confused is not a "fight against bigotry". Interracial relationships have been televised since before you were born, hence I feel the entire "controversy" is fabricated to get web clicks.

Kids react to interracial Cheerios commercial controversy
This stinks of one of those made of "controversies". There have been interracial couples on TV since The Jefferson's.

Kids react to interracial Cheerios commercial controversy
The fact that the family depicted in the commercial is biracial. I didn't even know there was a controversy.

This George Zimmerman thing
Regarding prison demographics, unless you feel there are police squads that roam the streets indiscriminately rounding up minorities and framing them with evidence, (almost) every incarcerated person has actually committed a crime. Shocking, right? Now you will no doubt now argue that the sentences are unfair, and there is merit to that, but (almost) nobody is incarcerated simply for being a minority.
