  1. Ill never own one until they become significantly less expensive, and recharge as fast as I fill up my gas tank.
  2. FYI, at least with the libraries around here, you can now download the library books to your e-readers.

  5. Did you watch until the mid-credits scene?
  6. ^^Snoop dog and one of his sons! Wonder what that cost them?
  7. ^I fall into the second category but I dont backslide. Im closer to the end than the beginning and dont want to be all busted up when I get to my retirement years so I exercise 3-4 times a week (just in my home, no gym membership here) but I dont "eat healthy". I just got my annual physical blood results yesterday, and despite my best efforts, Im healthy as a horse lol. I dont want to outlive my wife but Im 5 years older so hopefully that wont be an issue.
  8. Unemployment benefits are a little more nuanced than that. From Google (its a little out of date but): "Long-Term Unemployed Rise: By August 2025, the number of people unemployed for 27 weeks or longer—those most likely to exhaust state benefits—surged, with more than one in four (25.7%) unemployed Americans out of work for over half a year." So people will eventually drop off the books.

  10. ^Nah. We've been at a constant state of warfare since Y2001 and we're really good at it now.

  12. Hmm, Google also tells me that "1% of individuals committing 63% of violent crimes" so maybe Gorth/Malcador math checks out. That means 817 MILLION people living in poverty is going to create a lot of wackadoos. I mean, theyre obviously not in it to uplift their community, and theyre not getting rich doing it, so its really just about inflicting violence on anyone with a different viewpoint until the cycle repeats and its their turn in the tire fire. Perhaps the true solution is giving everyone access to mental health services so they can work out that angry thats inside them?

  14. According to Google, ~817 MILLION people live below the poverty level (<$3 / day / person / PPP), yet somehow the vast majority manage to live their lives without becoming radicalized.
  15. Sounds like those countries just need to instituted a UBI and their problems will vanish overnight. 🤔
  16. ^I dont know about that. What with Germany, Japan and (presumably) Italy having recently unshackled their defense budgets, we have concrete evidence of the formation of Axis² and them steamrolling to a fascist nirvana with the rest of Europe at their heels. May the Flying Spaghetti Monster forever damn them to a bottomless pit of marinara.
