1. As you point out, isnt that the case for everything? Any random local could wander out into the desert with an RPG-7 and punch big holes in big pipes. Imo, that cant be a reason to stifle progress and also let some country declare themselves owners of international waters. Out of morbid curiosity, I was wondering if it was technically feasible to ignite a subsurface oil field (a la the Centralia mine fire) but apparently the Ahvaz field is approximately 2400 meters deep so not even all our GBU-57 would do the trick.
2. Iran Demands Bitcoin and Crypto for Strait of Hormuz Toll Payments Clever. Maybe we should sink Kharg Island under the waves? Alternatives to Strait of Hormuz? Gulf nations are mulling Plan B Maybe new pipelines? It would pay for itself in months vs tolls!
3. Imo, with the introduction of AI, we are going to enter into a feedback loop of "garbage in, garbage out". Just imagine some LLM scraping this very thread and then regurgitating it back to someone else. Anyone can post anything on the internet and the AI will hoover it up. The fall of humanity will come because we're stupid, and we taught the AI to be stupid too.
4. Its been fully replaced by sh**posting. The goal isnt the exchange of conversation, its to WIN!! Do Canadians boil it down to toll booth revenues? Perhaps chants of "pretty please leave the ME"? A couple of birds shot down? Whats the criteria?
5. Iran: "Heres our wishlist" Internet interpretation: "HAHAHAHAHAHA, USA LOST!" I cant wait until our AI overlords take over. 🤦‍♂️ Its going to take a looooooooong time just to replace their navy a $2M / ship passage.
6. *sigh* what a 🤡 Its embarrassing to read, like I have to peek between my own fingers when I see it.

8. I cant seem to find a link that I feel is reputable, and the mention of grok instantly makes my BS-dar flicker, but heres a counterstory: Iran War News: Iran Claims 2 US F-35 Jets Shot Down In 24 Hours, Grok Tells Different Story Edit: Looks like it was an F-15E: Photos Of F-15E Wreckage Emerge Amid Iranian Claims It Shot Down An American Fighter

17. Iran is attacking Gulf States that have allowed the US to launch attacks on Iran from their territory. Completely justified position IMO.
18. As stated in the article, because of the Venezuela decapitation. Why would a US attorney general be the target of Iran?
19. I dont understand the tie to Iran. 3 were moved in Oct 2025 over concerns for their safety from US citizens: Top Trump Officials Are Moving Onto Military Bases - The Atlantic Bondi was moved over concerns from "cartels": Bondi moved to heavily guarded military base amid cartel threats So where are you getting your information? Link?
20. Four v1 have been delivered and as recently as July 2025 the Army bought two more v2: Epirus Receives $43.5 Million Contract from U.S. Army for IFPC-HPM Generation II Systems I agree that all DE weapons suffer from environmental limitations (rain, snow, clouds, haboob, smoke) but it seems to me that ("human safe" lol) microwaves offer a better option than pewpewing single targets with a laser.
21. I think it would work on missiles too, but I havent seen a test against one. It wouldnt drop out of the sky like a stone, but it would probably lose navigation, communication and warhead fuse arming. Sea mines are a whole different problem. Hear me out here, we put some robots in the deckhouse.
22. Yes, its a real platform: Epirus Leonidas High-Power Microwave: Directed Energy for cUAS, cUAS Swarms, Counter Electronics Can defeat swarms, 2km range, 360 degree slew, pennies on the dollar to fire...there must be some fatal flaw that I dont understand yet or why else arent we pumping these out like the Model T?
