SAVED GAME: Link STEPS: 1. Load the attached saved game. 2. Use the console to spawn a dummy (cre_dummy) to enter combat. 3. Kill the dummy. 4. Once the combat state ends and everybody's weapons are back in the sheath, enter the inventory. 5. Observe that most characters (though sometimes not necessarily all of them) are still holding their weapons. It may get to ridiculous situations like this one:

Quick note. I've decided not to give up on this build just yet. I will wait until all three paid DLCs are out and take a look at it again to see where it stands without any mods or Berath's Blessings; if I like what I see, I'll post a full-blown update. However, I will most surely use both myself in my every playthrough and I will heartily endorse the use of a mod that brings weapon recovery times back to what they were in the first iteration of the Deadfire backer beta (I made that mod for myself and will eventually publish it on the Nexus.) If you're keen on using the build right now: Replace Whispers of the Endless Paths with Blade of the Endless Paths. The latter has better base damage, better penetration, very good enchantments for single-target DPS (which is what this build is about), and the Quickened Blade enchantment to make up for part of the speed lost to nerfs. Equip Cutthroat Cosmo from the beginning of the game to enjoy the reduction in armor recovery penalty. You may switch to Nalvi later on to benefit the entire party at the cost of a 3% for the Lady of Pain. Use Mohora Wraps as your go-to food as soon as you can. Its -20% recovery time stacks with the extra Action Speed from Swift Flurry / Lightning Strikes and helps to make up for the speed lost to nerfs. If you're using Berath's Blessings, strike my original suggestion to allocate them to Resolve and go for 18 Dexterity. This should bring you back to where the build originally was speed-wise (in fact, slightly better off if using Berath's Blessings and Mohora Wraps in conjunction), with higher DPH and Penetration. The latter should suffice for just about anything; if you run into an enemy that is straight-up immune to Pierce damage, switch to your fists (with which you're automatically proficient) and enjoy the extra speed while you're at it.

Hey Boeroer, I think we can remove the "deprecated" tag from the Lady of Pain for now. I won't be updating the build until all three paid DLCs are out and we're on 4.0, but it might be possible to make it OK without any mods or Berath's Blessings (although I'll use both in my every playthrough.)

Akin to this issue (which by the way still exists in 2.0) but not quite the same. Our friend Pallegina will help us illustrate. This is what Pallegina looks like when she's only wearing a cloak: Looks about right? It does, but here's what happens when she wears a plate armor: The plate's pauldrons are quite a bit taller than her shoulders, and the cloak is supposed to rest on top of the pauldrons, not where Pallegina's shoulders would normally be. Male humans have the same issue, except it is a lot less pronouncedâto the point that you'll notice if you specifically look for it. On female models, as shown above, it is quite outstanding and makes one want to disable the cloak's visuals. (As is the case for the female aumaua model, which is problematic both with and without armor.)

SAVED GAME: Link STEPS: This is how it went down for me; no idea how sensitive to timing this. If it is very sensitive to timing, repro may require a few tries. 1. Load the attached saved game. 2. Talk to Serafen. He'll give you the dialog from after completing his quest. 3. Once that dialog's over, click the button to talk to Serafen again. 4. Serafen will then initiate dialog with youâthe dialog in which he gives you Fair Favor (an equippable hat.) Accept the hat. 5. After that dialog's over, observe that it is repeated immediately thereafter. You can accept the hat again, and you will have it twice in your inventory. The dialog in which Serafen gives you Fair Favor is automatic (i.e. Serafen initiates it with no need for player input very shortly after having the completed-quest dialog.) If you try to talk to Serafen in-between the completed-quest dialog and the Fair Favor dialog, the latter will happen twice.

You should add to the cons that Tekehu looks positively hideous (and way overweight) in plate armor Great work as always! Doesn't plate armor make him a tad slow on the recovery side? Granted, you can use Nalvi to ameliorate this to an extent, but with no Armored Grace or other mitigating factors, I'd expect recovery to be a pain for his spellcasting.

I havenât really played yet (Iâll probably wait until all three DLCs are out for my next completionist playthrough) but I did try the Priest of Rymrgand subclass (thanks, Unity Console.) Its high-level uniques are pretty goodâespecially Call of Rymrgand, which is essentially Pull of Eora plus damage and shortening of beneficial effect duration. I expect Iâll want Vatnir around for those, if anything.
