  1. In the trailer. Meh. I'm talking about actual gameplay like fighting that is more than just a couple seconds of effect - those tell me nothing. I mean something like the Wasteland 2 gameplay videos.
  2. This seems interesting. I always like it when there are several viable builds in an RPG and not just one optimal one.
  3. The interiors and exteriors look very good imo. They really capture the old infinity style of super detailed graphics. On the other hand I think that the character models seem to contrast a bit with that (see trailer). They don't seem to be as detailed and good looking as the environemnts.
  4. I neeeed more ArcanumLP. Can't we clone Avellone 2 times so that one can work on Eternity, one can work on Torment and one can be a professional let's player?
  5. Elemental magic should be in the game with the different effects for different types of magic. That alone is not enough though. There should be instead many 'classes' of magic like damage, buffs/debuffs, summonings, enviromental stuff, telekinesis, ... What I'd like to see is magic that alters the flow of the battle. For example summoning/throwing a rock/stalagmite that stays on the battlefield as a blockade, pushing and pulling enemies and friends, enviromental hazards like water and lava, that you can push enemies into, creating a tidal wave if you are near water, summon a lava elemental if you are near lava, summoning a storm/wind/heat/rain/snow, that alter your attacks and the attacks of the enemies, an ability like earthquake that lets you destroy other barriers (like the rock that you summoned),... Imagine the possibilities; your party is facing an opponent in a somewhat narrow hallway. Your mage summons rocks/a hole that leads to hell or your fighter throws some stuff that lies around the battlefield to create a chokepoint. Then you block the choke with your warrior and your other mage prepares a massive aoe attack, that hits right after you pulled your fighter back with your telekinesis char. That seems much more fun to me then the difference between an arrowshot and a magic missle.

  7. 1. This not exponential growth. 2. Should stronger guys not get more basedamage? Will every guy just do the same dmg? It makes little sense imo.
  8. I think it's imporant, that there is no [intelligence], because it makes the answer too easy to guess. The option should only be available if the char is smart enough but there should never be an Int-check, because if the char has come up with the argument he should obviously be intelligent enough to formulate it.
  9. No, especially if there's no exp reward for it. I like "chapter" dependant respawn though. If the story moves on and the time moves on some monsters respawn (see Gothic).
  10. What??? He attacks me and I don't have a right to defend myself? What kind of ****ty law is that?
  11. Probably because they don't have the discipline to do it on their own and want someone else to hold their hand. On the other hand I'd like to know too how certain features are intended by the dev. If I can restspam I am obviously supposed to and if I find the super mega weapon x in the second dungeon I am obviously supposed to wear it. I expect the game to be balanced around it.
  12. Yes, it's a part of a reactive world. In that department Obsidian has to still learn a lot.
  13. Why not for some lines where it makes sense. Like when you get new knowlage you literally get more experience. But not too much.
  14. Yes put it in. It's a clear weakness of all RPGs that aren't Gothic.

  16. I don't like potions that let you kill everything cheaply by just throwing money at the enemy. They should be rare-ish but there definately should be potions, so you can actually have a chance vs bosses or bosses have to have really low hp. I at least like the idea of preparing for a dungeon by buying a few potions and antidotes and stuffies.
