Humor. How much, where and what type?
Threads like this makes me wanna sighloud and facepalm a lot. Yes, there will be jokes. And characters. Exciting, isn't it.

tier $80 - 2x digital download of the game (another computer?)
The "X number of digital downloads" reward seems a bit useless at the moment, due to current absence of co-op function in prognosis.

kabaliero replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Though the way to proper Higher difficulty is activation of improved Artificial Intelligence. Not "MOAR monstar HP & DMG zomg!!1!"

[Merged] Co-Op Multiplayer as some potential future stretchgoal?
Come on, guys. If there's such a thing as Hall of Heroes, that literally supports a pc-only playthrough without involving all the deeply worked NPCs... Why not let ppl just have a BG-like co-op option? And what's with all the hating? "All games have co-op now!" Since when exactly that happened? I don't recall a good rpg that allows you to play campaign with your friend. The last one was IWD2. (Not counting console anime hell) From what i've seen this past decade there just was a lot of frustration in the form of "Man, i wish i could play this with my buddy\bf\gf\!" Out of utter loneliness, ppl made a MMO from Fallout 2, for god sake! To Obsidian: Please, guys, don't fully deny the possibility of co-op implementation. It can wait, just don't make it so that it will never be possible. Ok?

Movement speed....
Again, i'm gonna mention Jagged Alliance 2 and it's Stamina system. A guy shouldn't be able to "Always Run = on" with all the inventory and armour. IMHO.

Unwinnable Encounters?
I'll just hint by saying "Eclipse". That party turned tables, makin' the player's party feel like the mobs being thwacked for xp and lewt. With Eclipse's gear however, the final boss and his minions went down like a bunch of kobolds. Ofc there's gotta be some hard-to-take-down dudes \ parties, who'd make the player regret quarrelin' with them, or jumpin' 'em, like Drizzt, for example. But no cheating invincible ubers pls. If it's gotta be a god's avatar - give him a lot of stuff, but make it real. As lore-friendly, as the PC's party.

Daayum.~ No online fantasy action with nerd chicks, and not even with my wife. Man, this is bad news but o-ok. And yes. Alistair surely did not suffice. I was thinkin' more of Solaufein mod by that brainiac dude. You know. Toolset would be welcome, btw. But singleplayer games do not often inspire much enthusiasm. Not counting attempts to make a co-op mod. Or at least somethin' pvp oriented.

This. Deep thorough romances. And not too user-friendly! The onces you don't instantly realize you screwed up right after picking a dialogue choice. As an example of successful dialogue, i could cite convincing Sarevok into change of alignment. And... I'm a guy. But let's remember about the other half of gaming community. (yes, it's close to half alrdy, about 40%) Romances for Females. As deep and thought-out, as for the guys. I mean, after a decade+ somebody has to compensate for the Anomen nightmare those poor women suffered. Edit: Oh! Oh! And - if there's gonna be co-op multiplayer. I would welcome assurance that nobody misses anything. Like, failing party banters cause of lag... ugh. Hell, i'd give another 25 for all that.

Rest, injuries and recuperation
At some points of Fallout or JA2, you had to choose how much debuff-type of damage you are willing to take, to achieve a particular victory. It was hard to deal with, but it made player think thoroughly and plan actions carefuly, which gave a special taste of coolness, if you came out victorious.

Live recorded music, Poll 2.0
In BG2 i remember manually replacing some combat and casual day\night music with tracks from BG1. Which were more attractive, IMHO. So BG1\ToB\IWD1 style soundtracks please. Those were perfect. Don't know if they used live performance though. And don't rly care.

Continue playing after the end of the story?
I heard many times that the end of ToB or PS:T made ppl literally cry coz it stated very clearly "That's it, dude. Everyone and everything you've ever known are gone. And so are you." So it'd be nice that the ending of the main plot was rather like a new step in the game, than just "pack your stuff and byebye! here, read some credits".
