I used to have DS9 on DVD but that's long been lost. I'll see if I can buy the series somewhere. I've been considering dropping Netflix for a while since they keep raising prices and barely put out anything that interests me while cancelling or losing the rights to the stuff that does. I can always sub for a month if that ever changes.

Not hating it is fine. Liking it, however, is unforgiveable. I'm mostly kidding as I like some terrible, horrible, no good, very bad shows as well... though I did stop talking to my dad for about 6 months when he said he liked Picard. I'm still trying to get over it.

Spent half the night discussing this with my wife because while it doesn't seem that complicated, and it's not, she kept throwing out fictional people she wanted to play her. Her picks were Jadzia Dax (not Terry Farrell) and Angelina Jolie though they look nothing like her and are just her girl crushes. My pick was Powers Boothe but he's dead and I'm not sure how comfortable he would be with the nudity required for the role.

My LG stove looks similar to what you have above and I can turn off the sounds and flashing lights (for preheating) in settings. My washer and dryer make annoying sounds but I leave them on so I don't forget about the clothes in them because I'm easily distracted.

I read it as prison isn't doing much as a deterrent to crime and/or the prison population doesn't reflect crime rates. IIRC our prison population boom was tied to the war on drugs and sentencing law/policy changes

Considering selling my condo. It'd fetch a pretty penny but I doubt I'd ever be able to afford buying in that area ever again unless the market tanks worse than the great recession. The HOA doesn't allow short term rentals and having long term tenants isn't as lucrative.
