This was my first time using the blender for hollandaise and can highly recommend it. I went a little overboard and made bacon wrapped filet mignon topped with a bone marrow and black garlic butter. Served with mashed potatoes and a red wine gravy. I got bored.

Made my wife a version of eggs Benedict. Poached eggs took longer than I expected to get perfect since I haven't done them in a while but hollandaise sauce was excellent and I actually made in the blender this time around. For the meat I've been using chopped Serrano ham since I had it that way in Costa Rica once and fell in love with it.

Mimosas spiked with 99 whatevers. So far I've had the peach (fuzzy navel mimosa ftw), pineapple, mango, and cherry lime.

I just had the worst stout ever. Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout. Terrible, horrible, awful. I guess if you love IPAs and are trying to branch out into stouts then maybe this'll be your speed but if this is your speed we can never drink together.

@BruceVC, the goal here is just understanding. I'm not trying to convince them of anything and I doubt I'll be swayed by their arguments but I don't think there should be no dialogue just because neither side can "win." Because as I just said, that's not the goal here.

Wife's family is more split than ever now. The ones that support Russia don't want to hear anything contrary to their beliefs and get really angry when you ask them to explain their position after complaining that no one is taking their view into account. The only bright spot is my wife's aunt in St Petersburg, she says there's nothing she can do about so why discuss it. That's not great but better than the indignation you get from everyone else. Cousin in Ukraine was nearly killed the other day when Russia struck Kiev during the UN visit.

I revisited Pepsi Nitro once I got my hands on the non-vanilla version. This one is much better and less sweet. It's still diabetes inducing but tastes more like Pepsi. I also bought a bottle of Lagavulin 8 year. I was so close to springing for the 16 year but I swear it's about 40 bucks more than I remember it being.

I feel like all cop shows are mostly propaganda and unrealistic. Just like most westerns are about as realistic of a portrayal of their time as a Knight's Tale is of the middle ages.
