  1. The Lakers beat the Supersonics Germany beat Turkey
  2. I ended up canceling Netflix after the millionth time logging in and scrolling through all the soulless crap, then giving up without watching anything. I'm pretty sure my time browsing Netflix has surpassed my time actually watching it.
  3. This is my take as well. Besides, we all know it's the Voth.
  4. School shooting today in my kid's district too
  5. Been playing a bit of Star Trek Online and just finished another game of Rogue Trader. Nothing is really interesting me right now.
  6. Grilled some burgers and I also fried up some yucca chips to pair with it instead of fries
  7. I'm more concerned about Trump trying to end cashless bail than the flag stuff, which, really doesn't matter at all, and has no impact on anyone's life. That said, I have no faith that the Supreme Court won't bend to Trump on this, but it should still pretty unlikely since it's been ruled to be protected free speech. If you can't afford bail you can sit behind bars for weeks, months, or even over a year while waiting for trial just because you're poor. These aren't people who the judge has denied bail because of the seriousness of the crime or their criminal history, but rather people who have been granted bail and just can't afford it.
  8. https://www.polygon.com/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines-2-release-date-preview/ Doesn't seem too impressive based on this preview
  9. I liked 2 better as well, and even though 4 only has an announcement trailer, I already like it more than 3.
  10. I wanna say this also had egg white in it
  11. Made an approximation of bibimbap. Grocery store near me sells shaved steak and I marinated that in some Bibigo BBQ sauce and also cooked down some shiitake mushrooms in a miso soy mix. Fried an egg over easy and served it all with some fresh veggies; shredded carrots, green onion, cilantro, and maybe something else I'm forgetting. Big dollop of gochujang on top and kimchi and sliced cucumber on the side. A lime may have also made an appearance.
  12. Had some white sausages with pretzel and sweet mustard in Munich. The one bite I had was delicious but then my kids, who didn't want anything, ate the rest. At least I had the beer to myself. Probably the worst service I've ever had in my life though.
  13. I love the spicy mustard here. It's like wasabi or a horseradish but better. Father-in-law has been hot smoking whole salmons and we just been devouring them with some lemon, salt, dill, and mustard.
  14. Maybe we're finally getting sanctuary districts https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Sanctuary_District
  15. Went to Hermann Castle today at the insistence of my son. I wasn't eager, because while it was interesting the last time I went, I didn't think he would enjoy it. He wanted a marshmallow right before we left, and I gave it to him, figuring he'd at least have some fun hopped up on candy aisle marching powder. These were giant marshmallows, and I started regretting my life choices on the walk over to the castle. He was vibrating at a scary frequency—too much marsh and not enough "mellow." Anyway, my fears were a bit unfounded. He settled down by the time we got there and was super excited and interested to see everything. They really updated the castle, and it was a joy to walk through this time. It felt much more like a modern museum than the olde tyme castle it was during my previous visit. Highly recommend it if you're ever in Narva! The castle, not the marshmallow.
  16. Gongonzola, serrano ham, spicy salami, and Castelvetrano olives.
  17. Huh, I never thought people might have Prime Video without Amazon Prime. Seems obvious but it somehow never occurred to me.
  18. I'm ready to go home but still have another week here. The bright side of me being so bored here is that I've been able to teach my kids a little ASL and they're getting quite good at it.
  19. Give it whirl and see how you like it. I found you an actual recipe for them. https://thecookful.com/hard-scrambled-eggs-the-american-method/ Everyone in my house will eat those "rough" scrambled eggs but then they start differing from there and I like to tell them I'm not a short order cook. Wife likes sunny side up, son likes sunny side up, over easy, or over hard and smashed, daughter only likes scrambled and not whisked. LCD wins 90% of the time so we typically all eat what my daughter likes.
  20. My father in law has been making breakfast for the kids everyday but this morning he wanted to see how I make my daughter scrambled eggs because she hasn't been eating his. It's basically just because he whisks the eggs together first which she doesn't like. For those unfamiliar with non whisked scrambled eggs, crack the egg or eggs into the oiled, we use butter, pan and let it sit for a moment so the whites can set a bit before stirring every so often until the desired doneness. My daughter likes it with a dollop of this mixed in at the end This isn't necessary but if I add it then I can guarantee she'll finish it and ask for more. Son is a little easier as he likes his eggs multiple ways. Doesn't really matter though as he's mostly been eating oatmeal or crepes for breakfast.
  21. My wife often shows me articles about how millennials not only look younger than older generations did at their age but also younger than gen Z does as well. Dunno if that's just cope or if there's really anything to it but sunscreen and smoking/vaping are commonly cited reasons. Dunno, but I feel like I've mentioned this before. E: reminds me of a Brendan Fraser movie where he grows up in a bomb shelter and looks way younger than he actually is.
  22. Tried watching Ironheart again but could barely get through the second episode. I think I'm just going to skip this one.
  23. I always wore sunscreen as a kid and young adult and so did pretty much everyone I knew. We also covered up a lot more too. Now I try to avoid being out in the sun though I still do sunscreen when I can't, like the vampires in Blade.
