  1. Finished Solasta, interesting enough even with the straight forward story I think I might replay it, though might wait for the Sorcerer DLC. The power gamer in me wants to create the ultimate party now that I have all the meta knowledge in what gear is available, and what to expect. I also just read the studio is opening a partner studio to create a new game in the world, which is pretty cool. Would love them to continue to work on the graphics and interface because I would love them to come out with something as polished as POE2, that ran as smooth. Solasta is a little chunky ... is that

  2. We know it's Divinity: Original Sin 3 in all but name and setting. That's enough for many people to be disappointed. Many of the friends and acquaintances I have that enjoyed the Baldur's Gate series did not enjoy the D:OS-games all that much. Regardless of whether the game is any good as it is, anyone expecting something even remotely resembling the Baldur's Gate series is going to majorly disappointed, because this ain't it. I'm still baffled by the need to abuse the name of a long completed series and then make a game nothing like it. A game that, from the looks of it, could very

  8. It's more correct to say that Baldur's Gate was a flagship IP two decades ago. While using Baldurs Gate 3 as the title was an obvious attempt to cash in on nostalgia, I think the big budget is mostly because WotC wanted a big game along with the new TV series to milk the IP. As such they'd probably throw many at anything they thought would be commercially successful, which is unfortunately the Forgotten Realms.

  9. I am making a guess, but I wonder if a non-Baldur's Gate game would be able to get such a big budget. BG is a flagship IP, so even though Larian is more interested in expanding their D:OS formula, it might have greatly controbuted to funding. I find Larian's storytelling wanting. Their games feel to me more like sandbox or themepark then an interactive story or adventure. Wealth of interactivity and reactivity doesn't mean anything to me, if I am not drawn into fiction. Having choice is unappealing, if I am not concerned about outcome. I really dislike Larian's coopcentric desi

  10. Thanks for the concern, but my calves are okay. Sore muscle here is in my thigh, and it's not swollen, luckily. Probably caused by some wear from biking before going to bed. Thanks, it's already getting better.

  12. If you play with Community Patch, such that FF attacks are classified as weapon attacks, you will trigger extra attacks with swift flurry and heartbeat drumming. However, these extra attacks are primary attacks using the main hand weapon only if you are dual wielding. This is the reason that Powerotti recommends wielding Magran's Favor in your main hand with the axe modal on. The idea is that you would rarely be auto-attacking, but would rather be mainly using the FF attack and also periodically using eternal devotion to renew the fire lash. When swift flurry/heartbeat drumming procs, you'll d

  14. Well, *I* bought a Subaru Crosstrek 2.5L. ...did look at others with similar sizing/shape but just like 23 years ago, Subaru is seemingly only co. making cars like I want. I'm no speed/sportster driver but I cannot go back to the 1.5L type cars or whatever, especially w/an Automatic. And I hate trunks. ...unlike 23 years ago, we just wrote a check. ...I'm going to hate all the computer crap of modern cars but oh well times are what they are. At least this one still has a manual parking brake, ffs. ...most importantly, the sales dude was a tall geeky fellow who saw

  15. [CLASS BUILD] The Man of Mistery – SC Trickster Solo Upscaled PotD Class: Trickster Concept: Fun and Versatile Rogue that mixes spellcasting, ranged and melee attacks to adapt to each situation and tricks his enemies into certain death. Optimized for a No-Rest run. Game Version: RTwP. Works with latest updates and DLCs as of v5.0.00040. I recommend the Full Community Patch and the No Forced Rests mod (otherwise just metagame around them, it’s fully viable but just a bit annoying). PotD Solo Viable: Yes. Of note, I think this is a Solo build that is particularly well

  16. I always found it interesting that there was so much more focus on people wearing masks than on cramped poorly ventilated workplaces people who couldn't work from home got packed into to make the meat grinder go brrrrrr. For example, in California at least, line cooks had the biggest rise in mortality, presumably because of the rona. Perhaps this is because blaming the dip**** who can't put on a piece of cloth for five minutes is easier than looking too closely at labor conditions, which would require more than finger wagging to fix. Anyways soon I will have the microchip and will become

Or good tree news: Eighteen million trees to be planted around Glasgow Ghana planted 5 million trees in a single day to combat deforestation and climate change South Korea to Plant 3 Billion Trees to Help Reach Carbon Neutrality by 2050 Plus three years ago I planted three Bartlett Pear trees in my back yard. They are still too young for fruit but they are all in full bloom now, Very pretty!

  21. Good question, and I don't think I know the answer to it. I was about to write how damning I found Schreier's report - mainly that Bioware had no idea what they were setting out to do. Then again, it is not new, and seems to be common in game development. Mass Effect didn't end up as it was initially envisioned. That said, reading about ME1, it seems that they had too big ideas to realize, not lack of them. I generally am all for sequels - games are better suited for reuse of gameplay loops and gradual improvements, then most other mediums. Narrative nature of most Bioware games, I
