  1. Normally that would be a kvajebajer (you are expected to buy a round of beer because you screwed up) but kvajekage (cake instead of beer) works too I suppose 😝 I took this picture in a local supermarket. any resemblance to real people is purely coincidental
  2. So, 12th of March Greedfall leaves Early Access and Solasta enters Early Access. I;ll have to buy a second PC so I can play both at the same time...
  3. I wanted to ask if an update for the Nintendo Switch version of Outer Worlds would be available for the new Switch 2?
  4. https://www.gog.com/en/game/new_arc_line Not every steampunk game tries to be Arcanum, but it is THE Steampunk CRPG, so some developers seem to be trying. Granted, 9/10 times the UE5 tend to look and run poorly for me, thus, I am just watching the particular title.
  5. Trump's Board of Peace requires nations pay $1 billion for permanent membership Supposedly that payment goes directly into Trump's pocket, not the US government. Can you say emoluments? I knew you could.
  6. and Not opening the door to ICE may no longer stop officers Most immigration arrests have been carried out under administrative warrants, documents issued by immigration authorities that authorize an arrest. Traditionally they do not permit officers to enter private spaces without consent. Only warrants signed by independent judges have carried that authority. there is no basis for dhs creating new authority for law enforcement. claiming it is proper to keep relying on administrative warrants 'cause o' some kinda self granted power ginned up in a dhs memo is something jd vances knows is not Constitutional. nevertheless, am having little doubt feds will continue to enter homes/residences up until scotus tells 'em they cannot do so. how many people were sent out o' the US before scotus said there needs be some kinda due process review? once those people were out o' the US, as a practical and legal matter, courts could not force the US to bring those improperly "deported" persons back to the US. scotus has been using the shadow docket to undermine lower court TROs without providing rationales for overturning district and appellate courts. as far as we can tell, the scotus majority has decided that only scotus has the authority to enjoin the executive branch... although am needing mention the curious lisa cook exception. Since Trump took office last year, the court – on its interim docket – has allowed him to remove members of the National Labor Relations Board, Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the Merit Systems Protection Board. The justices also heard arguments in December in the case of Rebecca Slaughter, a member of the Federal Trade Commission whom Trump fired in March. They are expected to decide by summer whether a federal law that bars him from removing members of the FTC except in cases of “inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office” violates the constitutional separation of powers. explain why a fed appointee is legal different than an ftc board appointee is difficult 'cause scotus has provided no explanation. however, if scotus treats the dhs memo authority same as most other fed actions, it could be a long time before they get around to telling vance that administrative warrants don't fulfill 4th amendment requirements. how many US residents get "deported" before scotus decides to observe that water is wet and ice is cold... although following the Presidential immunity case, am no longer certain what constitutes legal unthinkable for this Court. ... sure this is wrong, but kamala harris woulda' done... something. HA! Good Fun!
  7. It includes DJT-flatterers Argentina, Hungary, and Qatar, but excludes Canada? Definitely a laughable "institution". Most European nations declined to join, which tells you something. Bored of Peace indeed.
  8. His new golf course with its exclusive members?
  9. I play pretty regularly, but I'm a very slow and deliberate player who loves to take my time and goof off within my games. I'm almost 300 hours of playtime in my current first playthrough of BG3 and yet only about 2/3 of the way through Act 2. I'm the kind of roleplayer who can easily spend half an hour trying to figure out which of my party members should get that new ring I just found. 😀
  10. There are rumours, that AMD will go back to AM4 chipsets to “counter” the current environment in PC market. So there might be not everything lost for you, yet.
  11. I'm doing a little bit of BG3 again, because I also started watching some old Critical Role DND streams after the new Mighty Nine show released. :p The game feels a lot easier now that I know what I'm actually doing.
  12. #moderngaming https://www.tomshardware.com/video-games/pc-gaming/buying-all-dlc-for-monster-hunter-wilds-unlocks-twice-the-fps-performance-higher-fps-accidentally-paywalled-by-resource-hogging-background-check-for-paid-content
  13. Started Octopath Traveler. Seems very good. Lots of JRPG tropes, but gameplay is interesting enough, I'm enjoying it. Looks like it has some hard achievements to get, but I'm a sucker for those, so I'll probably end up completing it.
  14. Unavowed. Becuz (pixel) size matters! ❤️ Big props to Dave Gilbert for making a living by telling the stories he wants to tell for twenty years now? This one is also the game where he got a little inspired by Bioware-style companions. Gilbert's never been much of a puzzle guy, but this gives him something toy with. You even get to name your character and can chose an "origin", with the game starting out a little different depending on your choice.
  15. Picked up Avowed from the Steam winter sale. But since I'm still very far from finishing up my inaugural BG3 run, it'll be a while before I get to try it. Also picked up the ToEE remake.
  16. Yeah, I am happy to wait for an upgrade until a game I really want to play comes out. I did love building a new PC and having an insane backlog of quality titles to go through. Dishonored2 being one of them, and it still deserves more playthroughs then the one I gave it. Still waiting for a lot of Sony sequels to come down in price.
  17. I think I went full indie with occasional Japanese AA somewhere after my disappointment with Final Fantasy 15, and I am pretty glad I did that. I bought also few AAA games as well after that period, but only after they got on GOG, which meant pretty much 85%+ discount. Saved me a lot of money to control my impulse buying that way, and I still have backlog worth at least 5 years, if I stopped purchasing stuff altogether.
  18. 640KB should be enough for anyone.
  19. I did buy and install extra two 8GB sticks, adding my total RAM to 32. I am kinda glad I did it now.
  20. Enshrouded: ---I'm 70% enjoying the game, I guess, but it feels similar to No Man's Sky, where as I unlock stuff and try things, I slowly realize 80% of the unlocks I have zero interest in/would never use. But NMS has the advantage of zillions of planets for random fresh starts vs. Enshrouded's static map and questing (even if it's pretty large). I think most (solo) people who get more than 100-200 hrs out of enshrouded are going to be the mega-builders, who want to make 5+ massive, 30hr+ to make each one, bases needing 1000's and 1000's of materials for both walls and deco (I swear 78% of crafting is deco, like spoons, plates, chairs, plants, lighting, etc). ---all I care about is block varieties (metal, wood, colors, styles), altar-placement-limit upgrades, backpack upgrades and storage upgrades. ---the farming is a cozy or mass production effort thing for those who like such. You don't have to do it if you don't want, you'll loot the minimums for main upgrades. ---the cooking/foods, far as I'm concerned, are too many and aren't that useful. Just like NMS. Maybe a few, or on hardest difficulties, but I mean, mostly it's a time-waster. ---weapons are mostly found/loot, armor is occasionally looted but is mostly crafted (but as a mage, don't really need a lot of that) ---the fishing mechanic reminds me a bit of FFXV. Although you can also put it on Easy where you auto reel fish in. >.> ---I could see myself replaying the game a couple times, "rushing" more to certain points and then just building, but that's probably about it (at its current EA stage anyway) Early on I found a pair of boots with 6% faster run. Since there are no mounts, I've kept those on forever. I have yet to see any more upgraded boots - crafted or loot - with that attribute. I'm at around 60-70 hrs probably, still haven't seen all biomes. I do get task-distracted a lot tho. 😜
  21. Playing BG3 in small spurts. Exploring the first map and getting ready to go to the goblin fort. The game hasn't grabbed me so far, but the combat is not tedious in TB.
  22. I've made an account to also voice my support for a Switch 2 update... it would make a potentially huge benefit to playability!
  23. Made an account as well to echo my support! Really hope they release a Switch 2 update. The game deserves it
  24. We really need this update! Love the game, but the graphics need to at least be upscaled
  25. Same, please give us a graphics/FPS update... the game looks soooooooo bad and could look soooooo good
  26. Created an account here just to echo my support for a Switch 2 update!
  27. I'm watching Pluribus. It stands out so much over anything I've watched in years, acting, cinematography, attention to details...it is also totally about ChatGPT AI in general, isn't it.
  28. I find it quite funny that both Germany and Italy said that they would like to join but their constitutions forbid them to join because of the rules of the board, taking account how current constitutions of those countries were written.
  29. They already have a rebuilding plan for Gaza, which is kinda disgusting, imo. They genocided the crap out of the place, bombed everything to rubble and now they are finally able to build their own paradise on top of it.
  30. Sooooo..... I am full of ****. Those reports on RAM shortages, potential discontinuation/limited restocking of 5070 Ti, and potential price hikes of consumer GPUs got to me, and when I saw a very modest discount on a 5070 Ti, I jumped a gun and bought one. I have few weeks to ponder whenever to send it back or not, but am leaning toward keeping it. 5070Ti should keep me going for the next few years, while 3070 is clearly struggling with 1440p when Raytracing is required. Only sad, that I missed discontinuation of AMD's 3D processors for M4 socket. It seems that if I will want to beef up my CPU, I will have to switch the motherboard as well. That's a problem for another day though.
  31. I think it should be Microsoft - Sierra got bought my Activision, Activision got bought by Microsoft. Unless Arcanum IP was owned by more then just Sierra. Do we really want Arcanum sequel though? I don't think original creators are naive enough to attempt a sequel that would do justice to Arcanum's ambitions. As much as I hate to say it, the only dev I could imagine tackling Arcanum2 is Larian, and I would rather have them stay away from the rest of my beloved IPs. 😅
