  1. This horizontal flying jetpack was cool. I'm guessing that's what Starfield needed. Is it just me, or do most games these days not know how to do non-cluttery/non-annoying UI's? All these elements were huuuuge on the 55" TV. This demo wouldn't let me alter UI size scale either - that at least would help.

  5. I was convinced this wasn't it, but I looked at the list of them on the wiki, and tested the Luminous Bathhouse Quest. In that case, I kept my injury, but lost the food buff. It's possible I just happened to hit a handful of these without realizing it. I'll keep testing.

  6. Live Oral Argument Audio (supremecourt.gov) am gonna go out on a limb and suggest @Malcadorwould not have enjoyed law school. the Justices, even the ones who were not professors before joining the bench, all came out o' a law school tradition which has changed little in a couple hundred years. prof asks questions. student provides answers. SCOTUS which only addresses the questions o' law, is more like law school than any other court in the US. 'course all the Justices is unique. RBG were notorious for her acerbic questions.... makes alito look positive pleasant by comparison. clarence thomas, for years, never asked any questions. literal... and not how kids use "literal" nowadays. point is there is gonna be fails when generalizing. regardless, all the Justices is arrogant and none o' them were elected. would be shocking if a few didn't come across as unpleasant. HA! Good Fun!

  7. Yeah I'm looking forward to trying out some of the user created modules next. I've read in places that some of those modules are really very good.

  8. https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/354 Are you running this mod just to be sure? I usually do no rest runs and I have never seen my resting bonuses clear unless I intentionally rest.

  9. Venom is interesting, as his story obviously ties in Peter as well and overall works in creating a likeable npc who isn't all bad but has issues. The others you didn't miss anything storywise. Deadpool and Storm were forced into it. Neither really has anything to offer in their discussions either - you already have Captain America and Wolverine to talk to for the experienced old people, you don't need to rechew it with Storm. Morbius works well for the DLC story arc and makes absolute sense there. So for me the DLC was a 50/50 success with the additions. It doesn't help that I didn't like Deadpool's mechanics either and by the time Storm was added, was too indifferent to care about her mechanic, which on paper isn't bad. I could have done with a smaller roster as well. I felt Wolverine was just random fanservice. The avengers kinda work to create this Avengers vs Midnight Suns dynamic, but overall for me they diluted the midnight theme. I would have liked the game to have been more bold and not just throw everyone in who they hoped would get one more fanboy to play the game.

  10. I’ll check regular food and try without mods and report back. I know it’s not forced rest, though; because my injury remains.

  14. My current run is with a Corpse Eater and his joyful companions. I think I have seen food buff cleared unexpectedly, but I have no idea if it's related to a forced rest because I have never been paying too much attention to that. All food buffs cleared, not just Kith Food. I'm pretty sure I have seen it with Inn bonus too (rested at Luminous Bath before the Quest... After a while there was only Adra Glow bonus, but not the rest one). I didn't care cause I love RP my party resting and having a good meal. Now for related BPM changes : all food was set to stacking but how could this be related? Also inn bonuses were already stacking and weren't modified by BPM so it can't explain why they went away too. Possible theory : this is a vanilla bug, but the reason no one every spotted it was because once a food bonus was transformed into a stacking passive, it somehow becomes immune to the bug. Have you ever noted that inn bonus mysteriously go away in Vanilla game ?

  15. Copycat, demo: ----well, it's sorta cute. Controls are pretty clunky, camera view control is pretty clunky. I do like the cats 1st furperson purspective, like staring at legs from under a shelf. It's no Stray, but maybe. Pacific Drive, demo: ---visually looks decent if you can keep certain settings High/Ultra. Driving the car is fine/didn't feel too hinky etc. ---demanding game performance wise. Shadows and lighting is visually/atmospherically important, so one may not want to turn such down a lot, and middling/older PC's may find themselves playing it at 30fps. If you're the type who wants 85+fps at all times/higher resolutions, likely to be disappointed. YMMV. ---not a very intuitive tutorial phase re: what to do next and the UI in general is a little annoying but I can see getting used to it enough. ---THERE IS NO AUTOSAVE. Save triggers are far between and in most "zones" it will not save until you've finished a bunch of tasks or something. It's done this way on purpose. I get it, gameplay tension design and save-scum prevention. Some may enjoy it. For myself, I like being able to stop and go to bed vs. feeling forced to continue because I haven't figured out/done what will trigger a save to happen. Still, for the type of gameloop, it might be marginally tolerable if you love everything else. Undecided.

  16. Yes, I've finished most of that campaign now. It's pretty decent, about on a par with the other Solasta campaigns. I'm not sure how much I want to finished the final slog though. The best part is the new add-on tilesets and other features that are sure to start showing up in user modules. It might even be possible to build an Icewind Dale-like campaign now.

  20. Dangerous Men (2005) - This film began filming in 1979 and was not completed until 26 years later. It's a revenge tale of a woman, Mina, who goes on a murderous rampage after her fiance is murdered by a biker. The brother of the now deceased fiance is a police officer who is looking for Mina and the leader of the biker gang. This movie is a Frankenstein's monster of stitched together scenes and questionable choices. It begins with the music. The main theme is a funk track that sound like something straight out of ToeJam & Earl. It's played multiple times throughout the movie and is never appropriate for any scene that it's in. In fact, this movie is chock-full of bizarrely inappropriate music. There are so many utterly bizarre scenes. The best way to exemplify this is with the ending of the movie:

  21. I watched the entire 12 hours on a side monitor over a few days, it was kind of enjoyable, but I'm the kind of nerd that noticed Rand and Mat entering Tar Valon from the wrong direction, so. It's a shame there are a few editing errors where it hitches up and repeats a few seconds where he spliced the episodes, but I can live with it. Might give it a second watch for good measure
