I beat sea of stars. It was good. I feel like 10/10s are so freely given with games. I'd give it a 7/10 maybe 8/10 if I was generous. Combat is good. A little easy though. I kind of suck at RPGs and I only died 3 times. Graphics and running around the environments was the best part. One of the prettiest pixel art games I can think of. The tools you unlock make traversing fun. Bunch of simple puzzles. only one I had to look up, because it had to do with colors and I'm colorblind... (at least I think it had to do with colors because I had no idea what to do... and the symbols had colors.) Fairly short, for a JRPG style game. Which is fine because the story was the worst part. It wasn't bad, there were some moments that made me laugh(ol). Just that the main narrative was a little bland. Special main characters save the world from an unbeatable foe. Not awful, just mostly forgettable.4 points

Good news! Based on leaked Microsoft doc Dishonored3 might be a thing. Though after Deathloop and Redfall back to back, I am remaining cautious. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/dishonored-3-plus-fallout-3-and-elder-scrolls-4-oblivion-remasters-appear-on-leaked-microsoft-doc edit. The same doc mentions XBOX interest in acquiring Nintendo RPS editorial also isn't very optimistic, criticising how risk averse the lineup is - focusing on remasters and sequels to sure bet titles. Also this little gem at the end: XBOX willingness to dismiss BG3 doesn't inspire me confidence in them as caretakers of RPG studios that they have acquired. Would like to see the actual email - can't find the source of the quote.3 points

I just completed FO1 after about 40 hours or so. As I mentioned earlier it was an excellent CRPG experience that includes open world and a great sandbox overall experience no map quest hand holding on the area maps, you need to explore and ask people questions to complete quests. Like the Deathclaw quest in the Hub deep character customization and this allows you to really create different characters and that can influence your journey great lore and interesting quests unique towns and each one with there own characteristics I dont recall any bugs with Fixt but I might not have known because this is the first time I played FO1 but everything seemed to be fine I ended up getting a Plasma Rifle at Mariposa which made me deadly in combat and I enjoyed how the game provides so many different weapons. I really battled with the final Master fight, I was killed about 7 times before I adopted a winning strategy. I buffed up on drugs and then aimed for his eyes and fortunately scored critical hits and he died after about 5 rounds, I used super stimpacks and ignored the other enemies attacking I didn't particularly enjoy having to run out the Cathedral and Mariposa knowing there was 300 seconds but it was fun to get out the buildings and survive Now Im going to play FO2, Im really in the Fallout mood2 points

No Man's Sky - well I'm up to 3.5 hours now. I got the ship repaired - slowly, with a lot of exploring/messing around inbetween the brief mission prompts - and it's telling me to fly it, but I think I'm going to continue messing around on what I assume is the random starter planet. Gathering materials until I can't carry anymore, and I still have to ID a couple animals for the planet I think. That part I like a lot at least - the wandering/identifying/mining, occasionally finding lost container loot or buildings - it suits my chill vibe brain. But I know I have to get off the rock at some point to open gameplay up. Later, later, I'm busy. I like that you can customize difficulty settings beyond the 3 presets - so I have a mixture of some easy and some Normal settings. I want a first-try that's casual and pretty low stress but not entirely devoid of surprises. Anyway, at least the planet exploration seems to suit me.2 points

TESIII: Morrowind. Became a clan-friend of an Ashlander clan, the chosen of Azura (sort of?), and most importantly found several pieces of Daedric armour that I could not wear effectively and a merchant with 10,000 gold per day, successfully solving any financial issues for some time. Also found an ebony short sword and several pieces (not a set) of glass armour and became the highest-ranked Blade agent in Morrowind. The only issues so far are occasionally falling through the floors in Vivec, the inability to do main quests out of order (was visiting the Hlaalu councillor several times without the ability to ask him to make me the Hortator), and that Caius Cosades did not tell me how to get to Tel Fyr and I could not ask anyone (so had to look up online). Also, I probably should have started as an Argonian. Though, I do like the story so far.2 points

You learned your lesson from BG well.1 point

Damn, you kind of undersold it on the weird aspect. Fun movie overall, if a little slow at times. Some scenes got drawn out a little bit too much for my taste. Fun fact, the name vampire originates from the Serbian word vampir which is how we call them.1 point

As active PL bonus, acute and his +1PL dont stack with other active bonuses, like the potion (+2) or the food (+1 ). But acute from the ring stack with the potion or the food, and also the Stone of Power (+1). So without Trinkets or the Weyc Wand , you can reach +7PL with your setup (and the stone of power), +8PL for the Ancient side of your build! Of course for most of the fight with a party, you dont really need these extra PL, but for nasty enemies that can make a little difference!1 point

There are some recommended Morag Tong mods if you like that faction https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42120?tab=description https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/470411 point

No Man's Sky - "last played - two years ago" - "Playtime - 16 minutes." Don't even recall if I had any reason for such a short trial phase. ---an hour of install and feature fiddling later--- Oh yeah, I remember now. It uses Vulkan I guess, which seemingly means many 3rd party screenshot programs don't work. At least mine doesn't. Steam Overlay ss feature supposedly does, but I don't use/refuse to use that. Although weirdly, I can record video of the game w/my program and grab pic frames that way but more PITA. I have no idea why video recording works but a screenshot does not. Different hooks? And now I also remember that the start/tutorial stuff kinda bored/annoyed me with all the radiation and other survival hazards, starting menus/info navigation that felt a bit over-load-y. eg, I was too lazy to learn to play. So that plus no screenshots, plus I'm never sure if I really like outer-space settings - and I probably just never turned it back on. I'll give it a fair shake this time.1 point

That reminds me of the time I got to shotgun one of my driver friends in his Volvo FH16 750 dual clutch edition, granted he only had 33 tonnes loaded, but that truck went smoother up an 11% incline than my car does, I noticed the shift more from the change in sound than anything else, amazing stuff1 point

Those issues (hopefully) won't apply in my case since I won't be rawdogging it like you, rather I'll be playing via OpenMW 0.48.1 point

There was an Argonian Morag Tong NPC and the wiki does not list being a Dunmer as a requirement, so should be fine. Edit. Just in case, there are 2 technical issues - the settings were resetting (making Morrowind.ini read-only solved it) and the window outline appearing on start or focus change (switching resolutions helps).1 point

I've always been a fan of Volvos. I don't get to drive one, but I do get to drive a Mack Anthem, which is the next best thing from what's available here in the states IMHO. One feature that I really like on Macks is that they have a 2-stage accelerator pedal where if you push the pedal down further past the first "stop" it will temporarily drop you down a gear and change to more aggressive shift points on the automatic transmission. That's super handy for pulling hills when you are loaded heavy and more than makes up for the fact that Macks have the controls for going into manual mode and manually switching gears on the center console rather than the steering column, given that 95% of the time I would want to manually switch gears would be to drop it down a gear earlier than it would on its own to help pull a hill.1 point

Worked, been back for a couple of weeks now but I still have alot of pain in my neck, so I've taken to sacrificing my knees for my neck to continue getting better by driving our small tug instead of bodycarrier at work. It's seat turns around 180 degrees and you can sit and reverse trailers while facing them, real handy when you don't want to hang out the window and look where you're going. It's a bit of a faff though and feels real weird, so I just used the mirrors instead and everyone was shocked how well I managed it. That hurt a bit, not gonna lie. Only reason why I don't use mirrors while driving a bodycarrier is that it has some POS mercedes inline-4 that shakes the tractor so badly that you can't see where you're going, making it extremely unsafe to use them. I've been pushing for us to get Volvo inline-6s (Balanced and smooth running) same as the tug has on our soon to be delivered new tractors, another plus is that the volvo engine has never really let us down except a faulty radiator hose, while the Mercedes engines breaks down atleast once a month. Savings and increased useability Also told them to mount side window wipers, because c'mon, we really need that to see out the sides.1 point

Much of that is already in the avocado butter. Beyond the obvious avocado and butter I added lime juice, garlic (2 cloves to 1 avocado so it's quite garlic-y just how I like it), salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, turmeric, and dill weed.1 point

I've eaten durian, biggest nothingburger of a controversial foodstuff ever so far as I'm concerned*. The texture is reminiscent of cold snot so not exactly the best but otherwise it was... ok. Would eat again, wouldn't go out of my way for it and very far from the most disturbing thing I ate in Bali (which was a plate of frogs legs. Not like the french ones which are big, but about a thousand tiny little frogs they'd obviously netted out of a paddy field. Tasted excellent, but far too many and they looked extraordinarily disturbing all tangled up in a big pile) *the locals absolutely loved the stuff though, and most of the tourists hated it.1 point

couldn't help but think what it would be if not french. korean: there would be extreme bullying and a revenge plot. japanese anime: would have no real plot but there would be at least one scene at the beach, and possible one at an onsen. the school cultural festival would figure prominent and one character would likely have an inexplicable pet 'bout which nobody would comment. german: the important aspect would be it would be black and white. there would also be a whole lotta symbolism fans o' the film would pretend to appreciate. polish: same as german but a whole lot darker. english: distilled, the movie would be ninety minutes o' uncomfortable shame and embarrassment... and that would be the comedy take on the subject matter. american: actors (likely pro models) too old to be high schoolers do their best to pretend being average american teens navigating cliques/heart ache/drugs/teen angst/etc. HA! Good Fun!1 point

A Starfield remake, of sorts, has been created in 48 hours, incorporating seamless travel between planets, something missing from the actual Bethesda RPG.1 point

I envy people who still have access to a good butcher in their vicinity. We used to have an award winning butcher close by, but he closed up shop a while ago. As did our small bakery, which survived by offering excellent products and great service. They had a breakfast subscription service, delivering your choice of freshly baked products (and milk, if you so chose) to your doorstep, somewhere between 4 and 5am. Sure, it was more expensive than going to the supermarket, but it was also much better and much more convenient. Led to much less wasted food too, as you could select the products you wanted for your daily delivery in just the quantities you'd usually need. The folks who ran the bakery retired, none of their children wanted to pick up the trade - no surprise there, not much material gain for very hard work - and they found no one else as successor either.1 point

Sintee builds are still good for potd party runs. I used them back in the day... I'm unaware of like a meta "how to make builds" guide. That would be an interesting project but personally I'm too consumed by BG3 at the moment. Really it is kind of hard to mess up NPC builds unless you're trying like a trial of iron run or something. Aloth for example is good as a wizard, battlemage, or spellblade. They just fulfill different party roles. And speaking of party roles having them covered is more important than optimizing individual characters. Like you want at least 1 tank, 1+ healer/support, usually an offensive caster, and a couple DPS. Sometimes this adds to like 7 roles but multiclassing allows you to cover multiple roles with one character. Your party seems fine as far as covering roles. Much easier to mess up the main character like if you pick a weird multiclass and don't know how to make it work. But there are many good build guides on this forum for main characters. And heralds are always good.1 point

After BG3 scraching an RPG itch, I finally gathered courage and installed Pathfinder:WotR. I created character, went through intro with some community play flavour to it "It is I, protector of this fair city, and also a dragon!". My enthusiasm evaporated as soon as I gained control over characters. Why is it, that recent RPGs can't be asked to design a UI? Both Pathfinder and Baldur's Gate3 are awful in that regard. You get a character, and all you get is a pile of icon and it is up to you to make sense of it. I can manage it for one character, but I already got 4 party members with classes I am unfamiliar with and I have to stop, read up and play a bit of "design your UI" before venturing forth.0 points

Switched from copper to fiber for phone 5 months back. Now getting what sounds like packet loss, called ISP tech and it seems like my router is the problem. Disconnected everything except the ER-X, still got noise. Disconnect that and noise goes. Switched to a spare ER-X and copied config, still getting it. I guess I use PPPoE in the router, but surprised that would cause VoIP issues 5 months after I set it up. Pain in the neck0 points

1. Buy helmet online from specialty outlet. 2. Receive helmet, it's the wrong size. 3. Online store says return it with original invoice that works as proof of purchase. 4. Invoice that came with the helmet is for a completely different person and order. 5. Their only method of contact is through social media. 6. I don't have any social media. well babies and gentlemen, it appears i have been scammed0 points
