I know somebody who was using an ancient Core 2 Duo with a GTX 970 up until just a couple of years ago... The system, I understand, had some performance inconsistencies.2 points

In the vast majority of games where stealth is an option I try to ghost the game as much as possible, but in Hogwarts Legacy I like to go in guns wand blazing. Freezing an enemy then hitting them with diffindo does so much damage. I'm sad I haven't gotten any unforgivable curses yet.1 point

Been playing another game quite a bit recently, much to my surprise after my experience with it not that many months ago... Totally not a dinky bar... Cloud city! Somewhere else... Hoth? Game's still a mess, but I've actually been able to get things done, and well, it sure is pretty More eyecandy (and that's enough spamming for the day )1 point

Somewhere around the time the forum went crazy I completed my second Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough. Some of the better shots from throughout that campaign that I don't think I've shared yet. Kerry quest spoilers I was tempted to skip it, but ended up doing that mission anyway, because completionism is a disease... If you know, you know... Hangin' with the homies I think taking a screenshot at this point is mandatory... And so it ends...1 point

@Keyrockhttps://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/398?tab=description ..haven't tried this one either, but there it is. Since the VA is nothing head-turning for me, I just turned dialogue volume way down (since I use subtitles anyway) and I've gotten almost used to it by now, lol. I mean, honestly, I'd need a mod for almost every throwaway line in the game at this point. Even the main character. And the clothing shopkeeper. And ...1 point

It is finished. I am actually dangerously close to platinuing the game. I miss All arnaments and all talismans achievements, so I might see how much I am missing, and if I can hunt the remaining ones in my current save. More annoyingly I didn't get the achievement for beating Morgott.... I might leave it, if I feel like doing another playthrough (he culminates what I would consider the good content of Elden Ring, so going that far one day might be a possibility) or I might see if I can hunt down a pre-Margott save somewhere for a quick completion. Great game, but darn, the final areas and bosses really sour the experience. If the game would end upon reaching the Erdtree, and got some extra polish instead, I think it would be better off.1 point

I had a bout of flu last week, and then it lingered with enough of the cold and sniffles that I spent all week working from home rather than spreading the remnant of it around the office. Added fun with dad starting off a fresh round of chemo this week, so trying to both keep my distance from him while providing aid as needed. On other matters, finally having some weather that's actually warm enough to paint in, and watching the humidity drop below 85%, so took advantage of that WFH to dart outside every now and again and get a little priming and such done to the Mando costume stuff. 48 days till SW Celebration, and technically I'll probably need it ready 3 weeks in advance of that for MandoMerc app process - and that's if everything clears first time around. Just to fill the thread with pictures now... Techniques for the survival knife look: Playing around with the boot knife: Pondering on just exactly I want to do with the DT-10 Heavy Blaster now the matte black layer is down: And contemplating all the fine sanding I've still got to do....1 point

I used the vanilla version. My mod also did a pull-effect - I didn't really use it myself, it was more like a little practice session. I think @Noqnor @Elric Galaddid a version where the additional hits meet the description properly (3). I think with the vanilla version 2 additional target can get hit, not only 1 - despite the description saying 3. One has to pay attention to the way wahai poraga delivers its attacks: it seems to do it counterclockwise. So if you face two or three enemies I would attack the last one in the row from a "counterclockwise perspective" if you know what I mean. Else the skeletons might not get attacked and the benefits of killing them quickly might not occur. Then, if you want to use Soul Annihilation I would target the first enemy in the row so that raw dmg gets applied to all of them and nothing is "waisted" on skeletons. The upside of the Chanter/Soulwhip is that it works at early levels (as soon as you get the weapon). Barbarian with Blood Thirst is stronger imo (esp. in combination with Interrupting Blows), but Bloods Thirst is late game material for a MC Barb unfortunately.1 point

if is the crimson banner, then am advising saving the 300k, or whatever ridiculous amount is required for purchase. with the banner equipped, crits by and against you is confirmed. alternative: the treasure islands vendor sells +100 potions of bless weapon. unfortunate, the drezen cleric only sells ten o' the scrolls. seelah also has access to bless weapon, but unless you took abundant casting, you won't have many casts per day. one reason am always making lann a divine hunter is not only 'cause he gets the celestial velociraptor murder machine with unlimited smites, but 'cause o' domains. iomedae domains is not amongst our must haves, but am thinking glory, particular for lann is underrated and we likely add one additional domain via the impossible domain mythic. in any event, as a lann divine hunter is a spontaneous caster, his domain spells is added to his pool o' spells as 'posed to needing use a domain slot as does a cleric. functional results in a whole lotta casts o' bless weapon per day. in any event, am not a fan o' the crimson banner as is as likely to result in pain for the user... and is sooper expensive. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Hey @Kvellen, I am Gwynrick. I had to create a second account when I could not remember which e-mail the main account was registered to. It's very unfortunate to hear that you have no plans to release the mod. But at the same time, I understand that this is a very time-consuming and labor-intensive task. It would be great to see a version of the mod where Durance not only use his voice set for commenting basic actions (attack, etc.), because his banter with Aloth, Eder and Pallegina while traveling is very cool and atmospheric - but it's just wishlist. The personal quest of Durance and other dialogues (available when use item from inventory) are not such an important thing, as it seems to me. I will be glad if you release the "Sidekick Durance" mod in any form.1 point

I agree. I've written about this before, separating appearance and stats should be the standard in every 3rd person view game. Cyberpunk 2077 has this exact same system, and that's a 1st person view game. For all the (deserved) criticism that CDPR got for Cyberpunk, I have to praise them for implementing separation of appearance and stats in a game where 98% of the time you don't even see your character model. Honestly, going forward, any AAA or AA studio that makes a 3rd person view game that doesn't separate appearance and stats should be ashamed. I can give tiny indie teams working on a shoestring budget a pass, but any sizeable studio filled with experienced programmers and designers worth their salt should be able to implement separate appearance and stat clothing slots quickly and easily.1 point

I'll see your new threads and raise you... ...also found a leather version of a wizard hat somewhere. I like the "transmog" concept in this game. Tiny gear inventory but everything you buy/pickup for even an instant becomes a skin you can apply to anything you actually wear. Or make the gear slot invisible. So I just sell EVERYTHING but what current best-stat I'm wearing. I've been occasonally buying stuff I like just for the skin, then immediately sell it again.1 point

You're just intimidated by my sheer presence. You're probably from one of those other 3 [mutters under breath]lesser[/mutters under breath] houses. It's okay, not everyone has the drive and ambition to be House Slytherin. Can pet kitty, confirmed.1 point

Created my witch: No matter what your character is going to sound British so the look I went for was an offspring of a British man and Thai woman, let's say he was a soldier and was stationed in Thailand. White hair doesn't really fit the mold, but I just think white hair looks awesome, especially with a darker skin tone. As an aside, hair looks really good in this game. Even now, in 2023, there are still many games where up close the hair looks pretty bad and/or weirdly plastered on the head. It looks quite natural in this game. I probably should have turned the frame rate display off for the pictures. Oops. Edit: Got my sweet Slytherin robe:1 point

Ok, got my first cheap cloth wizard hat out of some chest. Also, ooo, pretty.1 point

Note: the chr. creation felt generic vs. an ability to make a unique looking chr, but at least the creation screen wasn't a total lie vs. in-game result. This is the sorting hat thing, not an outfit, but I am looking forward to maybe finding silly wearables...1 point

ME3 is DA:I reskin with moar fun combat, blander companions and equally inane story. Even some monsters had the same behavior pattern as DA:I's titanium-skinned lootless bears that would home in onto you from across the opposite corner of the map, stealth or not. What I remember the most from DA:I was a bug that allowed some fighter subclass be invincible and do, like 300x than supposed to be damage at the same time when doing a roll , so my dragon strat was to roll on'em to death. Also how crafting system allowed for splendiferously glorious garb combining yellow tartan and blue paisley. Good times. These memories sometimes make me nostalgic enough to think of replaying, but then I remember the rest of the game and yeah, nah.1 point

Just to me up to date for Dragon Age4, I playthrough through of Dragon Age: Inquisition - did main campaign with minimal amount of open world, and completely it's three DLCs. What an absolute ****show. Someone here told me a way back that the game gets better after Hinterlands. That's really strange to me, as nothing really changes, beside a change in scenery, story missions getting worse and worse, and swaping small keep, into large, overly spread out and frustrating to navigate keep. I didn't like the main campaign. The opening hours were junky, but I liked set up for an inquisition, Demonic threat seemed interested and main villain peaked my interest (never played DLCs for DA2, so he was new to me). In true Dragon Age fashion, Inquisition has interesting world and teases interesting directions but chooses to ignore every interesting thread it could pull and went for a boring, generic story, with a bland baddy who.... what was he trying to do? Now when I think of it, I don't think I even know. Demons are just another darkspawns, and in spite of hinting at Inquisition's tricky political situation the player never gets engaged with it. Easily the most interesting mission was in the WInter Palance, but the potential of the concept was killed by tying it back to Coryphius, rather than being an intrigue of its own. Combat was tedius, main missions undercooked, open world bland and repetitive, it was nice to see returning faces but their inclusion brought nothing of value beside a shot of nostalgia. I thought companions were decent, though having to chase them around the keep, and getting teleported around with every cutscene really soured the experience for me. Stories written for the war table were more interesting than anything in the actual game. I wish I had one of my advisors' job. DLCs were fine. Open world area had at least context to it. Deep Roads dive I could do without, but what can one do with that terrible combat. Trasspaser is easily best part of the title, but keeping the only really compelling character in the game as a teaser for the sequel just feels hurtful after so many hours of absolute ****e. If all of the game was Trasspaser I would be much happier. I need to check Andromeda and Anthem at some point, as I can't just imagine things getting worse that this.1 point

Hey ya'll! A bunch of issues including Firefox not working and special characters causing posts to get error messages should be fixed as of yesterday. We have 1 more fix incoming after some testing today that should also help with the cookies causing posts to get eaten. I'm hoping we can get that out tomorrow and have everything resolved by that point. Please keep me appraised if you continue to run into any issues so we can get them fixed up for you Thanks as always!1 point

...Deek is an argument for why some NPC's shouldn't be given idle lines. He stands in your "personal rooms" 100% because you have to talk to him if you want to change the room's mood lighting, and he spouts a few things depending what you're doing the most of. If you're in there for a minute, no biggie. If you're in there for an hour.... ...at least I finally got my Beast taming/collecting ability. Time to collect more.0 points
