ok, I know its old and childish, but I laugh way to hard to not share it5 points

@Noqn Yeah, looks decent enough. Maybe: "Distilled from the dissolved brains of Vithrack Luminaries and infused with the relentless essence of an Adra Animat, this concoction fills the user with marvellous insights and inexhaustible perseverance." ?4 points

(Cost should be 1000g, dunno what's causing that...) The icons are absolutely gorgeous. Maybe the 100x100 is slightly oversized for the crafting menu, but so are most big vanilla potions, and it looks cool anyway. I think it's perfect. Awesome, thanks again! Ah right, does anyone have suggestions for the description or should we roll with the auto-generated one?4 points

is ok not to be sure. given the lack o' specific evidence o' overt bigotry presented by the opinion piece, am thinking is ok to question whether webb were good or bad or the kinda banal mix o' both which is all too common in 2021 and no less true in the 60s and 70s. not have a good answer is reasonable. our problem is the folks who reflexive see consideration o' the question as offensive. the suggestion o' a name change o' a bridge, park or satellite should not result in some kinda partisan divide over the appropriateness o' cancel culture as a matter o' principle. case-by-case. if after due consideration enough people is convinced that webb doesn't deserve to have a satellite or even a toaster oven bear his name, then am ok with such a decision just so long as is well-considered and reasonable. if folks choose not to change name after similar consideration, well then, that is how democracy works, no? the author o' the opinion piece may not be happy 'bout the lack o' a name change, but people should have an opportunity to choose. HA! Good Fun! ps am also believing one needs be conscious o' just how often in history the selective use o' science has been used to justify bigotry. minorities has frequent been put in the unenviable position o' fighting science... naked bigotry in the guise o' science.4 points

Or maybe a more simple solution would be to only apply Strand of Favor/Cabalist's Gambeson/Ooblit bonus while in combat. It sounds like a general interest change, quite close from a bugfix/glitch purge, so I think @MaxQuest and @Phenomenumcould be interested to include it in CP.4 points

Hi everyone, After abandoning it for some months I wanted to celebrate I recently came back and managed to solo defeat Belranga, with all Magran Fires on except Eothas & Wael (luckily she got Hardened & her spiderlings got Prowling). Such a challenge and awesome experience! My character is a Troubadour/Bloodmage. Normally Animated Weapons carry the fight with their dmg while I CC the enemies and the skeletons soak the damage, but Belranga's armor is too high and it eventually does too much AOE dmg too fast. I had to try so many approaches which I wanted to share, it made it so fun: My initial approach was to try to 1st destroy all the burrows (to hopefully keep Belranga offense-defense in a sweet spot), and in fact I managed to do so once, but she had already 100+ spiderling deaths and 20+ screams (concentration layers) so she was an unstoppable machine gun. She decided to chew me up twice (which I could have countered with the skellies chant but I forgot) and then have a final bite off Vela. Then I thought I could confuse her so that when she got to super low defenses & high accuracy she would 100% paralise herself when she used her ranged AOE attack on me. But she often switched to melee so nope, too difficult. I also thought I could petrify her with Gaze Of The Adragan, but even when she got to super low defenses it was paralising her for <5s so not worth it. Needless to say I was always buffing myself to the moon with WoD, Antidote, Arcane Veil, Llengrath's Safeguard, Displaced Image, Eldritch Aim, Merciless Graze, DAoM, Their Companion Braved the Horde Alone ... but at this point I realised I could further benefit from Potion of Perfect Aim (for Belranga high defenses) and Compassionate Soul Essence (for Belranga crits - it also seemed to help with blood sacrifice?). The shield modals The Wall & Block were also helping me hold against super-saian Belranga. And another super key realisation was Scordeo's Edge, perma giving me -60% recovery time (I opted for using the beginning of the battle to charge it up by shooting the burrows). ** So my quick slot items were: 5x Healing Potions, 1x Antidote, 1x Potion Perfect Aim, 1x Compassionate Soul Essence, Iron-Clasped Grimoire (no room for Withdraw Scrolls or Arkemyr's Illuminating Discoveries) ** My gear was: Horns of The Bleak Mother, Three Trolls Stitched (refused to use Shroud Of Phantasm), Bone Setter's Torc, Ninagauth's Teachings, Fleshmender (love it), Gauntlets of Accuracy, Voidward Ring, Ring Of Greater Renegeration, Boots Of The Stone, Physicker's Belt & Prissy ** And my 4 weapons sets were: (1) Scordeo's Edge + Shasha Scimitar -> (2) Griffin's Blade + Cadhu Scalth -> (3) Griffin's Blade + Lethandria's Devotion -> (4) Bardatto's Luxury + Phalanx (as a super-regen last resort if I ran out of potions) This still didn't work so I went for my last option which turned out to be the successful approach: removing concentration layers from her from the beginning to keep it manageable so that I could perma interrupt / prone her at the end. I did this by non-stop using Knock Down (from the Animated Weapon), Slicken, Minoletta Concussive Missiles (TOP) and CRUCIALLY Concelhaut's Crushing Doom (MVP). Even though she had +100% speed meaning she almost ignored interrupts, the prones from the several Crushing Doom casts pinned her to the floor. At some point where she was Near Death I was so nervous I was only spamming the Blood Sacrifice button and casting this lvl7 spell like crazy, nothing else xD (I could have use Death Ring I suppose but I forgot) Yeaaaah! Can't wait for the remaining megabosses. Love it!3 points

The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones - Anthony, Act 3 Scene ii, Julius Ceasar I do sometimes wonder what the tipping point between whether a historical figure was "good" or "bad" is. In the case of Mr. Webb of NASA, contextually, is it important to note that the DSM-II had Homosexuality as a mental illness until 1973, and WHO had it classified as a disease until 1990? Or not? Was he an egregious bigot even for his time, or was he someone who, using the 'scientific' information he had at hand believed that the LGBTQ+ community was a security risk due to what the psychological community was telling him was a mental illness? I'm not sure what the answer is, to be honest.3 points

I aced my ECG exam and I nailed my OSCE, which is great because it's graded, but even better is that my preceptor has started letting me do assessments and treatment. She asks me what I did, but then signs off on it. Basically, at one point, I'd written myself off. Now, I feel as if I've justified my life between my work as an RN (which I still practice) and in my upcoming role as a provider.3 points

Although yes, technically that's a doll I believe, but still, one of those weirdly cute things which is suitable for this thread.2 points

Great ! It looks awesome ! @Noqn, I think you should have all the inputs you need, but don't hesitate if you have questions or you disagree about something. I think the best would be that you create your own mod on Nexus, then I will include the files in the next version of BPM, as we did for bashing shields.2 points

And bringing 2 ciphers would be even better The effect is at max 20% additional regen over a continuous application of brilliant for a single character. The non-stacking does not look too much necessary. The point is to make the cipher not stricly necessary for party building (especially because your healer has finite ressources, or your wizard relies on a very specific spell). The cipher is still incredible support. Cipher is an infinite ressource class, so it is meant to be top tier for "infinite duration fights" (I'm looking at you, Dorudugan). Note that "self-infinite ressource classes" such as Tactician or Bloodmage also contributes to the party sustainability for such fights, but they can't prevent others from being dead weights. Note that the balancing might cause reasonable power creeping. But there are mods to rise the difficulty anyway, and getting rid of major cheeses also make the game more difficult.2 points

Been awhile since I posted here... But I've still been doing these (if anyone here is ever watching?) - I just released Episode 64 - only one more episode to go - 65 is the final episode. Might as well post the play list that gets you at the start - rather than update each of the episode links here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Wr4-u9-zw0&list=PLbRG7dzFI-u3EJd0usasgDrrFO3mZ1lOZ&ab_channel=NeverendingNights2 points

You can count to 60 pretty easily on your hands. I don't know if you saw my counting to 12 on one hand thing but you can then use the other hand to tick off how many times you've counted to 12. Even if just counting the fingers on the second hand instead of joints, which is the easiest way, you get 60.2 points

Real numeric systems exclude zero though. Zero is not a number, it is in fact the lack of a number- or even a numeric singularity. For how does one define darkness, except as an absence of light? At very best it functions as a place holder, but that is not true zero, as illustrated by all place holder 'zeroes' being expressed differently when using a different base system. Think about it a second, it not actually being a number explains why you cannot divide by zero and the numeric singularity explains why if you multiply anything by zero you get zero- it eats the real numbers, the whole numbers, the rational and irrational and turns them all into itself or some undefined non value. Zero is numeric cancer, numeric prions, a numeric virus; it is not some saviour nor is it simply a mathematical concept, it's the cuckoo in the nest. To show my utter loathing I'd end with ceterum censeo nullum esse delendam, except it already has been. :philosoraptor:2 points

Personally I use it similarly to the foundations when I'm making a base on uneven terrain, especially if the game won't let me place foundation for some reason. It's also needed to make tall staircases.1 point

That meme looked appropriate for this thread. Funny that they leave Chibiusa alone all the time. It happened multiple times and they already know how dangerous that is. In a way she may be more responsible than any of the other characters. Next episode will introduce Sailor Pluto.1 point

And that is the crux of the dispute. Null Zero is the lack of a number, the complete reverse of a really real number- it's the mathematical equivalent of using 'literal' for something figurative and thus a literature infringement. Whoever included it in 'Real' numbers was clearly some sort of liberal arts major rather than a proper mathematician, had no doubt been on the turps and was possibly age addled too. It isn't included in Integers or Whole numbers for good reason, it should not be included in 'Real' either. A proper numerical system would be Ø or similar used for the unique entity made from the equation a-a=x with 0 being used as a placeholder for base increments. Null zero does not behave like a normal number because it is not a number but a prisoner of definitions, it should be excluded to properly address its unique qualities. This is a hill I'm prepared to die on.1 point

I imagine controls like that may only become available once the game is complete and probably not made by the company but by people who make MODs. I could be wrong though. For those who enjoy playing this game but fear it for whatever reason, I hope the company can continue making adjustments and removing/limiting those fears.1 point

Drought as a reason for shortages and price hikes for microchips? Reminds me of the price fixing shenanigans with RAM a few years back where all the producers had weird 'problems' simultaneously. TSMC is definitely in the price gouging phase of market dominance, and probably will be until Apple buys GloFo or something. Samsung have zero Taiwan fabs and even the assemblers/ AIBs based in RoC actually assemble almost everything in PRC, so it shouldn't be a problem for nVidia anyway. AMD's problem is still MSony having coordinated their console releases and taking up 80% of their fab space. Fundamentally of course the problem is that inflated prices benefit everyone in the production chain, so long as they're being bought at the end still. I'd expect a lot more odd explanations of price rises until someone decides to look at price fixing. Whereupon, miraculously, the problems will clear up.1 point

They didn't bother to look. Is just the same as the RDR2 online mode ... they don't care. They gladly take your money, but that's it. Everything else is of no importance to R*.1 point

It seems that Systemshock remake is back on track. There is new demo available on Steam and GoG. It's pretty generous when it comes to content - first level I believe. I died before reaching the end, though I feel I have been reaching the end (playing for about 2 hours) - I don't think it supports saves right now. I never played Systemshock1, UI just seemed a bit too prohibitive, and so far I liked a lot what I played. It still feels like an old game but in good ways. There are few kinks - these is one bit when you play a game of Plummer while levitating - that was super awkward. I assume the Plummer minigame wasn't done in real time in the original. But overall, good stuff.1 point

To paraphrase the great philosopher Mick Dundee: That's not a conspiracy theory, this is a conspiracy theory... Everyone knows there are shortages of gpus and cpus. The reason for that is not Intel and to a lesser extent Samsung crapping the bed or high demand for hardware due to everyone staying at home because of covid or supply side issues due to shipping being completely asterisked; the real reason is that the foundries that make them are now too busy making the microchips that are going into the vaccines to make enough cpus/ gpus. Think about it sheeple, you know it makes sense.1 point

For the most part weapon and gear maintenance was to easy pre 7.0 and with the changes made it makes you reconsider item management and also promotes more farming as you now need more items to repair gear in 7.0.1 point
