WILL THE ALMIGHTY
The mouse wheel should've scrolled between weapons and there should have been a melee shortcut to switch to a melee weapon or at least give a quick knife/whatever strike. Tigranes
You *can* set number hotkeys to weapons. I had 1 for stimpack, 2 for main gun, 3 for gren, 4 for melee option, etc. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)

I had 1 for stimpack, 2 for main gun, 3 for gren, 4 for melee option, etc. 9 hotkeys wasn't nearly enough, especially with the horrible inventory UI that made switching anything a total pain. For me it was: 1 ) Melee weapon/light melee weapon 2 ) Heavy melee weapon/one hand range weapon 3 ) semi automatic 2 hand range weapon 4 ) automatic range weapon/combat shotgun/minigun 5 ) stimpacks 6 ) Heavy weapon/sniper rifle/plasma rifle/grenades 7 ) frag mines/heavy weapon 8 ) bottlecap mine It was a ton of switching about and really annoying. Heheh, I hardly ever carry more than 2-3 weapons. So for me it goes: 1-stimpack 2-default change ammo 3-pistol or other closer range gun weapon 4-sniper weapon 5-unarmed weapon (hardly ever used) 6-variable 7-radaway 8-sunset sas. I never worried about it too much, especially since there were so many times where the weapon hotkeys were wiped out (casinos, etc). “Things are as they are. Lexx
Hahahaha, good joke. If they get their hands on it, chances are pretty good that Interplay will milk Fallout in the same way Bethesda does. Enoch
I only ever assigned a few hotkeys. 1 was the "cheap weapon" to use on low-threat mooks. 3 was my close-range room-clearer (usually a SMG or assault rifle). 4 was my sniping weapon. 5 was usually a second rifle, with a bit more punch than the gun in the 4-spot (e.g., my first Sniper rifle, when Ratslayer was still keyed to 4, or the Q-35 on my e-weaps character who sniped with a scoped Laser Rifle). I didn't regularly carry more guns than that. Edited January 23, 2011 by Enoch
WILL THE ALMIGHTY
Half my hotkeys were different revolvers. The others were all shotguns. "Alright, I've been thinking. Calax
I think I broke my game. I've walked into Gammorah with my pal doing the "I'm in combat" stuff, and I get stuck because the bouncer is supposed to take my guns, but he won't. This means I'll loose 2 hrs if I can't fix it! sorophx
just forget about Gomorrah. I never bother to reload if it's just one line of sidequests. I noticed it was put up a few hours ago whilst trawling for late night brainfood, there's also one with Tim Cain and Chris Avellone. Slowtrain
The game still has broken quests? Is there another patch coming? Or has Bethesda once again left a broken game sitting in the dust? Slowtrain
I was just reading on the Fallout wiki that in NV non-hardcore mode companions can't die? Is that true? I mean, I assume it is, but didn't people find that pretty gamebreaking? How much fun can a non-hardcore game be if you get to run around with an unkillable meatshield at your side. Unless one wants to solo the game, is there any point to playing non-hardcore? Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names.
