  1. (Very minor spoiler warning) I found a Minor Ring of Protection in Easternwood (in a hidden brick in the graveyard), and I tried to put it on Eder.... It didn't do anything. I put it on my main character, and it increased two of the three stats it was supposed to affect. I put it on another character, and it increased all three stats. It appeared to increase stats that were below 50, but have no effect on stats above 50. I've attached two screenshots of my attempt to have Eder wear it. The first one shows the infobox for the ring, while it's in Eder's inventory (you can see it just to the right of the infobox): The scond one shows the ring on Eder: In both screenshots, you'll see that his Fortitude, Reflex, and Will are 70, 50, and 50. The ring should increase them to 75, 55, and 55. As the subject says, I'm using Steam version 1.0.6.0591.
  2. This was reported before but people either went silent or claim it's fixed already. It's not: 'Old Watcher' is finished and next quest is not started. Period. Complete game breakage.
  3. Okay a while ago I started playing a Paladin and at first I thought I would not like it, but it turned out I did. ( It is my first Character to get this far in the game. ) At first I did not pay attention to Faith of Conviction ( How it works. ) because I thought that it got added to the defences silently. With that I mean I thought that even though it did not show on the defences it was still added. After the 1.06 patch got live my Paladins Defences suddenly got raised by amounts that seemed to look like those from Faith and Conviction. Just after patch 1.06 was installed. And it stayed like that until I reached level 10, then the defences suddenly showed up like this? ( As if FaC was gone? ) Now after reaching level 10? Now at the time of both screenshots above, the only icons that showed next to my Paladin and the rest of the party where those of Zealous Focus and the one for Dragons Lair resting bonus, and I was not in combat? I have no explanation of what causes this, and I have no idea whether it is a bug or not? Just in case some one wants to know the active effects on my Paladin ... Active effects. ( The same on level 9 and 10. ) The above seems odd to me, so hence my question.
  4. As you can read from Hirbel's Protective Skin below that it is Pierce-proofed but the pierce reduction isn't applied in the defence section on the bottom left. Here is another item with wrong text description and subtext out of alignment.
  5. I don’t know if this is a bug or a desired effect, but since I updated with 1.05 patch, the quest items are stuck in my stash. I can’t move them neither to my inventory, nor rearrange them in the stash – they are just “glued” to their positions. And before someone asks why I care about it – here is why. There is a quest item – a medallion that gives Might +2. If this is a true RPG I should be able to decide whether I want to return the item to the owner (some Elf who stole the medallion in the first place) or I decide to keep the medallion and use it instead (Might+2 is pretty good feat). Instead now I’m not able do anything with the quest items and the only option for me is to return the medallion to the elf. I play on Normal Difficulty and my stash is unrestricted.

  7. Hi, I've just defeated all foes with my last standing summoned creature. All of my heroes are unconscious, but they can not recover, because battle is somehow still pending. I think that I should either lose or my heroes should wake up in such a situation. Unfortunatelly, I can not save the game to show the problem, because battle is still pending...
  8. Description: Under the "Food" menu in Crafting, right-clicking on an ingredient AFTER right-clicking on any other item will show the latter's item description and a missing graphic. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: 1. Open Stash, inventory, spell-list, etc. and right-click to show an item description (in my case, I right-clicked on a Tanglefoot Scroll). Close out of the item description window. 2. Open the Crafting menu and choose any food recipe. 3. Right-click on one of the ingredients for the recipe. 4. Notice the item description (for Tanglefoot Scroll) listed is for the item you chose previously and the graphic for the ingredient is missing (see screen shot in .zip).   9. Descriptions do not appear for ingredients in the crafting section. Rather, text from the previous read book or other text outside of crafting is shown instead.
  10. With to lollop I mean he je will jump forward feet by feet with no animation. Please compare screenshot and savegame.
  11. Sometimes Rolling Flame is not reflected at a wall or object but goes through it. In my recent case that was not only weired thing which happend: Rolling Flame went through the closed door north to me where it hit enemies. It got reflected, but not only one Rolling Flame came back but two. At the same time enemies south to me got magically hit by another invisible rolling flame. It's magic! Please compare screenshot and savegame. P.S. it's not the only bug related to this very particular spell, there are two other bugs too: one and another one.
  12. Ok, so I FINALLY got a chance to play SoT. I was loving it until my game came to a skretching halt due to a bug or something. I'm playing on a PS3. When I first enter the wall after the two fights with the underpants gnomes, I'm able to kill the rat and walk into the hole on the otherside of the rat that should lead to a cut scene in which Douchebag watches his parents talk through the vent cover (I only know that's what the cutscene is because I looked it up on YouTube to see if I was doing something wrong). HOWEVER... When I enter that area after the rat, my screen never loads and while I can hear the music bed that's supposed to play on that cutscene, I get absolutely no visual and no voices. What the hell is going on? I've reloaded the autosave and other (older) save files, restarted, turned off and on my machine, unplugged the machine entirely, and all sorts of other things, all to no avail. I'm not willing to go back and replay the whole damn game on the off chance that I wont have the exact same problem, but it's a damn shame as the game is ASTOUNDING otherwise.
  13. Haven't hacked, cheated, exploited in any way, shape, or form (intentionally, at least; I wouldn't know if I inadvertantly triggered a bug somehow). Cleared Endless Paths. Team's Eder, Aloth, Sagani, Durance, Kana, and my toon. All level 9. Came back to keep, to find Main Hall in tatters. Thought "maybe it's a scenario? Bandits came and looted it?" Checked keep; Main Hall was reverted to unbuilt. Everything else already built was active. Couldn't build new things because "Requires Main Hall." Logged out, hoping a restart would solve it, went to bed. Logged on today. Now, (at the least) West Curtain Wall has reverted to unbuilt. I can Purchase the West Curtain Wall, but things I haven't built yet "Requires Main Hall." What the hell's going on? Why is my keep degrading??? Is this a feature of the stronghold? Having to perpetually "rebuild" it? I hope to God that it's not an unfixable bug; I'm NOT going to load an earlier save game from before clearing the Endless Paths and do it all over again! -Disgruntled Lym Last login, was approx 24-25-ish hours ago, in case that matters.   14. There's lorem ipsum text in the first room in the catacombs. When I enter the catacombs and go into the first little room there's a "Memorials" sign. I looked at it and it showed lorem ipsum text. I looked at it again and it had the expected text. When you look at the memorials sign there are a bunch of options, the first one says "Theferds of Wollongong" Happy Hunting! Josiah
  15. So on level 8 of the endless paths I've encountered a bug which has completely made it impossible for me to continue playing. Two of my characters do not get aggro'd by enemy NPCs and can not target enemies with spells or abilities that would not affect allies too. I imagine this has to do with the charm person spell Fampyrs cast causing them to bug out but basically this needs to be fixed cause it's a total joke. Attaching my save. Tried rezoning and reloading and am verifying game files atm. If that works I'll amend this post. save game here
  16. Durance is stuck on a wall in the Endless Paths and I cannot seem to get him unstuck. I've read about some people experiencing this and were able to correct it by camping, using a knockdown on the stuck character, having the stuck character attack, etc. None of these have worked for me. Has anyone experienced this and have another idea on how to get the character unstuck? I don't have a save to revert back to, either.

I'm attempting to run the linux version, and all I get is the lower-left corner of the display output on my monitor (meaning I get a full-screen display, but the full screen is only showing the lower left portion of the game). The mouse does not map to the display, so I cannot select any options (I have to kill the game with my window manager rather than with the game menu options). Portions that show only a quadrant include opening videos and initial game menu (cannot get past the menu). I'm pretty sure this is multi-monitor related, because if I display on only one of my monitors, it appears to work correctly... but when I have my desktop across all four monitors, I only get 1/4 of the game. Steps to reproduce: Connect four (probably reproducible with less) monitors to your machine Set your desktop environment to use all monitors Start the game Game will show only a portion of the video output Current workaround: Reduce desktop to a single screen, then start the game. Seriously annoying, but it works. OS: Gentoo Linux with kernel 3.19.6 on a 64-bit architecture using 32-bit libraries for steam and games Desktop Environment: KDE 4.14.3 GPU: GeForce GTX 780 using nvidia-drivers-349.16 RAM: 16 GB VRAM: 3 GB Audio: Using ctxfi module
  18. Its fairy easy not to do but still. After I've right click on a skill to view the full description, If I unpause the game without closing it first, it crashes. Is anybody else having this issue or just me? P.S. Also for what its worth the skill descriptions stack up on top of one another instead of disappearing when click on something else causing you to have to click the x five times.
  19. Hey everyone. I bought Pillars of Eternity from Steam about a month ago and I'm almost fifty hours into the game. I'm loving it, however I've come across what I think is a bug that has hindered my progress. In the quest "The Hermit of Hadret House", I've been asked by Lady Webb to join one of the three factions of Defiance Bay as a representative to go to that animancy hearing. I only did one quest for the Dozens, I did nothing for those other guys (forget their names) and I did all the quests for the Crucible Knights and became an honorary member of that faction. I spoke to the leader and he said that I could go to the hearing on the Crucible Knights' behalf and my journal entry has stated the same thing. Unfortunately when I return to Lady Webb to give her an update on the situation, the only dialogue option I get is that I've burned all the bridges to the three factions and cannot get any of their help. Lady Webb can still help me but... it's the least ideal situation as I would prefer to do this through the Knights. I've heard others are experiencing similar issues. The recent big patch doesn't seem to rectify this. Is there a fix or any way to resolve this? Sadly, I can't explore any more of the game until I go through with this mission (I read some spoilers online that in order to further progress my travels, I have to finish this quest). Thoughts?
  20. If I try to open info about any items in inventory interface can hangs for 10-60sec. And if I try to close it will be closed in 10-60sec... Reproducing: 1. Open Stash. 2. Switch on sorting by "Item type". 3. Press rigth mouse button on any items, if interface still fast, close info window and repeat this step again (until reproducing bug: 1-2 times).   21. Hello there! Hope someone can help me with this bug. Description: I walked into a new area, right before a cutscene was about to happen. Loading screen goes normally, but when finished - everything is messed up... User interface is completely bugged, can't walk around or interact with anything, but I'm allowed to open C, H, I, J, load and save etc normally. Including save file, as I'm trying hardcore - and it saved when I walked into the new area. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: Walk into a new area right before a cutscene is about to start.   22. Issue: Alt-tabbing with the loot screen open causes the game to hang. Reproduction steps: 1) Open a loot container 2) Alt tab out of the game 3) Alt tab back to the game. Result: the game window will not respond to any mouse clicks or input, and Windows will eventually tell you the game has hung. Viewing the game's memory usage in task manager in this state will show only ~16-32MB instead of the normal hundreds. Unfortunately it doesn't happen every time, but it's definitely present in 1.05b. I'm unsure if it was in 1.04 also.
  23. Hi, The Ring of Searing Flames doesn't seem to produce the Combusting Wounds spell when equipped after one of my characters did. To be specific, I had Kana equip the ring and it showed in one of the abilities but after I got Pallegina and equipped it on her, it doesn't show. I've tried on all the other characters and they have the same issues. Please help, thanks! PS: Refer to screenshots below. The second one clearly shows there is no Combusting Wounds.
  24. Hey there. I got a "special" problem in my Pillars of Eternity. Since i started to encounter Od Nua, i got on every Map 3 Sekeletons and 1 Ghost, who are belonging to me. Sometimes there are out of the Map (you can't see them).But if they are inside the map they start to fight immidiatly if they see an enemy, even if i am not there. Besides, i can't controll them. After 30h of playing with that Bug, the Skelletons and the Ghost, are attacking now every single Person on every Map. Due to this, i cant speak to NPC's even more, because the Skelletons will attack them. I restartet the Game. I reloaded an older savegame. Nothing helped.   25. Hi. I have a problem with Pillars of Eternity. I entered the Temple of Eothas then talked to a guy that gave me quest to search the temple for dead priests. After that, everytime I try to exit the temple in order to search a guy near the forge - the game crashes. I tried to explore the temple further before exiting, but with no luck.
