  1. On island south from TIkawara there is a WAel sanctuary with high level mage weapon. When I try to leave the dungeon game crashes (4 times already) and gives me crash report which i attach. This is my only save file after many hours spent on playing. Can GameDeV help me with this problem? Also on my computer setup (i can play witcher 3 ultra high details easy) i have whole range of POE2 crashes on top with unexpected computer reboot. All problems are solved when I turn of every GFX and what observed is that lightining is breaking up whole game... Nice optimizaiton. output_log.txt error.log crash.dmp
  2. Dear Obsidian, I'm playing addon Beast of Winter on my Mac and got a crash when fight with Soul Collector (when he beat my character). Even if I kill him without touching me next Soul Collector wil touch and game crash.   4. Hi, I purchased this game on a sale last year and only started playing this now. It keeps hanging then eventually gives a "Pillars of Eternity is not responding" message. Here are the screenshots for the hanging and the error message: https://imgur.com/a/MCxZMKK It seems to happen every time a new "area" or "event" is triggered while exploring the local map. Things i tried before posting: 1. Verified Game Files 2. Set Power plan to high performance 3. lowered graphics 4. gave admin permissions to .exe What's happening?   5. Hi, i've just bought the game, and I really love it, but after the caravan level (A moment's respite) it keeps freezing and then crashes. How can I solve this issue? Edit: I tried to restart the game, but doesn't work and gives me a message of error. It also says to send a folder to the developers. crash.dmp error.log output_log.txt report.ini
  6. Upon loading, trying to manage constantines equipment or level him up will cause a game crash. I noticed this is repeatable and seemed to occur after fitting him out with his current helmet/armor. files have been emailed to support.
  7. Recently reinstalled POE and it worked fine for awhile. Now whenever I try to load a game the screen goes black with just the gauntlet mouse icon. If I try to start a new game, it goes into the starting loading screen and then kicks me back to the main menu. Any solutions to this? Win 10, Geoforce gtx 1070
  8. I've been having a issue for the past couple days where if I try to load a saved game it will crash and tell me "The game crashed. The crash report folder named "2019-05-11_081110" next to game executable." I recently purchased the game and I've been enjoying it. So it'd be great if someone could tell me how to fix this ASAP.   9. Game freezes or crashes shortly after Rymrgand smashes the ground with his axe upon refusing to serve him. I don't know what happens after that because after the camera follows the purple fracturing effect, the screen either freezes or the game crashes. I've attached the crash log. The screen freeze is similar to that of the Fort Deadlight bug. 2018-08-06_184944.zip

  11. CONSTANT RANDOM CRASHES -- An Unplayable Game Hello Obsidian. I am revising this post because the "bug" I originally wrote about is much, much worse than I originally thought. I am getting constant random crashes. They occur 100% of the time. They make the game completely unplayable. If the opening PoE1 recap isn't skipped, the game will freeze/crash before the introduction cinematic (narrated by Eder) can play. If I skip the recap, the intro movie plays (Deadfire has not yet crashed mid-intro) and the first area--the In Between--loads and the game appears playable and stable. However it will always freeze/crash before the Watcher/Soul character makes it all the way to the Adra Pillar at the far right of the screen. Often the audio will cut-out, or seem to, a few moments prior to the freeze/crash. Exactly one time an audio line played to the end after the game froze, however. I have attempted everything I can possibly do on my end to diagnose and/or workaround the problem, including but not limited to: Windows compatibility mode (Win7, Win8, even WinXP) settings. Administrator privileges off/on. Countless possible Deadfire configurations--windowed, fullscreen, every quality preset, every available resolution, multiple vfx enabled/disabled combination. The gamut. Steam did, of course, verify the integrity of the game cache. I also redownloaded the game, multiple times, after manually purging it from my system (not a fun thing to do when you suffer from bandwidth caps) Oh, and I've also tried running the game off of an SSD, off an HDD, from the default Steam install directory and from a unique Steam install directory. I was able to get the game to run off of an old laptop, with an integrated GPU, albeit very poorly (10fps are far from optimal; combat is impossible) that doesn't even come close to the minimum recommended specs... but it doesn't crash. Using Steam cloud saves to load saves from the laptop to my PC (in the starting island, the world map and inside the cave) and... you guessed it, Deadfire still crashes on me, usually a few seconds after loading up the area. Sometimes I have time to move my party, but the game usually crashes before anyone can make a it a half-dozen steps. To be perfectly honest, I've been a PC gamer for a very long time and I haven't had this much trouble with a game since I bought a copy of Daikatana out a bargain bin for $0.99, and that game was quickly re-purposed into a Frisbee. My PC specs are as follows: 3.55ghz quad-core i5 CPU 16gb memory 2gb HD6870 GPU Windows 10 x64 (Note that this is a PC that ran Pillars of Eternity perfectly. And also note, as I've proved, that Deadfire is capable of running on a toaster.) My working theory is that this may be a compatibility problem between whichever version of Unity Deadfire is using and my GPU drivers, but only because ATI drivers are typically the cause of my headaches (whenever I upgrade, I'm going nVidia and never touching ATI again). But at the same time, the game does load and appear to render properly, so I have no idea. No ideas, just lots of frustration. I will request moderators lock/delete the original thread. .... EDIT1 I am experiencing greatly improved stability after patch 1.02. I can now play the game for 20 minutes--sometimes longer--before seeing a crash! And, now, when the game crashes a window pops up informing me of the creation of the output log, which is handy.   12. Hi. So I just installed the game and right after trying to start it, I get the following error message: " Oops! The game crashed. The crash report folder named "2019-02-28_162222" next to game executable. It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game! " Attached to this message is a zip file with the crash.dmp, error.log and output_log.txt files. It includes the dxdiag.txt file as well with my system specs.   13. Loving the turn-based combat. I put 16hrs into yesterday!! There seems to be promblems in the Brass Citidel area. Ive had the game crash on me severals times today. Cant get in over 5mins of play time in the area. Theirs also an issue that animations during conversations freeze and you cant choose dialog options, but the space bar will make the characters say random things without knowing what they are responding to. If someone could post a Dropbox link.. Along with easy instructions I can send the error report. Or tell me what files to attach below.. Thanks

  15. Just bought game two days ago, and the 3 DLC's for $30 more. 5 hours into a session the game crashes. No big deal..... the game doesn't F$%#@ng autosave for ironman mode. Would have to replay 5 hours I just did. I see online this has been a problem since launch and developers never addressed it. Tried to get a refund on steam but because I'm over 2 hours, no dice. Out $80. I'm not going to replay those 5 hours again when a crash can happen anytime and there is no way to save progress without occasionally save-exiting the game. Is there anyway to go back to just before the crash in the game files? If not is there anyway to get my god damn money back. It's not like i was googling looking for this specific issue when I bought the game. For the developers: Crash happened in the middle of talking to the 5 gods for the first time. When it keeps alternating which one is colored in when they speak. Spent a long time trying to find the crash file, and it appears it wasn't created?

  17. Hello. This is my first time using this forum so I hope I am doing this correctly. I have just got POE 2 and while I am loving the game, it is almost unplayable for me. It seems that my game crashes every 10 to 15 minutes. The crashes usually happen when I either open up my inventory or search something. I can still hear the music in the background and can even hear myself selecting characters but the screen is frozen in place. I have also gotten crashes going into new areas. I have updated my graphics drivers thinking this was the problem but alas, it still persists. I will attach my output log and crash folder. Any help would be appreciated.   18. I'm experiencing a game stopping crash in Fort Deadlight. I've just had a drinking contest, won it, and a guard comes down the stairs. I take the opportunity to go up the stairs, and the game crashes. The odd thing is that although I the screen locks up and stops redrawing the audio continues in the background. So i hear the interactions playing out as if I'm still playing.   19. Description: After reading through all of the ending slides, the screen goes black and never progresses. I get a pop-up in the background telling me that the game crashed. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: It happens when I complete the game and read through all of the slides and try to progress past the last "watcher" ending slide. I've tried it twice now and it happened both times. Important Files: I included my crash folder as an attachment. I tried to include some save files but they are too large to attach.   20. Hello, I recently bought PoE2 - Deadfire and upon launching the .Exe, either through steam or directly, The game fails to even start and the following error is displayed on the desktop: Oops! The game crashed. The crash report folder......It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!" I uninstalled, re-installed, restarted my PC, returned the game on steam and bought on GOG, made sure my drivers are up to date, and a myriad of other attempts at fixing the issue but so far, 0 luck. here is the bug report and my dxdiag.   21. I started a completely fresh game after The Forgotten Sanctum launched. The game crash at random. Some times it crashes on the same action (e.g. transition from one floor/area to another) a couple of times, then it stop crashing there (e.,g. in Oathbinder's Sanctum). Had one just now, where it crashed while talking to a NPC (Abocco, bounty manager in The Wild Mare). If any logs are needed, please tell me where I can find them on Linux. The directions in the How to report a bug thread didn't really tell me much.   23. Description - Crash to desktop when using map to exit Neketaka by sea from Periki's Overlook. Crash occured when the character reached the end of the map of Neketaka. Reproducible? No, tried to reproduce but no crash occurred.

I just purchased Pillars of Eternity, and whenever i have tried to run the game it crashes on startup, and i get the following text: Switching to resolution 3x0 failed, trying lower one Switching to resolution 3x0 failed, trying lower one All resolution switches have failed Screen: could not switch resolution (1920x1080 fs=1 hz=0) Can anyone please help me find a solution? Otherwise I'm going to have to get a refund on steam cos no way am I keeping a broken game in the hope it magically fixes itself in some future update.
  25. Hi all I'm playing on Steam and have not been able to progress. Occasionally while viewing/moving items in character inventory or reading/clicking stats and effects for characters the game will completely freeze without coming back. Sound still plays, and if I hit ESC or click outwith the inventory screen I get sound effects to indicate movement etc, but the visuals are stuck displaying whatever I was looking at (Inventory/Character sheet) without change. None of the visuals behind the info screen change either - the only thing indicating the game is registering input is the sound effects. This has happened every session I've played and tonight was the longest I've played without crashing (I'm guessing something like 30 - 50 mins). No crash log is generated but I've attached all the other files. The only thing I've tried was turning off telemetry, but it crashed again after that. Hope you can help, thanks.
