  1. I've read a number of bug reports here but none seemed to describe this issue, for which I didn't think to make a save either. Every time I've tried to get the Dawnstars to help with the food shortage I simply have no conversation option for it with anyone at the Temple of Gaun. However, after talking to Pitli I could delve into the matter and she sent me to the high priestess. At that point I suddenly had two conversation options to bring up the matter, and only one of them involved Pitli. It seems to me that the other one should be available to me even if I hadn't helped Pitli or been sent by her. And just for the record, my first visit to the Temple of Gaun was after helping Pitli with the cure but before discussing the food shortage with her.
  2. I'm hearing the shanties with a female lead vocalist for the first time. Thought I just had ****ty hearing to not have noticed them before 1.2, but now I can tell they're distinctly different from the male ones. Color me pleasantly surprised.
  3. Perhaps it's a Patinated Plate? Imagine how much easier your lives would be if it were simple to steal it
  4. The more likely thing seems to be that if we get CDiaz to ask about it, they'll say it wasn't implemented and they'll remove its game data too. Rinse repeat until there are no more talents that the community doesn't know how to get. Which currently seems to be three and they all involve evil (GftM, ER and the mutiny talent).
  5. I don't think it's Cignath Mor but Sayuka. You can piss off the RDC by siding with the druids and taking out the local Fleet Master. IDK if this is the actual trigger or it's just all the negative rep involved, because after leaving her office you'll have to kill a bunch of her soldiers too. Edit: You can of course also do Cignath Mor in a way the RDC won't like, but it doesn't antagonize them, not by itself at least. It's just another way of providing incompetent help, which is pretty enjoyable :D
  6. There's a 1/rest necklace that boosts your PL for one combat encounter. Stone of Power?
  7. You need higher stealth and/or a sneakier approach. When your selection circle is filled with red you are detected. Anything less and you can attempt a pickpocket. Generally you try to start somewhere nobody has eyes on (empty circle) and sneak up from some direction they aren't looking, and depending on your stealth skill and their detection you may get next to them before you go full red. You'll also need some sleight of hand skill to pickpocket though.
  8. I've played with a bunch of custom and premade backgrounds, surely with varying decisions with regards to the Eyeless, and I can't recall that belt not dropping.
  9. Nah the game is terribly inconsistent with checks. Lifting a wagon? Strength. Swimming? Athletics. Or not athletics. This one is constitution. Swinging on on a rope. Athletics. Grabbing gems. Dexterity. Wiping a party on such ambiguous terms is ridiculous. In plenty of wilderness interactions you can pass checks with sufficient perception or sufficient survival. We could really do with some overlap with athletics and physical attributes that befit the situation.
  10. That can be more than enough to ensure victory @JFutral: Injuries are a poor limitation to the no-rest tactic, and one big reason is spelled Luminous Adra Potion. It's +2 skills until rest for everyone which means you're not likely gonna get an injury from a failed scripted skill check or a trap you couldn't disarm. Also, the potion itself heals injuries without requiring rest. And you can simply buy all its components, even the dust if you know where to look. As has been said in the thread about this very tactic is the game shouldn't be about spam resting or never resting, but about occasional resting. Currently that is the least rewarding tactic, though it's not without merit if you consider things like using semi-rare food that you couldn't afford to spam if you played spam rest, yet you have access to per rest abilities without knowing you're never gonna see them again unless you want to lose your stacked rare world bonuses. If we could somehow make "occasional resting" the optimal way to play, I don't think this figurine nerf would be needed. But how would you do it? Bring back fatigue to **** over no rest and put timers galore on quests to **** over spam rest?
  11. Pretty damn sure they despawn when combat ends even if they are fresh out of the box and healthy as a crossfitting vegan. Can't recall anything else getting charges. The reason per rest is so meaningless is because resting is so easy in Deadfire. You just give one party member any kind of food item, of which you can have hundreds from just looting everything in sight. In PoE1 you technically could spam per rest but you'd have to double back to an inn when you ran out of camping supplies. You certainly could address the whole per rest spam circus by doing something about rest spam, but what would you do? It's a very large undertaking. There's also an approach to the game that involves stacking one-time bonuses that fade when you rest, and never resting. Both are bizarre
  12. Currently, yes, but since "per rest" is a fairly meaningless restriction in Deadfire they're also getting charges.
  13. Yeah, there are a few on the second floor. There are a few ways to reach it but if you simply sneak past the house they shouldn't see you
  14. It's a shame we spent two pages debating whether Obsidian should be balancing the game. I wasn't advocating this specific nerf, I just feel some kind of nerf is in order and that Obsidian should indeed be balancing their game. If we can move past that topic we could instead perhaps talk about the right way of doing it, for example something that doesn't involve charges so that players like JFutral can have their pseudo-companion. This could be: - A cap on the amount of figurines able to be used during a single encounter - Diminishing summoned creature PL with each subsequent figurine summon in a single encounter - Inability to have several figurine summons active simultaneously
  15. The game makes a SPECIFIC save before you cross the point of no return. It will be called PRE-ENDGAME. You can always fall back on that.
  16. It's a minor RPG trope that acid and poison are the same thing, but PoE seems to keep them apart. Poison effects tend to deal raw damage here.
  17. That does make sense. Should be conveyed somewhere though.
  18. Uh, do you actually get the buff for siding with Woedica? The datamining just makes it seem like you should.
  19. It "should" be but it's a dialect thing. If you watch Pirates of the Caribbean you'll notice Captain Jack Sparrow talks like that too ^^
  20. Yeah, I seem to recall PoE1 nearly always had disposition-neutral responses available.
  21. I'm sorry, but a **** joke is gonna be required here... GDI, everything gets censored. I think you understand anyway ^^
