  1. Hey, I'll try to keep this brief. Gift of Hope is a datamined permanent buff that according to the description is given to you by Eothas. However, I have yet to hear of someone actually getting it. To me it feels like you should receive this at Hasongo if you weren't doing **** things in PoE1 (Gift from the Machine, Effigy's Resentment), however this is not the case. I would just like to know if this buff is supposed to actually be available, and if so, if you could confirm the delivery mechanism for it is working. And if it is working, we could use a clue as to how to get it
  2. I'm trying to get an idea of the "value" of a pire, and this quest always feels disproportionately rewarding. Now, if someone wants to say it's just meant as an early game cash boost, I accept that, gameplay decision yada yada. But if you want to call it appropriate payment and nothing else, read on. A few examples come to mind. Firstly, we have Bertenno, Fassina's trystbuddy. He owes Stoneheel 400cp. This makes him desperate enough to steal from Arkemyr's shop, because a 400cp debt is bad enough that Stoneheel would force him into "indentured servitude", the longer way of saying slavery. Of course, Stoneheel might just be cruel, but if I can get 1200cp for convincing a guy to leave a room he isn't paying for, it shouldn't be so hard for Bertenno to make 400cp. And let's take Iverra, the Vailian scientist being smuggled into RDC's service. The smuggler (name eludes me) takes her from an unknown point to some location between Neketaka and Sayuka where we meet up and the crates are transferred to my ship. She agreed to do this for 1000cp, even if she'll try to charge you double. So for all the time, effort and risk involved in smuggling, she wants less than I got for throwing a drunk out of a room. A four star crew member makes, what, 4cp a day? So I got almost a year's wages for a highly skilled sailor... for kicking Gailian out of the room. I think if I just shrug the Gailian deal off as an early game cash boost, everything else makes sense. Still, I wanted to raise the topic, so make your thoughts known.
  3. I hope there won't be an increased level cap. We barely get to play at the current one. I'd like instead to see content tuned directly around it in the DLC's. As in going there with great geared level 20 parties and tweaking until the challenge is right, rather than tuning it for level 10 and hoping scaling will keep the difficulty comparable. And I'm definitely not interested in more arms races between single and multiclass.
  4. Yeah, I noticed. I made a Benevolent Soul story mode console-cheating character trying to get Gift of Hope, but it's tiresome to experiment. I'm thinking it might involve [also] helping the Dawnstars, but at the same time I recall the two "evil" buffs were rather straightforward to get in PoE1 and not hidden behind a series of very specific decisions. The fact I haven't seen anyone mention getting the buff makes me think it's either bugged, not implemented or indeed hidden behind a series of very specific decisions. Actually, the datamined Gift of Hope description says you get it from Eothas. I'll see if I can get something out of a techie.
  5. Always Wael for me too. Well, since I learned about the no rest method I just approach the camp and leave it again, but always been Wael when I've checked.
  6. Adam said four difficulties, there are five, devs don't play their own game confirmed, insert memes. Oh sorry, I'm fresh off the Blizzard forums.
  7. WHO SHARKMAN AND WHO PRETTY BIRDLADY. SHRIEKING DIMWIT NOT LEARN NAMES OF FOOD. ARKEMYR NOT EVEN LEARN NAME OF PIG HE EAT. AND ARKEMYR VERY CA-PABLE OF REMEMBERING NAME. SHRIEKING DIMWIT NOT.
  8. @Ichthyic: IDK what you're talking about with these values. What's 6 diplomacy? I only see the circle filling up a quarter at a time, so for me there exists 0-4 for each disposition. Also why involve %? Perfect Deep Faith is +15 to all defenses in 1.1. If memory serves it's 11.4 with no dispositions and +0.6 per point in positive ones (up to 3 out of 4), unsure about negatives. @OP: As someone constantly playing Shieldbearer paladins it seems to me aggressive is more associated with choosing to attack unprovoked in dialogue than with threatening. But you can threaten people without being a Bleak Walker or a paladin at all. I doubt they get many unique conversation options to threaten people. I get one unique option as a Shieldbearer and it's pure lore.
  9. I've been playing PotD mass paladin parties over and over and over and over and I'm not noticing this. The casting time is very short. Your problem is probably recovery from whatever the paladin used before you told them to use LoH, but that has nothing to do with LoH. For comparison: When you tell your character to do something, you'll see three things over their head. The health bar, an icon representing their next action and a depleting beige bar beneath the health bar. The depleting beige bar is recovery. Cast time is the swirl inside the icon and begins when recovery is finished. LoH takes half a second to cast and you should notice the icon swirling swiftly. While your character is in recovery the only thing they'll really do is move. Auto attack a crippled xaurip or cast the one Lay on Hands to save all of Eora? Need to wait just as long for recovery before you can start, either way. Also why mass paladins is great. Someone urgently needs a heal? Look not for the paladin with the most bonus healing, upgraded Lay on Hands or an order bonus to it. Look only for the paladin closest to recovering
  10. IMP DOCTOR SAY EAT MORE FRUIT NOT ONLY MEAT. IMP DOCTOR NOT GET MORE SPECIFIC.
  11. TODAY SHRIEKING DIMWIT EAT EKERA GROUNDMEAT WITH BREAD AND PINEAPPLE. GELLARDE GROUNDMEAT HORRIFIED. TAKE PINEAPPLE.
  12. They really could add the option when the enemy has no sails, to reposition your ship to fire at their bow or stern. The time would depend on distance between the ships, and also when you're halfway done or more, the enemy ship would no longer be able to broadside you. In the pictures it would be expressed by the enemy ship turning.
  13. The hell, I had a ship named Gellarde for a whole playthrough and never noticed this.
  14. If you are on that quest you should have been given a passphrase from the queen that you can repeat to the lift girl. Not possible?
  15. ARKEMYR NEVER GAVE NICER NAME WHEN SHRIEKING DIMWIT ASK. NO ASK.
  16. You can't But if you know the range of your cannons and theirs, you can camp at one ideal to you.
  17. PRONOUN IS STUPID GROUNDMEAT THING FOR VAR-IED LAN-GUAGE. PRONOUN IS NOT SHINY.
  18. Sounds odd, because even after giving it to Tumara I could go to Netehe and tell her as much, for a Huana reputation loss and an opportunity to act like a clown.
  19. THIS DIMWIT USE THIRD PERSON PRONOUN. IS GROUNDMEAT SPY. SHRIEKING DIMWIT ONLY DIMWIT.
  20. I assure you, even with 1080p monitor the debuff list reaches my own feet.
