  1. I don't know guys, rogues seem to be very powerful right now... Definitely my first character to try.
  2. All favorite plate armor meta is going off the cliff. Most light clothes is the way to go for good dps. Killing things faster mean you take less damage that can be mitigated by heavier armor, just other approach to things.

  6. Actually, this encounter is doable with wizard without skipping - wizard can beat them. You need to be in a lower corner, using bronze horn figurine so not more than 2 shadows can hit. Focus phantoms first. Use Mirrored Image and Chill Fog. Fan of flames, when animat is dead.
  7. Worked fine for me last time... Could it be internet problems so info was not transferred to steam when you've triggered the goal?
  8. Boarding the ship is a very tough fight. The weird thing - when you kill the majority of enemy crew, like 1 person stays and it's a free shooting target, boarding the ship will result as a combat with whole healthy crew... And I can add that shoot, jibe shoot, repeat is not fun. This needs some changes. p.s. @OP if you'll reach distance more then 600 feet - the combat will be ended (useful if you don't have ammo and your ship is faster).

  11. I've noticed equal shadow shenanigans appearing at Poko Kohara ruins using minimap.
  12. Don't forget that Perception is not only +acc, it's also allows you to see all the hidden things. For instance quest "plucked fruit" - you won't see it on the shore without 18+ per. I tend to maximize perception - hate to miss.

  14. Empower is extremely useful when playing solo, but with damage dealing abilities. Talking about babies, have someone tested this pet? It's not better then wyrm, right?

  16. I've already posted this in another thread, but it's a post Josh made via twitter, so: I really hope Obs will try these mods to see the quality of life changes, that are thoughtful and not game breaking / overpowered.

  18. I'm used to check buidls this way: 1) PotD 2) Buy equip 3) Dismiss all team 4) This should be level 6 solo character. 5) Go to Skulking-Terror, try to kill it. Some pass this test, some can't - pretty simple challange. With Battlemage I could bring him down to 30% of his life, but it's seems imposible to burst so much damage with 3 spells. Even I've picked Large Shield + Full Plate and maximised con, I'm still dying very fast. May be not the best build, but I found it fire. For instance, this encounter is very easy with Shepherd, also take a look at crit numbers: 116 and 74 which tooltip is false?
  19. Awesome mods, combat feels much better now. Still even with this setup wizards (evoker) feels weak, can't do much when solo with only 2 first level and 1 second level spell...
  20. Bad experience: 1. Pretty much everything that is bugged at the moment. 2. Recovery timers are too much, divide them by 2, so fights will be more dynamic - what's the point of waiting for such long action cooldown? 3. Empower ability uncertainty. 4. Combat disengagement system needs improvements. 5. State of casters, spells are slow and feeling ineffective. 6. New grimoire system. 7. Ship fights are too plain, just rotate 180° and fire both sides kinda the most effective way, no point to board other ship. 8. Character faces, cloak animation. It's not very important, but if decision was make to make them 3d - do it good or what's the point? 9. Weapon modals seems a bad idea, why not baldur's gate weapon proficiency or something like that? Good experience: 1. Exploration Feeling 2. Quests. 3. Storyline. 4. Better visuals
  21. Lower recovery rates for player actions would be nice too... It's not fun when optimized build to be fast acting in general is slow in game reality. I don't even know how to play slow builds - that would be so boring. I may be wrong, cause I play solo, so managing a team can take place during these recovery phases, but gosh... it's so not interactive when you are playing solo.
  22. Would -1.5 second of all player recovery times do the combat more dynamic? It's really not fun to stand and wait for new action for so long. I miss time based games.
  23. That's an interesting question. It would be hardly fair to freshly created characters in Deadfire if talents from PoE would transfer, just cause it will be OP AF. So my guess - only most important choices will take place.
