  1. Ask yourself this. In dayZ, wich this is supposed to be, which is the more impressive outcome ?
  2. Stealthbot trying to get in under the post approval ?
  3. Overslept but apparently it was awesome
  4. What's odd is that everyone still pretends that Israel is not completely comitted to this status quo. People still use wording like 're-starting the peace process'. What a joke. Israel is not going to give the PA the autonomy to rearm.
  5. Israel have their foot firmly planted on the neck of Palestine and diplomacy isn't worth giving that up, plain and simple. It also follows that as long as that is the case relations are never going to improve.
  6. I know I'm a complete utter fanatic in all my hobbies and that I might have a screw loose, or maybe a few more, I'm aware of that. You can still own guns in Austria, though the European Union in all its questionable glory fights teeth and claws to outlaw private ownership of firearms and pretty anything else that does not fit in their new twisted world order they're working so hard on. Their newest genius idea is a law that forbids private ownership of lead, a very obvious, cheap way rich on potential collateral damage just to ban ammunition that contains lead - which is about 99% of whats on the market. I'm calling nonsense on that. There is a palpaple demand for stories about the nefarious rules of the common market, those things sell a lot of newspapers and allow people to collectively go 'hah ! I knew it' 90% turn out to be bull. Of course that still leaves 10%. There are a few EU directives on firearms ownership that apply to all member countries and they seem pretty reasonable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overview_of_gun_laws_by_nation http://www.loc.gov/law/help/firearms-control/eu.php The EU is all about the money and European manufacturers if anything have the upper hand as a lobby group.
  7. I'm thinking about taking the plunge and getting a 4k monitor. It would be for media and 2d though. I'll stick with my HD monitor for gaming.
  8. This is the kinda game oculus does really well.
  9. You want a good cooler on it. I've bought a few saphire cards over the years and their fans aren't known to be the best. Is dual X considered to be better than terrible, that would be a step up. If you are handy with a screwdriver it's a quick fix though. It would void the warranty of course.
  10. What's the next big thing anyway. When does it make sense to replace my HD 7950 3 gb ?
  11. My migranes have gone away with age. I used to have them pretty bad. As in throwing up from a headace. Basically a really bad hangover with none of the fun of imbibing alchohol. Related to the optic nerves and my astigmatism which apparently improves with age when everything else whithers, imagine that. For recreational drugs, don't overdo it, as my dad used to say realising that scare tactics weren't going to work.
  12. Love Archer but the last season was kinda tame, like they had run out of things to do.
  13. What's with all this battle of the sexes mentality. I was going to say 'feminist', but of course it cuts both ways. I'm not talking about the movie in particular, but more the notion of having that dichotomy as a selling point. Trust me it's going to be the new zombie black. It's nothing new, but it's going to come in droves untill you are sick of it. Gorgon's razor sharp cultural analysis ©
  14. When I die I'm going to have all my possessions laid around me in a viking longboat which will in turn be set on fire and drifted out to sea. No, not really.
  15. Soo.. Pillars is in like a week or something. For those of us not part of the beta.
  16. The Japanese insist on pronouncing everything with their own phonemes. The drawback being that the more sylables the fewer other than themselves capable of knowing what the hell they were talking about.
  17. I mean tNetanyahu. Anyway aren't they basically the same person.
  18. Ariel Sharon should STFU though, suggesting that European jewish communites should all move to Israel, he's making it worse. It's bad enough that his government can't seem to stop themselves committing war crimes every other year when there is another Gaza offensive.
  19. Germany made a huge mistake in making Nazi symbolism illegal. That's right, you can't actually show a swastika in Germany without special permission. They should have marginalized and ridiculed them instead. Imagine the cool factor you can have simply by virtue of being officially forbidden. This story of a resurgent extreme right in Europe has been told on and off for several decades though. I wonder if anyone has any concrete figures to back it up, remember we are talking about underground movements here.
  20. I dunno what happened. I can't see a reason not to move it to C&C though.

USB 3 is already 5 gbs, that's fast enough to boot from. I think I might have old cables connected to my mobo because I'm getting USB 2 speeds from my external HDD. Doesn't really matter tho. A few seconds more staring at the progress bar.
  22. Individual words don't have to matter, especially if focusing on them leaves out a full understanding of the speakers intent. This is usually the case with expletives that come with a heavy emotional burden for some listeners, such as the word '****'. https://www.google.dk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=louis+ck+%27n%27+word Words don't exist in isolation, though. Sure, take the mean as a whole, using context and other social cues. Same goes with sentence to paragraphs and paragraphs to pages, etc. etc. etc. ...And even expletives and the like *do* convey a meaning. Of course, like context, the tone of the words makes a huge difference. Body language makes a huge difference. That's why communicating in writing often takes a lot more finesse, or least a different finesse, than communicating in person. You can smile when you say 'jackass' which softens it and makes it friendlier. Of course, to mimic this, online forums have emoticons. I guess it comes down to 'can you identify the speaker's intention or not ?'. If the intention is not to offend then I don't think there are any words that should be 'off limits'. It gets problematic when you are adressing a larger public audience because then the subtext, the 'inside joke' can't really be assumed to be shared. I recall something from a grammar course years ago that actually made sense http://grammar.about.com/od/rs/g/speechactterm.htm
