  1. The long and the short of it is that it is unwise for web stores to save your credit card information after a transaction, but without it you can't just 'impulse click' and buy something. You would need to type in your credit card number again. The saftest place to buy things are stores that let you purchase with a 'guest' login.
  2. Everybody everywhere hates EA, it is the norm, not a meme.
  3. I noticed that Unreal engine subcribers get the whole thing. The source code to alter any way they want. I would imagine you get someone who knows how to do the feature you want, but source code modification is available for anyone. In the case of Unreal they get their cut when and if you sell your game.
  4. The fed is what passes for a national bank in the US and in terms of public image it is somewhere inbetween the Illuminati and Weyland Utani. It's a bit of a catch 22 situation. There is undeniably a need to regulate (as in influence, not legislate) interest rates, inflation, economic activity, what have you, but giving this power to politicians would be tantamount to Communism. So they gave it to a sinister cabal instead.
  5. Shadowrun Dragonfall. Decided to give it another go. It's decent. The combat system is kinda meh though and I also feel they starve you for abilities. It's just hard to have a satisfying build when you can't realistically advance more than 3 skill bars and for each skill advancement bar there is a prerequisite bar which ads no skills. Usually it's just core to hit bonus. Also, why is there no cover behind doorways ?. I suspect it's because LOS is sortof broken. Don't like the graphics much, the best that can be said about them is that they are adequate. The story is strong and you generally care about the NPCs you are straddled with. Straddled as in there is no permadeath and in select missions you die automatically if a party member dies. It would have been a much better game if more care had been taken designing the combat system and play testning the environment. Not complaining though. It's well worth getting overall.
  6. Wouldn't it be an advantage to be small and wirery over buff, like running a marathon. Theres not as much mass to move.
  7. The president has nothing to do with the economy and he always gets the blame, or the praise, anyway. It's tradition.
  8. It's bull certainly. Kappa are the mythological equalivants of Panda bears. They wouldn't survive 5 minuites out of a zoo. http://onmarkproductions.com/html/kappa.shtml
  9. It's not a made up word as one might expect so the devs could claim copyright on the IP. They would be hard pressed to prevent the creation of another Vampyr game. I prefer Vampir actually, that's where a certain famous one comes from. Nosferatu - Romania Upyr - Russia Yakshis - India Lampir - Bosnia yara ma yha who - aboriginal australian vampir - bulgaria obayifo - ghana callicantzaros - greece bajang - malaysia baital - india incubus - pan european jaracara - brazilian baobhan sith - old gaelic scottish mulo - serbian vampyr - slavic asasabonsam - ghana ekiminus - assyria kathakano - crete aswang - philippines vampira - philppines danag - philippines mananangal - philippines encantong dugo - philippines capre - philippines tianak (vampire baby) - philippines mandurugo - philippines pontianak - malaysia canchus - peru ghoul - arabic kukuthi - albanian lugat - albanian dakhanavar - armenia bluatsauger - germany nachzehrer - germany mulo - gypsy alukah - hebrew kappa - japan kyuketsuki - japan strix - latin vampir - hungarian upirina - croatian drakul - serbian sukuyan - trinidad and tobago upyr - slavic ukranian
  10. I don't know how things work in the US but there is often an understanding that you don't blow your own horn too loudly and make yourself the hero of the story at the expense of your unit.
  11. So basically he's an ****/war criminal ?
  12. My main gripes ; too many kids and too much jhon snow.other than that i'm just glad to have a fantasy show with a big budget no less that isn't completely hopeless.
  13. Theres a melee guy and a shooty girl etc. Not enough ammo available to be shooting all the time. You get upgrades to ammo capacity and ammo crafting at higher levels.
  14. I was rather bemused to see the DDosing of a few French news outlets described as 'Cyber terrorism'.
  15. All this online coop only is a pestilence. Whatever happened to shooting at people.. online.. now all you can do is help them, and yourself, against some inimaginative AI. How boring is that.
  16. Why does youtube keep wanting me to watch that Swedish lets play youtube megastar 'cookie' something. Can you actually buy rankings in the search system ?
  17. Mark of Chaos and Dark Omen were great games, shadow of the horned, a bit too DOS ugly. Couldn't get into it. There was very limited choice of units though and the maps were a bit on the small side.
  18. Which is a good thing. It just goes to show that massive conspiracies almost never survive uncompromised.
  19. Have they actually done a warhammer battle sim that wasn't something else. I'm talking warhammer fantasy battle a la the Total War series. Two or more large armies facing off. There have been a lot of Warhammer games but they are either RTS or turn based strategy (TBS should be a thing as well surely) orientated, none of them have really tried to recreate both the scale and the tactic elements of the boardgame. Technical limitations perhaps ?
  20. You have to wonder how many of those Syria returnee scumbags there are out there. If it is known for a fact that they went there to fight for Isis would it be unreasonable to just tell them that they could stay away and revoke their citizenships. There is potential for a slippery slope kinda deal here with mass generalisations, but still.
  21. yeah so instead of small war it ended up as WW2, doesnt sound any better to me to be honest To be honest, if France and UK would only do as much as honor and execute the defensive alliance agreement that they had signed with Poland, there would be nothing even remotely close to the scale of WW2. Hitler called the bluff of UK and France, which he viewed as too lazy to react, and invaded Poland, allowing his troops to get experience, refine Blitzkrieg and extend economic power and production capabilities. If France and UK would respond to the aggression just as Poland was attacked, war would be over within a month with Germany losing. But it did not happen and we all know what happened next. Thats basically what I have stated They should have gone to Poland and fought the Vermacht after the battle had been lost ?. Not practical at all. The allies weren't going to get there in time even with the best of intentions. The French only had enough manpower for a defensive battle and in practical terms quickly settled into the idea of relying on fortifications. How they were eventually going to beat the Germans no one had given much thought.
  22. One of them is apparently already missing a finger, so even harder for him. My brain goes "wow, that's a crazy amazing physical feat, fantastic" while my vertigo goes "holy bleepbleep are you nuts why in the world etc. " Looks like you can walk up the other side of the rock. That's what I would have done, just sayin'.
  23. Looks like Divine Divinity.
  24. The problem with acting sooner is that there was no middle ground. Stopping Hitler at any time before Poland would have meant war. No one was ready for it. The two major players in WW1, France and Britain, also disagreed dramatically about German reperations. Ideal ground for a gambler and brinksman like Hitler.
