  1. How does that go ?. US has one and the rest of the world another. Or are there loads of different power standards.
  2. Dragon's Lair ?
  3. How far are we going back to establish credentials. Past a handful of userpers who killed or exiled the old kings and took the crown for themselves ?
  4. I guess I just don't understand you endophine junkies who like to torture yourselves with various kinds of strenuous physical activity. It's alll kinds of dangerous, the view is nice, but surely that wears off after 5 mins.
  5. It would be an accomplishment if there was some point to going there, the top of Everest or whatever. As it is it's just a hobby for rich mid life crisis afflicted people. Buy a Lambo instead, they don't give you frostbite.
  6. Don't like too much editorial interference in the gameplay. Like the map where you are knocked out and your weapons taken which is present in at the very least in every classic FPS single player. If you could play two characters at different time intervals, a la pulp fiction/GTA5 perhaps, and you could chose when to play what instead of being yanked out at inoppertune moments then it would be interesting imho. Dandilion needs to die. No wait, that's extreme. He needs to survive a barn fire horribly disfigured and unable to speak.
  7. I wonder is it allegorical that confused teenagers run around in a maze, being you know, confused teenagers.
  8. Redbeard ?. Too heavy on the social issues IMHO. There are moments when the movie is undeniably wagging its finger and preaching to you. Mifume is cool, as always.
  9. The thing with the US system is in its paradoxes - richest country in the world yet incredibly poor wealth distribution, very high crime rate and poor social/health system compared to other, less wealthy western nations. Few Americans are aware just how much better the overall standard of living is in many western european countries compared to how weaker their economies are to the US. I've yet to meet anybody from the US that's really willing to give the issue some thought and draw the obvious conclusions. Few people from the US are willing to give it much thought because you are simplifying an extremely complex issue. The US is a gigantic country, and really each state is closer to an independent country than anything else. It is basically like generalizing all of Europe as one place, instead of independent countries with unique problems. Maye there is a size limit for a country and beyond that, whatever it is, people just don't give as much of a damn about trying to uplift the whole. The scope of the challenge is too great. I propose spiltting the US in 4 or 5 geographical regions with more things in common.
  10. https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PLTXbmf59DOnlBaAssjsIPRLOmtkToUqwU&v=gxkGIpmrYJo Caution : they didn't bleep it and it gets rather out of hand.
  11. What is it about GTA 5 anyway. Is there some particular critisism or is it just that it's called GTA 5 and the same people campaigned to ban #4
  12. He would make the point better without falling into such an obvious temptation is what I'm saying.
  13. I'm pretty sure female PAs and interns aren't 'available to give BJs' at all. If there are people here who can't tell, statements like that is what misogeny is. Is there such a thing as female privilege. Probably, but it comes with being belittled like this.
  14. It's useful if you want to learn a competitive game better. Say DOTA or something. Other than that it's better than a review.
  15. In football etc. the player are played a salary. I think the organisers might be thinking about their own role in rather grandiose terms. As if they could force a social media strategy down every contestants throat. They probably have a contract that says they can do just that but that doesn't make it any less big headed.
  16. Well, Jedis would be doomed if anyone ever thought of returning to atomatic weaons and bullets. Lets see one deflect 1000 rpm.
  17. A lightsaber doesn't have any appreciable mass though, so you could change your angle of attack, and your parry angle with a simple flick of the wrist. This would make it much easier to present an angle with your parry that doesn't grant leverage to the attacker. Still not a convincing reason not to have one though.
  18. Lots of abandonware for 3 Euro. Hexen, Quake... come on. The time for making money off those games is past.
  19. It's got precious little to do with the president certainly.
  20. But Communism is not typically identified with democratic elections. It's not enough to simply throw all the 'pro government', 'pro taxation','pro redistribution', 'anti individual rights' markers together as the test has done and call it Communist.
  21. Didn't see a 'should the workers take over the means of production' question. Anyway the point is probably what Americans think Communism is. What is it anyway. Is it what the Soviet union was or what China is. Obamacare, Hugo Chavez ?
  22. Unrest comes from the bottom rung, the middle classes help protect the system and the elite both politically and physically. Curiously they (the middle class) have often made the priorities of the rich their own. Logically they should maximise their potential for collective bargaining. I guess they are just not aware of how enormous their power base could be expanded to be.
  23. That's not really a hard guess. It's a tiny minority after all.
  24. That's the point. It's a normal part of writing psych tests. ~~ Collectivism score: -17% Authoritarianism score: 50% Internationalism score: 0% Tribalism score: 17% Liberalism score: 33% Also, if your answer to 26 is 'yes' then shortly thereafter a white van should appear at your place of work or residence, you should be bundled into the back, then taken from that place unto a place of making seafood flavoured snacks, boiled alive, and used as flavouring. EDIT: Hugely amused at notion that people let a system down. If I make a suspension bridge out of bronze and it breaks, then where does the fault lie? the bronze is the material which will fail. But I am am the ***hole who thought it wouldn't. If there is no suitable option then a perfectly reasonable response would be to not answer the question within the parameters, that makes for a bad test surely. It essentially eliminates a lot of people from the sample. What if those people were representative of... something and their absence from the sample would make it less accurate. You can't fix that by making the sample larger. It's simply a practical consideration for the kinds of comparisons you need to make with the data.
  25. I thought support for Israel was universal. Perhaps it's louder with the republicans. Democrats would still answer 'yes' though. Is there anyone of importance that wouldn't ?
