  1. Turns out people don't actually use their tablets after the novelty has worn off, they use their phone, the large display phones are on the rise. Tablets are pointless. They aren't really mobile because of their size and they aren't really practical because of the lack of a keyboard. I could have told them that, whoever them is.
  2. When I think about it it seems obvious from the context, but I don't buy that you can tell with the naked eye. Well, you can tell if you know it already.
  3. I like how the sign says 'every time'. Like a couple of times a week ?
  4. He reminds me of Mao, essentially a riding violent populist movement to weed out his competition while pulling the strings, unoficial like.
  5. Was it just his turn. I mean if it was, it's not like there was a political reason to not appoint him. The fact that he is a dictator is not a political reason to antagonize a neighbour. Just sayin' The rest of the world can isolate him at no cost to themselves. Not entirely true of the AU.
  6. It's hard to blame them though. I don't mean the Nazis, screw them, but states bordering on Russia didn't have a lot of choice except between two evils. Now that we have another cold war sattelite conflict on our hands no wonder they are waving flags furiously.
  7. I dunno why motion blur, depth of field and film grain are considered improvements over being able to see what you are doing as well as what is around you. The motion blur is on for sprinting, but you sprint 80% of the time in that game. At least you can turn off all that crap. Resource intensive effects that makes your game look and play worse. Horray.
  8. How is the nausea. From what I hear you can rarely go more than 30 mins without sudden onset sea sickness. Particularly bad when the camera is hijacked for a cutscene.
  9. I hate that guy soooo much. It's probably all envy and I'm sure he's really a nice guy, I know, but the urge to punch him in the face gets so overpowering.
  10. Reboot though. Why ?
  11. Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut) is my favorite movie. I enjoyed the Director's Cut as well, but what ended up in the box office was not nearly as good and bombed badly. Common occurrence that they butcher the movie after the test screenings. Often it's shaky handheld action and a 'story' that advances at break neck speed at the expense of any sense of cohesion. Obviously a terrible idea with a historical drama.
  12. How is dying light. I was kinda hoping for what Dead Island should have been. In the gameplay vids it looks like a lot of running and parkour with turbo zombies.
  13. Make a new game though. All this remastered stuff is kinda sad and targeted at people who want to remember what it was like to be young. A texture pack and some gui changes does not mean you can charge full price again. At some point a stanky old matress can't be restored to the honeymoon suite centerpiece it once was.
  14. Sombody call Matthew McConaughey and have him shot into space.
  15. No going to work because of snow. Lucky bastard.
  16. Old controllers sometimes had an 'auto toggle' that let you spam a button by holding it down. You could win every withcer encounter with that. The only thing that really matters is enemy reach and position, not enough to make it really interesting. Still, it's better than Skyrim.
  17. I think he's more interested in filming deep sea wrecks, and who can blame him. It's a shame though. The blockbuster is such a boring formula and there are maybe a handfull of old timers who can almost do whatever they want just on the strenght of their name. Ridly Scott springs to mind. I hear the moses thing with Bale was terrible so bad example maybe.
  18. Don't respect the book if you are doing a movie. Tear it's undies to shreds and bend it over the kitchen sink. Sound advice I think. Dune with, I can't remember if it was Sting or Bowie, was horrible. Horrible and weird in a wonderful way.
  19. One suspects they offered to buy them to stroke his ego. He must be aware surely by now that his name is mud.
  20. I'm aware that it's rediculous, it's nto like ya'll have to explain it to me.
  21. There is the principle at stake here. Coop only games are designed to attract the weak who would have been weeded and bullied out after trying multiplayer a single time and having had the experience of being called a multitude of colourful names they never knew existed. It's multiplayer with training wheels, it does not even deserve to be called so. These people should stick to playing candy crush and angry birds and leave multiplayer to those who can stomach it. The strong survive and become legend. But how can they hope to do so without wadning through rivers of blood and butthurt to achieve their goals. Got a little dramatic towards the end there.
  22. ****ing co-op is for casualf**s
  23. There is something else though. The makeover is also to test the waters to see if a new HW game would be viable. So, fingers crossed.
  24. Losing proposition to go directly for destoyers and battlecruisers unless you have teammates watching your ass. FFA is a crapshoot though, you can get away with anything if the circumstances permit it. In HW2 i used to demoralise cap rushers by targeting the research modules and make them rage quit. Cap rushers are on a very tight timetable and can't afford any distractions. IF they are the first to pump out a destroyer near an enemy MS, it's usually over though.
  25. Going to get Wicher and then decide if I need to upgrade. Not upgrading so I can play one specific game at the expense of waiting for a more oppertune time. That would be silly.
