You pay the premium for the quality assurance that comes with a AAA release. You are paying for something that took a lot of man hourse to complete. The question is what will you pay for something with no quality assurance. I dunno, for my part id probably say the answer is nothing, not because they don't deserve it but because I'm not willing to pass that milestone. If I'm fiddling around with mods and I don't know that at least all it's going to cost me is my time, well, then I'd probably be doing something else.

Playing Skyrim with 50-100 mods is pretty common. That experience would be right around 1000-1200 moneys with the envisaged workshop pricing. Just not feasible.

I have been looking at that one. Bad colour - in a very relative sense of course, but still, bad marks for colour reproduction and factory calibration, but that's to be expected. It's not an IPS panel. Been close to ordering it a few times too. People are actually saying that it's too big. Is that possible. I think what stopped me is the lack of tilt. Yes you do want tilt even if your screen is the size of a door.

Bottom line is the greed bothers me. 75%. That, and the profit motivation is going to stifle innovation and creativity not promote it. On the other hand if it means that they are going to release dev tools on any major titile in the hopes of being able to collect forever from the efforts of a potential modding comunity - Dev tools are a nice thing. In a perfect world they would just make the game and however many offical DLCs then open up the game for modding by hack or accident or intentionally and then GO AWAY FOREVER.
