  1. Two classes seems like plenty, unless possibly you're solo-ing and want to use three.
  2. From time to time while walking, characters should make an easy Reflex save or randomly trip and fall onto their faces. If combat starts before they can stand up, they begin prone.
  3. Fade to black scenes should come with options.
  4. “Scummer, pox and wound rot!" roared Tunstall, slamming his fist down on the bed. "Gods cursed the pig-tarsed mammering craven currish beef-witted bum-licking gut-griping louts that did this to me! May every flea, leech and hookworm in all creation find and feast upon them!” ― Tamora Pierce, Bloodhound
  5. What I heard was "dhow", although it looks very large for such a craft. Maybe it's just a "we need size X to allow for boarding combat" type of thing?
  6. Necromancer seems like a possibility. Reanimating corpses, causing flesh to rot, drawing upon our darkest fears, sacrificing ones allies, drain blood, poison, sicken, shatter bones, &c.
  7. Look to mythology for some interesting variants.
  8. I wonder, will there be a shamanistic subclass? Perhaps a hedge wizard subclass?
  9. I'm just happy to be living in a time when we can debate the relative merits of two excellent party-based cRPGs.
  10. Yes, I would expect that the price of being an avowed paladin should mean that certain faiths are proscribed. Otherwise, the game would need to handle the prospect of being a fallen paladin. In theory, you could get away with it somewhat by taking the Untroubled Faith feat, then focusing on the priest's dispositions for maximum benefit. Maybe there should be something equivalent for the Priest, so that their Holy Radiance doesn't become useless? Perhaps even the same feat?
  11. A soulbound club called "Trump Everything". It does irrational, erratic things during combat, lets you gain extra loot for screwing up, and gives you a massive glibness bonus during interactions with low Int creatures. +4 ego boost to Resolve; -4 ego penalty to Perception.
  12. Yeah, but will there be Vithrack slaver-pirates with glowy Adra-powered airships?
  13. As long as they avoid portraying the stereotypical pirates of the Caribbean trope, then I think it'll be okay. I suspect it's going to be more like Malay pirates.
  14. Iron Oath is successful.
  15. D:OS was fun at first, and the tactical combat was excellent. But I generally prefer cRPGs that take themselves seriously.
  16. Rogues are an excellent class because they provide a different path to success than just pure hack-n-slay munchkinism. When implemented properly, they should require you to use your head to think your way through (or around) a problem.
  17. I wonder, will shadows now move with the passage of time as the light source progresses across the sky?
