I don't think he has elaborated on the new armor Penetration system. I wonder how it can be any simpler than the current system? Maybe they've eliminated different DRs for different damage types?

Conceptually, Mord's Sword isn't all that different from Essential Phantom; both fight independently of the caster. -
Gender parity among party members != gender parity in society PCs are an example of selection bias, but a positive one, in that the game survival requirements quite naturally selects candidates from the available pool who are capable of the task. They don't need to be representative of the population as a whole.

People of Earth is back, and as quirky as ever. Looks like the FBI is on the case now. Jeff: still my favorite Grey.

If you assume that the same people who would buy the finished product will also buy the EA version, then there is no reason to finish it. However, if you assume only a small portion of the potential purchasers will go EA and if the net cost to finish it is relatively low compared to creating an entirely new game, then you have every reason to finish it. I.e. it's to make a profit. Plus they can then enjoy the pride and satisfaction of delivering a polished, finished game.

In PoE, it seemed like once you were past first level, there was little to distinguish between the different races. I mean, sure, they had altered attributes and a talent, but after that there was nothing specific to each race; the spells, skills, talents, equipment, deities, and classes all worked the same (as far as I know). At least in D&D-based games you had race-specific prestige classes and magic items. Drakensang, for example, had some significant differences in spells and classes. I'd like to see some of that unique flavor and depth brought to PoE2. Okay, so probably the developers don't want to have items, spells, or talents that only work for specific races. But what about a racial bonus or penalty? A dwarven-made magical battle axe could have some special attribute bonus that only works for mountain dwarves, for example, or an boreal bow could have a hindrance when used by fire godlikes. If just 10% of items, talents, and spells had some racial modifier, wouldn't it add a lot of distinctiveness?

This isn't a good argument for a cap of six on the party, since the same argument can be made for seven, or eight, or even twelve (eleven companions/sidekicks in the game). Moreover it ignores the fact that the game is balanced (however poorly) around the party cap: raise the cap to six then anyone who takes five will be at a disadvantage. The key factor is whether the game uses RtWP or turn-based. Seven character parties work fine in ToEE and Wasteland 2. RtWP is better with small teams because party management doesn't scale well in that mode.
