- Pillars of Eternity II coming to consoles!
rjshae replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd much rather have a PC game ported to consoles than vice versa. As long as our available choices aren't reduced, it's no skin off my back.- Posting A Funny - The Thread

wow that's an beauty orlan there. i really hope she's a fully companion.. or being made into one at least in the expansion DLC. Forget it, man. You'd just end up with fleas, and then you'd have to delouse the entire ship.- Forest/Meadow Orlans instead of Wild/Hearth?

That half-time show was too bland. There was too much going on, it just felt cluttered and fluffy. The interlude with Timberlake at the piano was the only good part. Less is more -- they should go back to basics and have the artist try to make a connection with the audience.- Update #44 - Making Pillars II Gorgeous
When you're in combat though, don't those fancy magic visual effects get washed down for visual clarity? I mean, they look really good but I suspect that's probably not how you're going to see them in game most of the time.- Do choices alter any game play experiences at all?
rjshae replied to Danoga's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yeah, but the point is you're almost certainly not the pilot of that particular mission. Typically you're a random Joe Shmoe with some skills. Even a Watcher should really just be that: an observer with a unique perspective.- Do choices alter any game play experiences at all?
rjshae replied to Danoga's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Having your choices significantly influence the outcome of world-shaking events just seems to over-blown to me. You're just a small part of a much bigger picture. Perhaps at most you can change the destiny of a town or city, but that should be about it... unless you're playing a god.- Posting A Funny - The Thread

- Big patches after release?
rjshae replied to BijaT's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)My heuristic is to wait until the third patch release before playing a new game. By then most of the big rocks should have been cleared.- Can Single Class Compete Under Current Sytem
rjshae replied to Erik-Dirk's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yep. Based upon the PoE record, PoE2 will be tweaked and rebalanced several times to correct for factors such as particularly favorable multi-class synergies. It'll all work itself out over time.- A note about microtransactions in our upcoming RPG

- Will the guns be more diverse than PoE1?
rjshae replied to SonicMage117's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)You'd think some curious individuals would have started tinkering with combining magic with guns in some form, perhaps using special crystals in the breech to bind various spirit effects to bullets as they are fired. Your PC could retrieve these crystals then use their appropriate skills to insert the piece into a custom, higher-quality weapon.Account
