  1. Some spell-crafting easter eggs might be fun. They can put some (non-obvious) hints in lore books and in the material descriptions. Finding the right clues and combinations will then allow the player to unlock an entirely new, unique spell, perhaps with a little help from an arcane master or some such. At least it would make the lore more interesting to read.
  2. Not if it's an Orlan Paladin with daggers... and little bells on the ends of their shoes.
  3. They're on track to make ~$1.5 million. Hopefully it's enough.
  4. Coverage Roundup: http://www.gamebanshee.com/news/119124-pillars-of-eternity-ii-deadfire-e3-2017-coverage-roundup.html Wasn't sure if this had been posted...
  5. Watch again. Plenty of characters got damaged. You get to *watch* health *regenerate*. Which, new fact: regenerating health, bros. I think he might have meant wounds as in no wound icons or damage to the long term health bar which you need to rest in order to regenerate, at least none that are obvious. I do see that one character comes VERY close to knockout, and theres some icons that come up after the battle or during, but again, it's not clear to us that they are wound icons. edit: Actually, no, the icons I saw were there earlier. I know they were changing something about the health/endurance system from PoE1, but not sure what they were doing. Exactly. They're taking what looks like Endurance hits, but after combat there's no long term impact. I.e. no injuries. Characters used to at least take some Health damage, but now there's nothing.
  6. I didn't see any character get injured during that demo. The party seemed to walk away from each battle unscathed.
  7. That'd be my hope. PoE2 compared to PoE would be a jump forward like BG2 was to BG.
  8. It had to be physically painful, giving birth to that poor fellow.
  9. Then they'll also need to wear body armor at all times and a ballistic helmet. In fact, why don't we all do that? Typical. When the right talks about what CAN you do and freedoms the left jumps in with NEED and forcing people to do. I'm not into fashion, they can wear what they like and feel comfortable with, Mr Nazi. You don't recognize satire, do you? I'm neither left nor right -- I'm part of the thinking middle.
  10. Smilodons aren't that different from stalgaer. Fair enough. But still, some unique animal companions would be interesting.

  12. I definitely like this one. Dump the crafting skills and hire the masters to handle it.
  13. If, at a certain point in the game, you haven't recruited a particular character, then he (or she) turns pirate and you may have to deal with the resulting depredations.
  14. Here's a crowdsourcing challenge: help astronomers find Planet X https://www.zooniverse.org/projects/marckuchner/backyard-worlds-planet-9/classify I've done a few dozen so far. You need decent vision to catch the differences.
  15. Perhaps there'll be a mission to rescue Edér's soul and bring him back as a superpet?
  16. Welcome to the very font of all useless knowledge. Bathe in its rich cascade and let it wash away all your meaningful pursuits.
  17. I'd like to be able to gift my weaker magic weapons to enhance the loyalty of my crew and make them more combat effective. Perhaps they could give us a ship's armory panel and we can stock it up with our old magic gear?
  18. The descriptions don't say, so there's no reason it couldn't be both. Particularly for an intelligent soulbound item.
