Feedback: Quick Craft Items
McSquirl Nugget replied to daniel.robert.campbell's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i think that means you can craft them on the fly without the workbench. guess it could mean this thread idea is coming got my vote for this. i think it should go kinda like you stated above. tap to equip, if there but broken repair, if not there craft. Guessing that would be easier to implement. -

Crow will not drop feathers
McSquirl Nugget replied to KaRMaRDub's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
The more I play the more I find. Totally random drop locations. I think with maybe a few key areas to check. I just found 3 feathers where the group of stink bugs are with the 2 dandelion in the dry cracked earth spot near the west anthill. Then in the way into the ant hill to kill 5 soldiers there was a feather in the start of the tunnel. -
Evidently I don't know left from right and east from West, we're talking about the same drain

I also think it would make the game to childish so to speak. I like your idea of burg.l sending us to help said moose though

Built item/structure relocation

That's an idea, I'd rather have a sled though then you could add wheels to make it a pull cart- 4 replies

I like the idea. We'd need button combos to map more than the first 4 till belt slots first. -
Necessities for the game
McSquirl Nugget replied to Erica C Masters's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i get what your saying. that's why i said it should be included with the option to turn it on or off. Until then you can easily tell when it starts to get dark. the sounds change for one. the ambient light in the game grows darker, and you can't see as far. Look up at the grass above you, you can see the light climbing up the blades as the sun sets. Pretty much the same as when you're outside taking a walk or whatever and the sun sets, they did a great job mimicking that in the game. once the sun sets you got about 2 hours in game before it's full dark 20:00. so that's what 20 minutes real time? for directions. the Oak tree is in the north. you can see that from almost everywhere in the yard. If the tree is to you right you're heading west. The house is to the south, if the house is to your left you're heading west. between the house and the oak tree you should be able to find your way, if you can't see one you'll be able to see the other. I'd still love to have a craftable compass we can carry, easy enough to make. i've made them for my son and nieces and nephews while camping numerous times. something magnetic like a pin or needle (we'd need that added to the game) float it on a leaf in water and it'll point north. we could use part of an acorn shell for the 'cup' to hold the water, a piece of plant fiber to float and whatever they give us that we could magnetize that the floating fiber could hold to point north. That could be a Tier 1 compass, Tier 2 i'd like to see a new Burg-L chip unlock the compass and clock on the SCA.B, with a button option to view them. running out of button options on controllers though, so they'd have to implement button combos. -
A discussion about Mutations
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sylvia Rose's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i would think this would help protect from the bombardiers and stink bugs, but since I got it, I haven't noticed any difference in the damage taken with it enabled as prior to having it. I'll have to test it further Haven't noticed a difference on this one either. agree we should get spiders and other bug types for it. nothing else to add to your thoughts on the rest. great post btw -
Biome Suggestion: Air Conditioner
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sylvia Rose's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
screw would make more sense. i've lost one or two of those in things over the years plus the screw could be slightly stripped and have metal on the threads that could be harvested. And yes i would consider this an end game item like Mint with a finite amount and no respawn. -
Biome Suggestion: Air Conditioner
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sylvia Rose's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I was thinking the wire wouldn't be a normal respawn. typically you wouldn't have pieces of wire sitting around in your AC unit. Some of those external ground units have monthly service maintenance packages. so maybe this one would have something similar. Service tech drops a bit of wire, meaning the respawn, to put it more in a game sense, I'm thinking it would respawn like every 5 or 6 days in game maybe. -
Grasshoppers What does every yard have that we're missing? Grasshoppers! This just popped into my head while reading another post, so it's not a complete thought yet. We could have multiple sizes. making them harder and harder to kill as you encounter the larger ones. if you choose to kill them. Hoppers are herbivores so they wouldn't hunt us, but they'd attack to protect their food. Which could even be your roof or plank walls. 3 sizes - small ones that would be able to be solo'd. Medium that would be a challenge to solo, and then large ones for multiplayer that would need 4 people to take it down. Drops could be the legs, they're spiked so they'd make a cool club. Medium and large you could take the wings for gliding. and use the rest for other crafting options. #NoTaming Wing Suit Everyone wants gliding options, or so it seems. So why not a wing suit? Ladybugs fly, why not harvest their wings and craft a suit of sorts we can glide with? Break down the woven fibers into cloth, use the tip of spider fang as a needle and set up a wing suit. Landing could be fun, or deadly and we could then have small breezes that could shift your direction, throw you off course, or make you tumble to the ground. Want a quick way to your base, or the tree, or wherever from the picnic table? use the wing suit. You'd need 2 sets of ladybug wings, make them a rare drop like the head. 1 wing attached to each arm and 1 to each leg. For those not sure what a wing suit is - the parachute could be the dandelion seed we have already to float safely to the ground.

Biome Suggestion: Air Conditioner
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sylvia Rose's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
nice. i like where you're going with that. my thoughts - maybe it should turn on in the day and off at night, and have new bugs around it that are nocturnal to add that extra challenge when you go explore it at night. If you get to close in the day you're sucked in and chopped up by the intake fan. or have periods in the day where it's off and you have to get in and out quick. it will beep or make some other noise to give warning it's going to turn back on. Also, maybe some rare or unique bug parts in the intake vents. a grasshopper flying near it got sucked in and died, or a butterfly. and then maybe we could harvest metal there for crafting, like a piece from the radiator, or the last time it was serviced the repair man got careless and there's bits of wire inside, break off a chunk on circuit board, like the corner that isn't used to create our own electronics. -
Scanner Bracelet
McSquirl Nugget replied to OldManDorf's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
the top part of your SCA.B pops up when you're near raw science. evidently you missed one. they can be hidden in caves and your SCA.B will detect them above ground. -

this is what i was referring to. sounds just like the issues posted in other threads and in the known bugs thread. Host doesn't see, only people joining do. haven't heard of one in a pile yet though, from what i've read so far they're move a few blocks (like floor panels) away. When you play are you exiting the game fully or just shutting down the console and starting it up again to start where you left off? if that's the case i'm guessing it's that hot start feature. try fully exiting the game then start it again. maybe even start a new game and see if it's related to your save files. i do that full exit every time i play on (xbox one x) and i have nowhere near the issues people are reporting.

Built item/structure relocation
McSquirl Nugget replied to Traumer89's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
agreed. there's posts for this already. I'd personally like to see all of the food prep, decoration, and utility items able to be moved. some would need to be emptied first, like the water container. maybe reduce the weight in the chests first, like remove half to move, I don't think it would be feasible to move a full chest. on that thought my idea for a sled/travois would come in handy, or a tier 2 upgrade of that into a cart. Building items should never be able to be moved.- 4 replies

i have no issues with ant spawns nor ant egg respawns. i started a new game just before the patch which could be why maybe?

how would bee wings make armor? they're flimsy, light and soft, horrible for armor. we have a bird now that drops feathers for crafting. even a humming bird is 10+ times our size, we'd be no match for an insect eater, even in a group of 4. so my vote is no on this bird idea. Bee idea has some good parts. I wouldn't use the wings for armor like you mention, they could instead be used for a glider like the dandelion seed. There's already bee armor you can find in the game. This could give us the pattern to make new stronger armor though. #NoTaming

CAN WE GET A CENTIPEDE?????
McSquirl Nugget replied to ProportionateD's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
actually you don't. i vote no on this one. -
yeah near a small sprinkler, north of the flooded area, has raw science in it. there's another drain besides that one? For the water flea, use the spear or shovel in the water, you can't swing but you can stab. Haven't seen the stranded spider. i ran though there last night on my mission to kill 3 wolf spiders. got that down pretty well now since the combat changes. They're easier to kill.

never had that issue on the xbox with auto saves. my game plays seamless. i don't even know it's saving unless i happen to see the notification in the lower left.
