New arrow settings... not great
McSquirl Nugget replied to Kissker's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I said a real bit of realism, not full reality. i didn't go crazy on it, i gave my 2¢ on the idea. that is what the forums are for. You obviously didn't read what i said. my idea was to have 2 hip quivers 1 stack in each = 40 arrows. you can kill every bug in the game with 40 arrows, minus the wolf spider and brood mother, maybe even them, i haven't tried. oh and the queen, another i haven't tried. 2 quivers on the side of the pack is probably a better idea, hold more in those and they'd be out of the way. Agreed. i don't want the game to be more real, that "little bit of realism" is needed to keep the game from being totally fantasy, what we have now is a good mix of realism in a fantasy. I'm just putting my ideas out there like everyone else for the Devs to view and hopefully help them decide what gets into the game or doesn't. -
guessing your playing on PC with game pass? Googled that error found a few things that might help you. If you're using Game Pass, clear it's cache In windows go to settings, then apps click on the Game Pass app Click on Advanced, then Reset then click on Repair. Reboot and try the game again Also, make sure you Win 10 version is 1903 or higher to fully support Game Pass Try repairing the game in the Win 10 Store in settings, apps, apps & features. Your Xbox Live account may be missing info, log into it online and check that all the security info, etc. is entered. Hopefully one of those help, let us know if you get it resolved to help others that may run into this.

save data deleted
McSquirl Nugget replied to pr1m's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
that sucks, i feel sorry for you all. rule of thumb i've always used (not that it will help now but a good idea for the future) always save and quit the game when you exit, especially if you like to use the "hot start" feature with Xbox, where you turn the console on and pick up the game where you left it last. Doing that hot start (or whatever the real term for it is) keeps game data in a cache file and that can become corrupt. I suspect that's what happened with your saves, as i always exit the game fully when i'm done. and so far (knock on wood) have had no issues with my saves. To fully quit the game, save it! Then hit the xbox button, move down to the game in the list, hit the hamburger button, then go to quit. Again i know this won't help now, and sorry you guys lost all those hours of playing, but maybe doing this will prevent that from happening again. -
Why can't I harvest feathers?
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sir Green Day's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
i've gotten 4 feathers so far. Have yet to see any at the bird bath, got 2 near the western ant hill, 1 by the 2 dandelions in that bare patch the stink bugs like, and the 4 was laying on the boulder just behind the first field lab you discover when you start the game. -
Graphics Glitch Storage
McSquirl Nugget replied to EvilMonkeyBoy's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
you mean plank pallet. I spent the last 10 minutes googling where i missed getting the storage rack pattern from My pallets were raised off the ground and floating in mid air thanks to the boot print that was created under them. didn't see the planks showing through the bottom though, but then i didn't pay much attention. I like how you've set that up. I'm stealing that idea and I'll see if mine show the same way when I play after work. -
Repair tool not working
McSquirl Nugget replied to Cazzy6208's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
haven't needed to use the repair tool since the update, i'll go pound a wall a few times tonight and see what happens. -
good idea, or maybe a timer that removes them it they haven't had material added for x amount of time. I'd like to see that for the bugged blueprints also, where you add a couple pieces then go out to harvest more stuff for it and come back and your game crashes trying to finish the build, or when you cancel the blueprint.

adding my 2¢ agree with the above posts. It's a preview, it supposed to have bugs and glitches and some stuff not work correctly, it's how they perfect the game for the public release. I wish more games would do this. Used to be a big thing years ago, they'd send out invites or have sign up forms on their websites to alpha and beta test games, to get them ready for retail release. I've tested a number of games over the years in this way. But now it seems lots of companies just push out garbage and fix (if they even do) on the fly, rather than test and fix prior. Kudos to Obsidian for letting us help perfect and enjoy the game like this in it's early stages.

Weeds, do they grow back?
McSquirl Nugget replied to Cuhwristoefur's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
awesome, i had as surplus of stems from dandelions and weeds prior to the patch it was saving, the few weeds i cut down were back with the patch, but i haven't cut any down since to confirm. Thanks for confirming for me -
I also play on Xbox One X via gamepass and have both triangle walls and normal ant activity like previous to the patch. i'd blame the cache, which could cause a corrupt save file. on game previews and betas you should always exit the game after playing, don't use the hot start feature (where you turn on the xbox and start the game from where you left last play session), it's known to cause issues.

Weeds, do they grow back?
McSquirl Nugget replied to Cuhwristoefur's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
is the respawn fixed? or did they just grow back like all the vegetation with update on Wednesday? -
Can´t attack underwater.
McSquirl Nugget replied to Frankikk's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
you can't swing any weapon under water, and you shouldn't be able to, water slows you down, the strike would have very little affect. Stabbing works though -

Invisible wall at weed killer spout
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sylvia Rose's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions

Smoothie Station eating items
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sylvia Rose's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
exit smoothie station and check your inventory. i've noticed on xbox when you got to combine items in your backpack one appears to vanish but if you go back in they're all there. -
you kill them with the spear, can't swing a weapon under water so the swords and clubs don't work, takes 4 or 5 hits from the spear.

Creature Suggestions
McSquirl Nugget replied to phyerboss's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
how would these pincers differ from the ones we get from larvae? That's venomous poison is ingested (swallowed) venom is injected through fangs etc. And Black Widows are much more toxic than Wolf Spiders. Wolf spider bites are only dangerous if the person bitten is allergic, black widow bites can kill without the person being allergic, at least to normal sized humans IRL. This would be like a group boss or multi group in the future if they allow that. -
QUEST Suggestion: Multipart Side Quests

i like it. faster collection of RS. -
Have a co-worker that started playing, we were texting about ideas for the game and i brought this one up. Neither of us could figure out how this would affect the insects. They don't have a brain developed enough to be intimidated by face paint. they're all instinct, no thought. So I think the paint would be cool to have, but just cosmetic for fun, no buff probably being to literal again just my 2¢

Sharing multiplayer game saves
McSquirl Nugget replied to Burny's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
probably more trouble to sync save files across multiple systems than it's worth, especially if you're playing across platforms. Rain would be fun, there's posts for this by others. being able to be swept away by a miniature flash flood and end up a few hundred cm's away, if you survive, would be cool, frustrating at times, but still cool. Running from the pack of larvae that kicks your butt every time, leap across one of the ravines that is now a raging mini river and wave g'bye to the larvae as they're swept away. -
Why can't I harvest feathers?
McSquirl Nugget replied to Sir Green Day's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
when you chop up the feather the crafting piece falls, it's a little bag like bug parts are in when you drop them or ants steal them from your storage. there's a 72 hour timer now (if i recall the patch notes correctly) for unclaimed items. Not sure if that's 72 real life hours or in game hours. if you remember where the feathers are hurry back and check for that pouch.
