  1. i could see the aphid, but not a tv or radio.
  2. Just made a reply to another post that might work for this. a rain storm. flash floods, mudslides, new ponds that would dry up after x days in game time. mudslides would happen on slopes like from the oak tree down and the ant hill. Flash floods in the ravines around the yard, and low places. High winds could possibly blow you around, you'd need to find some kind of shelter, a cave, or shelter made of stem wall construction. Plank walls destroyed, sturdy walls damaged, possibly destroyed, especially if they were above the top of the grass. A chance of hail from that storm to cause further havoc Bugs would also be looking for shelter, so you might have to battle them if they try coming into your cave or whatever. could have the rewards as some unique crafting material you won't get otherwise blown into the yard, with a timer on how long it lasts. Like maybe a female household member was on the picnic table sewing when the storm came up and her box with a couple needles blew out into the yard. needles could be used for tier 3 spears, or hammered and sharpened to use as swords. We'd need a forge in the game then, which could open a whole bunch of other options. One thing i've been thinking about for metal and crafting is if they'd give us the ability to harvest rubber form electrical cables, and wire also. the insulation and wire could come from the outlet on the house. Tier 2 axe could cut off some insulation to use baring the wires, then chop the wires to forge them into items.
  3. yeah maybe... If they ever bring in taming and from the sounds of it in the interview it's not something coming any time soon. #NoTaming
  4. love this idea. Another thought on this for those that want to color coordinate their roofs is to make the petals named, like red is Rose Petal, and Blue is whatever a blue flower name is, same with yellow. Then you could make your Rose Petal Roof, or Blue Flower Roof, etc. Like the acorn and clay shingles also. I'm thinking the clay ones would be the adobe shingle style. Love it! i'm stealing #NoTaming
  5. haven't found the clover cave yet. entrance used to be just south of Rash right? and then they moved it... The storm drain in the north east part of the map i could make without the smoothie but just barely.
  6. put my vote in for this. Maybe a new smoothie recipe using the infected items from the weed killer area would also work.
  7. man i hope they don't give us "cheats" so to speak for this like ARK has. i'd rather see them fix the issue causing this. I don't see a need for this, there's a timer now with the recent patch. 72 hours i think, whether that's in game or real time, i'm not sure.
  8. i prefer the smaller ones myself, never have liked the larger dry grass curls, i think they should all be small. Or the larger ones should give you double the fiber collected vs the small.
  9. to add more to this. flash floods or mudslides after a rain storm. make new puddles that take a few in game days to dry up, wash away structures if built on the low ground or in the trenches. carry you a few hundred cm down stream, and bugs too if they get caught. or better yet, have the sprinklers turn on and do this., even worse if they come on during a storm. Also have wind. I know people will hate this that have built towers and such but have the wind affect built items above the top of the grass. destroy grass plank walls, knock down stem or sturdy walls that need repaired to be replaced. roof and floors destroyed. Wouldn't take much, a mild breeze for us really moves the grass around, combine that with a storm and sprinkler on top, that could be a special world event.
  10. Really? i haven't seen it yet. good to know. if your'e talking about the toxin one that is a typo in the recipe. that's the one i was referring to above and just made it a few minutes ago with honeydew. so maybe it was pre-patch that it didn't work?
  11. interesting. thanks guys! i had no idea one way or the other what it would actually sound like
  12. agreed the sound is loud, and it scared the crap out of me the first time, same as @Gnith but i was creeping up to the sleeping wolf spider under the Oak tree when i first heard it. how's it unrealistic though?
  13. it's a known issue with Xbox and what i call it's hot start feature, forget what the technical term is. happens with many games. To prevent - quit the game when you're finished playing. Hit the xbox button, go down to Grounded, hit the start/hamburger button, then go to Quit. not only does it fix the choppy sound, it also fixes a number of what some have called bugs in the game. Alternatively you could start another game instead of doing the quit option. The idea is to remove the game from the cache, starting a different game will load it into the cache.
  14. no bees yet. i've seen mention of honey also, whether that was a typo for honeydew or they meant honey, not sure. I'm hoping we'll get bees and pollen and honey and such in the near future.
  15. i've kicked floating berries out of the pond by the birdbath countless times before the floating fix. have yet to find a feather underwater, where's this at? might be worth it to go build a platform there to prevent it till they make them float.
  16. agreed, all the other games I've tested have made you restart from the beginning when they were "released to retail" as was called back then, not sure if that's the current term now since that one generation liked to change everything Some gave you bonus items for the retail release for helping in alpha and/or beta testing. I'm hoping they might do something like that here, not expecting, just hoping
  17. interesting. i tried 3rd person for a bit in the beginning but i much prefer playing first person, you cna't hit them at all with any weapon in first person. I haven't built the fang dagger yet, i have the larvae dagger and so far haven't been disappointed in it, guessing the fang and larvae daggers are the same vs infected weevils. in all the big bug fights it's helped kill them wit the poison. But then my experience with it is limited as i just started using the larvae dagger after the 8/26 patch. Unfortunately, except for lady bugs, and the glitch with the bombardier when it does nothing but spit boiling acid at you, circling and attacking is now the way to kill everything (except brood mother and queen, still haven't fought them yet so not sure about them). i'm killing wolf spiders now, actually killing them more than they kill me since the patch, all from circling when they go to attack. found they can still fall through the ground though lost my fang since one died right as it reared back into a boulder near the pit by the oak tree.
  18. agreed, and i had the same issue with the bed, glad to know it's not just my game
  19. all i've played so far is medium i think you're about right on the arrow count for orbs, about the same for lady bugs, bombardiers and stink bugs are right around there also, bit less i think.
  20. i'd go for the auto-equip armor if it could be toggled on or off. Sometimes i carry 2 sets of armor depending what i'm doing, if i die it's from a fight and usually cause i forgot to switch armor, i'd rather not have the game auto-equip the same wrong armor right there by the wolf spider that killed me. they said they were working on that in the interview, we were hoping it would be added in the last patch but it wasn't. hopefully next patch. So until then, practice organizing your inventory better, we have tons of room in the backpack, i carry 8 tools sometimes 2 sets of armor and at least 2 stacks of food and have plenty of room to go exploring and foraging. yes it would. remove the arrows from the backpack. never noticed this, might be your settings?
  21. Agreed, if they're implemented they should be an option to turn on/off. The compass is not needed, as you and others said it's quite easy to tell which way you're going by using a little common sense. I'd rather see a compass we can make, easy enough to do with water, a leaf, and something magnetic that would float on the leaf. as for the clock, again make it an option we can turn on/off. it's quite easy enough to tell time by the rising and setting of the sun, and when you can sleep by the change of color in the SCA.B. There's nothing in the game that requires a specific time to do something, at least that i've found yet.
  22. The image links you posted above, that i quoted, they show as broken images for me.
  23. Saw someone post about one of the missions from Burg-L they had was bugged. can't think of the mission now or who made the post. I got 3 missions from him last night. Weed Killer, Stepping Stones and Bird Bath. Of those 3 i had already completed 2 of them pre-patch, but didn't get any credit for them, Weed Killer and Bird Bath. I was able to finish the Stepping stones, then went to the Week Killer and my Trail Marker was on the canister but i couldnt' do anything with it except change the icon. No credit for the mission to put it there, no option to recycle it and rebuild it, and hitting it with various tools had no effect at all. Floated down and went to the bird bath, hoping that one would work for me. Luckily it did, i was able to recycle that marker and rebuild to get mission credit. Weed killer canister marker is still bugged. Hopefully the creator of the other post about the markers can add theirs here, or link their post and i'll add this and kill this post.
  24. Sorry they fixed your exploit. Now if you have a chest on a blueprint like this, or have a chest more than half on a floor piece and you remove that floor piece, the chest explodes. has to have a full base of some sort over half way under it.
