  1. i've seen on multiplayer that when you aim the bow it looks like the arrow in the bow is stuck in the shaft of another arrow. doesn't happen on single player.
  2. that's how it should be. have you ever tried swinging something under water in real life? it's painfully slow and has very little impact. you can harvest berries with the pebblet axe.
  3. wonder if it's from the walls being close? i haven't hand any issues with weed respawns but then my closest item to them is probably 6 or so floor panel widths away. I wish they'd fix the grass respawn growing through the walls.
  4. The issue doesn't exist in new games, looks like it's carried over from older games to the new patches and glitching out. That said they need to figure out why for sure. I'd hate to see this carried over to the live release next year.
  5. Try a new game, see if the spawning issue is still there. my guess is this is from older saves that have brought the issue into the new updates.
  6. i like the idea of the randomized quests. that would be cool to see put in the game. I don't think you're right about the goal based players though. most people drawn to open world games like this do the goal based activities on the side, at least from my experience. You'll always get some that just do the missions then get bored and move on, but the majority of the player base will be the open world aficionados, so to speak, and keep the game going.
  7. that's not needed, those will collapse as well in my experience. You need a base structure to support it. like a foundation or scaffold. Sounds like the OP was missing the base connection points.
  8. try a new game. I have no issues with bugs or respawns in the new game i created. i've seen this while playing online though.
  9. totally agree to this. Questioning these ideas, they just don't make much sense to me. the average skink, adult size, is roughly 5 inches from nose to tail base. That'd give it's tail about the same diameter as the larger weeds. and how would we chop off it's tail? it's not going to just sit there and let us whack away at it, it'd eat us. Why? we have the crow in game already. ravens are bigger. we could just have the crow do a random drop of feathers and down. and hit it's eyes enough times? you hit them once and the raven is going to retaliate, and we'd be a snack, if we survived being flung from it's head. and how will we hit the tip of the tongue? when it shoots it out to eat us? It wouldn't drop a mucous gland unless we killed it, it can't just spit those out while running away, and feet webbing???? what is toad class? and the rest is the same as the frog, how?
  10. so bugs can't behave like they do in real life? turn and attack at the same time? This isn't a bug, it's how it should be. i hope they continue to make it more realistic. Combat right now is way to simple.

  12. agreed, but it would probably be easier to implement if we could chop the planks into fiber. THey're looking into making the sap collectors hold more than 1 sap. so eventually if we leave all of our numerous collectors out, we'll have more sap than is ever needed. you can carry 5 planks/stems by default. if you equip all 3 ant armor pieces you can carry 8 (1 slot for each piece of armor), then there's a smoothie or mutation or whatever that gives you 2 extra slots for a total of 10 planks. I'd like to see a sled/travois system be able to be crafted so we can load it up with planks/stems/whatever and drag it around, add more items with the armor bonus and even more with the smoothie or whatever buff on the sled also.
  13. people don't read. they jump to the first board in the forums and start posting. in a perfect world they'd use the search and comment on existing posts and put posts in the right forums. But this isn't a perfect world by far good thing we have mods to move that around for us. what are we going to fish for? there's no fish in a California back yard small enough for us to eat. If we were in Singapore and had the right water type then maybe Ticks are indestructible at our size, i vote no to all of these and to make carpets and rugs, and use for roof tiles to add color to our bases. Yes please, we have a few threads with options that would be feasible in game to do this when they open the sandbox. Hopefully a filtration system will be added. I'd also like to see the Jerky rack hold more meat. like 5 pieces. I dropped 3 mushrooms and made spike traps around them at my base by the machine. then ran to the oak tree to harvest acorn shells. When i got back i had 15 weevils dead in the spikes and 4 more i killed on their way to the mushrooms i dropped. Guess i should should have waited till the next day to gather half the meat, i only had 3 jerky racks built and waiting on respawns for bombadiers to make more, so half the meat i collected spoiled before i could use it.
  14. of course this is posted by a zombie I like the DoT idea, but not the blood drinking idea. i'd rather not drink the goo that some insects have for blood.
  15. there's a bug where it doesn't show anyting in that backpack slot. I've had this happen with other materials i've trashed. I've had it work after sleeping, at the worst i've had to log out and back in.
  16. it's quite simple, jump to the edge of the opening, crouch then walk into the container at the far left side. the only bug i see with the container is the first mint in the opening, when broken, puts the pieces on top of the container, same with the one in the far back corner.
  17. maybe an option for those of us that don't mind the timescale now. I'd rather not see this changed for all.
  18. like a passive mode as they have in Minecraft for the little ones that play grounded. As you play more and get the combat down you'll find the orb weavers and wolf spiders are fairly easy to fight. especially in Mild. until then RUN make hte aphid slippers, they increase your run speed.
  19. hasn't yet in my game. been over 3 weeks in game time and nothing grown yet from those stumps. if you clear the stumps they grow back in a day or 2.
  20. i think it's a glitch with the old saves. I don't have any issues with bug spawns with the new patch after starting a new game.
  21. Yep you can map the key/button in the options. I have (on xbox) X set to swim up and A to swim down. Swimming needs some work
  22. simple fix for now, cut the grass down leave the stump, it won't grow back then. But i agree, there should be an area around your base where nothing will grow back. like maybe 1 floor space out from your walls/foundations.
  23. each piece of the ant armor gives you 1 extra slot to haul planks/stems, 3 extra total. Then there's an addition smoothie or mutation or something to add 2 more slots, so you can carry 10 total with all that.
  24. you have to get on the edge and then crouch walk at the very far left. they fixed it so you don't have to wiggle your way in by crouching and jumping like before the patch. When you break that first mint in the opening of the mint box, it puts the mint on top outside of the mint box. Does the same with the mint farthest back in the box from the opening. there's other threads asking for this, and i'd like to see this also. as well as prompt to make them if you're making an item that requires woven fiber and you're out but have plant fiber available.
