Ladders and Bridges
McSquirl Nugget replied to TheeHappyDalek's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i'm guessing with the rename of woven fiber to crude rope we'll be getting ropes in the next patch it's been asked for a bunch. And hopefully items to use the rope like grappling hook, zip line, ladders, etc. -
Mutation Descriptions
McSquirl Nugget replied to tecknotot's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i don't think games should give us everything. makes it too easy mode, some things should be left for us to figure out. from the descriptions on those i've unlocked or are listed in Burg.l and what i've observed in my game by activating and then doing the same actions with it off - Buff Lungs - yes more stamina Rock Cracker - rocks, like grass master at level 3 you get a bonus piece when harvesting Lil Fist - Haven't got this yet but that's my guess, more damage with fists, just going by the name, what else do we do with our fists? Question is does it count toward the mutation if you wear with them down with weapons first? I killed a handful of Orbs last night using @RazielDERF's method of stunning them and then pounding them with fists till they die, and I've started to kill the weevils and aphids with my fists only. got a ways to go still i think, Would be nice if there was a progress meter for these. Coup de Grass - Haven't got this yet so no idea Juicy - water and food meter deplete slower, at first i thought it was just the water meter but my food meter is also dropping slower natural explorer - yes run speed, add the aphid slippers and you move pretty quick. Cardio fan - your stamina meter fills up faster Reliable Friend - yep from the description you revive folks faster in MP, just got it last time we played clearing out the ant hill and you kept dieing, not sure how much faster it revives, you'll have to die more so we can test it Meat Shield - haven't bought this yet but from the description, (and the Lady Bug armor having a defense buff), i'd say this is max health increase. Fresh Defense - less damage from bombardiers and stink bug gas clouds is what i've seen so far. Thanks @Truth for the input on Ant-nihilator, i hadn't noticed a damage taken drop with it yet, i'll check that out tonight. May as well add those while i'm at it. Aphid Slipper - says right in the info tile - "Run like the dickens" and The Quickness = speed increase Eye Patch - if + Attack isn't obvious.... your attacks do more damage with it Mite Hat - +Hyperstamina - with the stamina meter icon i take this to mean faster regen of stamina Gas Mask - again obvious Clover set - +Fuller - shows the food meter and "fuller" i think would mean slower depletion of the food meter Acorn set - again obvious Ant set - another obvious Grub set - starting to wonder if i need to keep going, these are obvious Ladybug set - +Blocking Strength, this one is still a mystery, i think it's longer stuns or knockback on perfect block? Spider set - +Hyperstamina, see above, faster stamina meter regen Bee set - +Sprint Distance = so you can sprint farther, but that would also mean you're faster or have a stamina buff with it to allow you sprint farther. Which is it, both? -

and then go in the tunnels when the trap has thinned them out some and use gas arrows on the rest. -
6 Random Glitches 2
McSquirl Nugget replied to RazielDERF's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
flying water fleas were fixed previous patch i thought. i haven't seen any in my game since. I love the punching the orb weaver in the face, i want to do that! Haven't seen the ladybug on the leaf since the patch, she was there prior though. When you kill it the item drops from her vanish. Lol it did me also, i've had that happen before this patch but haven't since. Previous to this patch i had one pounce on my like that, then i bandaged and ran down the hallway like @RazielDERF tried to, and it followed me. I died inside the next doorway with no way to get past the wolf spider (he was stuck in that tunnel) and get my gear back. I spent an hour trying to get that stupid jump in the ant hill to go in the back way but i'm not coordinated enough. I started a new game from that. figured if i had to redo all that i had in that pack might as well get rid of the spider in the tunnel also. I've seen orb weavers in that tunnel too, but they're easy enough to kill it didn't matter. -
i was able to get grass to stop growing by leaving the "stump" in place, but now since the 2.2 patch that's also growing back. I extended my base and raised my crafting to a 3rd story level to keep the ants from stealing from my chests (they were stealing from a distance away from the base from a 2.5 floor level), and i had chopped down all the grass around my expansion except the stems as there's a couple blades that went through a chest and in the way of other chests. Now i have to chop that grass down every day as it grows back overnight. And it's right beside a scaffolding tower with a wall on it, close enough i can't walk between the blade of grass and wall.

Spiderling sound
McSquirl Nugget replied to tecknotot's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
i like it. it's supposd to be loud to draw any spiders around to help defend their 'baby'. I've had the wolf spider under the plank drawn out of his tunnel from killing a s'ling near the entrance -
that's supposed to happen, if you go waling away with your mint mallet and smack a few walls they should take damage. Sounds like your PC game is bugged, that needs fixed, not the xbox version that's working properly. a term someone made up. I'd say its' from your xbox, i have the xbox one X with no issues you're reporting. Have you tried removing some of your old save files? if you keep it below 10 files it works much better.

Spoiled Meat and Ants

same, it's caused lag in some weird spots. gas arrow fixes that, but we shouldn't need to carry gas arrows with us all the time. -
No daily quests from Burg.l?
McSquirl Nugget replied to bradja's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
nope, i'm getting missions fine. i'm guessing you've slept since your last ones? i've had that happen where i worked through the night and then ran back to get missions and he had none. -
Analyze Sap Quest - Can not be completed?
McSquirl Nugget replied to EilatOne's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
that's in their known issues list. nothing we can do but wait for a fix. you can abandon the mission at Burg.l and get a new one. -

McSquirl Nugget replied to bradja's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)

Mints
McSquirl Nugget replied to Fletch Dude's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
the abandoned ant hill by the oak tree. Not the western Ant Hill. I found it easier to get in the mint container since the patch. Someone else posted, i think it was @tecknotot, they put a stair just below the edge of the container so they could get inside. You have to crouch and enter at the left side as you face the container. -

Pet Taming Implementation Idea
McSquirl Nugget replied to NG75's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
#NoTaming I like this, but i'd rather see it tracked on the screen. Like when building the sprig fence. I need to make 18 of them, i'd like the ability to track the pattern so i can see each needs 3 sprigs and 2 woven rope, with a counter to show how much i have to make 18 of them. -
Suggestion: Praying Mantis
McSquirl Nugget replied to Snabbaronen's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
agreed, I think people are just posting their favorite insects to put in the game without thought of how they'd actually affect the game. Nothing wrong with that, suggestions are great to have for the dev's to figure out if they should be included. -
Another post got me thinking about this. I've already posted somewhere here about crafting a bike. lets flesh that out a bit more. Bike Wheels/Tires 4 twigs 2 tier 2 armor glue 6 thistle needles 1 weed stem 2 rubber The idea here is to take 2 twigs and form a circle, held together with the armor glue. weed stem for the axle, needles for the spokes, and rubber for the tires. Frame/Seat 3 weed stems 4 twigs 5 mite fuzz 1 berry leather 1 rubber use the weed stems for the frame, twigs for the forks, handlebars, and pedals (along with a chunk of stem). Leather and fuzz for the seat and rubber for hand grips on the twig handlebars. Through the magic of our crafting we'd have gears to pedal and stem tube in the frame to allow us to steer with the handlebars. Raft Pretty simple. We should have the ability to create a raft. Lash together weed stems (they'd have to make them float first) use the crude rope for that. then add twigs on the raft for a storage area to transport items. This could also be used as a cart, add wheels like in the bike above and handles to tow it around. #NoTaming I'd hate to see it attached to bugs.

Raft would be awesome. give us a way to carry stems across the flooded area. I had an idea for a bike we could build, that would be cool to use for traveling. i don't see any need for a slingshot or boomerang as we get the tier 1 bow almost at the start. I'd love to have shields, start with a clover leaf, then a bug parts shield, then tier 3 could be acorn. I think you mean a quiver for arrows, that's an idea that's been posted already, so yes to it again. we have ant armor already, mix of ant parts, acid from the soldiers. I like the thistle armor idea, give bugs damage if they hit us. I really doubt they'd let us break the analyzers. what if we could buy something already made by the scientists or previous shrunken folks from Burg.l?

Game is glitching items
McSquirl Nugget replied to wuigi77's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
if he's the host this is a first. The known bug is for players joining the host game and having placeables shift, this is new if it's the host or happening on solo. -
Items in water retrieval
McSquirl Nugget replied to RagingRedneckTV's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
you can push feathers out of the water, it's a real pain but possible. Berries float now, they just need to fix the stems so they float, and if lost in the middle of a pond a way to retrieve them. We can swim, why can't we swim and use them as a float? -
you make a good point. All of those posting here have been playing for a long time and seem to have forgotten food and water can be somewhat scarce when you start out. I'd love to have a water filtration device, one that could easily fit into the game as a beginning item could be a sand/charcoal filter. charcoal from fire spit, but sand would have to added.
