  1. yep i made a post for this already good to see we're on the same page.
  2. i still think he summed it up best in his opening paragraph. all the animals mentioned would be in this description, except the leeches, they do get small enough we could have them as a hazard for the flooded areas.
  3. i was gonna jump on this and say no stop being lazy But seriously this is a good idea now that i think about it. Of course the planks and stems won't be added to your pack but it would make it nice to recover some of the smaller items that get lost, like when recycling a spike trap and a thorn falls into a mound of dirt and is lost for good. Not much of a big deal to go get more thorns, but it would be easier and more efficient if they just went into the backpack, if there's space.
  4. maybe if the map gets larger, meaning adding another yard or 2, this single yard isn't big enough to add that i don't think, even after they activate all of the under construction areas.
  5. Grass is like a tree to our characters. It shouldn't move. Clovers you can move if you run. I don't think this needs changed. if the game engine supports landscaping yes to this. Not sure what we'd use leaves for, maybe like the dead grass? equipped items removed from backpack inventory is coming I don't think they should stack though.
  6. i like it. maybe a reward tier system. Like if the time to complete was 1 minute to make it from the tree to flower pot (just throwing numbers and places out there), if you make it in 59 seconds or less you get gold and 500 RS, 1 min - 1:15 silver, 250 RS, 1:16+ Bronze, 100 RS. Have some easy have some moderate and some difficult, rewards ramp up with the difficulty.
  7. i sat above 2 sleeping on one of the fence posts near the tree, didn't hear anything but the snores while i ate dinner, then they woke up and milled around and walked off. Not a sound. I'm thinking you guys are imagining stuff
  8. bingo. No need to harvest materials, you just go in and build as you wish.
  9. yeah i made a post on it just after he patch. since then i moved my food chest to the 3rd floor and haven't had any thefts. it was on a 'shelf' on the 2nd floor before that.
  10. trying to think how i can do it and make it look cool on the scaffolding, to keep the ants from the food chest it has to be on the 3rd floor. I might have to try creative mode tonight and figure it out
  11. yeah taht doesn't exist on the xbox but we can superquit by hitting the xbox button and choosing quit there, that or go recycle a stem pallet lol
  12. that is impressive. gives me a few ideas for my new main base i'm building This must be a PC option, i don't see it on the Xbox? Great post
  13. nice, i like it, i posted a suggestion for grasshoppers, crickets are generally smaller though might be better for the game
  14. Not following, what issues a patch fixed? exactly, one of the opening tutorial missions is to find a water drop on a leaf to drink, or however that's actually worded. when i first started I did that, but water drops were few and far between (maybe the patch fix you mentioned?) so in the beginning i drank from puddles until i found the first juice box by the machine you're led to. What i was thinking is, as @Truth said, being familiar with survival games, i knew i had to collect what i could easily find right out of the starting tunnel. Then the game pops up the mission to go to the field station, and you analyze items there. Why not have one of the starting blueprints as a water filter when you analyze the plant fiber? they could add a bit of sand here and there in the game, one near the starting point, and allow you to collect charcoal from the fire spit, as that's the first food prep blueprint, and combine that with plant fiber for a water filter. I don't like to google games like this when i first start out. i didn't even join the forums until i'd played for a few days real time and came here to find how to submit a bug report to Obsidian, since you can't send a report from Xbox. The game is made to explore and learn, i hope I'm not alone where i do just that until I'm comfy with the game before looking online. starting out yes as you're directed to the Oak Tree where it can be found laying out. but it takes up inventory space. Jerky is stackable and the best option once you can make it later on in the game, and like a cooked meat, it fills up what 3/4 or so of your hunter meter?
  15. you have to kill ants to get the eggs. they might be gathered around a piece of spoiled meat somewhere out in the yard if they're not in the ant hill.
  16. sounds like a scream to me, if you call a cougar scream a scream also Spiders make no noise, so they had to add something, even when killing bugs for their food they're totally silent. to our ears and even to recording devices that can pick up ranges we can't hear.
  17. 256mb i think it is, but they upped that in a previous patch to 1gb if my memory is working. you have to uninstall/reinstall the game for that save file allocation update.
  18. yep that was my bad, i got confused i've gotten 2 from the west ant hill now. I thinks its a 72 hour (real time) respawn, i got one Monday night, and the previous one was on Friday i believe. after the last patch when i broke the ones in the mint container the one at the door and the farthest one in both left the mint pieces on top of the container. So check there if you break it and get nothing at your feet. I wouldn't have seen that except a few pieces from the farthest one in rolled off the top on the ground in front of me.
  19. it's the spoiled meat. they gather around it en masse fighting to get the meat. Find those groups and kill them, then the eggs respawn, at least in my game.
  20. say what? what about the burg.l missions to make say a ladybug helmet? i have 3 already, one at each main base, yet i have to make a 4th for the mission. I'd rather be able to make it and then recycle it. not that we can use ladybugs for anything else yet, but we should be able to recycle tools/weapons/armor like we do everything else.
  21. I could see this for the quick setup outpost type bases, I wouldn't use it for my main bases though.
