  1. So uh, I play a lot of build them up games and stuff. I only recently just picked up Grounded, but I haven't been able to stop playing and have been convincing friends to buy it too. Anyways! I play a lot of games like Ark, The Forest, House Flipper, Valheim, 7 Days to Die, Subnautica- obvious Sandbox and Survival games that are replayable. I love this game a lot, because there is so much to do, even if you get a lot of the stuff done in the game itself. On that note I just have mild suggestions in terms of gameplay: Balancing Thoughts: - Poison/Gas Arrows: I uh, don't see thi
  2. Can we like chill out with the number of diving bell spiders? I'm at the point in the game now with full ladybug armor minus the helmet when I'm diving, that they're not like a huge problem or anything by themselves, but it's kind of annoying trying to explore the lake and I get attacked every 5 seconds. Like you don't even get attacked that much in the backyard rummaging through the grass and stuff. One, two, three of them okay I get it. My example that brought me here, I just went to get bones from the lake. Swimming from the lily pad that my house is on, down toward the bones I f
  3. After seeing some of the new building items in the latest patch I had a few ideas. - Curved walls (mostly for spiral staircase. For building nice looking towers) - Pebblet and Clay walls, windowed walls and roofs would look amazing. Would really help with castle building. - Fusing two different types of armour into one to get both buffs. Getting the defence of the ladybug armour while also getting the carry capacity of the ant armour. Adding a nerf to it would be fine. Like ant soldiers not seeing you as friendly anymore or maybe taking more stamina to run faster.
  4. I've been playing grounded with my friends for some time on Xbox. And I've noticed that it's really laggy especially in areas with lots of flying insects or ants or just insects in general. Large amounts of built stuff also seems to affect Performance as well where is on PC some people run fine with a far greater amount of builds on their map. So my request is this. Please try to boast performance on Xbox so I can have my friends join my world again without rage quitting from the lag. XD
  5. Xbox GamerTag: JayTheDrummer26 Grounded quickly became my favourite game ticking all my boxes for a perfect survival game! It’s clear how much work has gone into the game and I can’t wait to see what the Obsidian Team have planned for the future. Feedback / Suggestion: The main thing I hope to come to grounded is a new Save System. Being an Xbox player, it is far to confusing to have multiple games / worlds simultaneously. This means I can’t save the Going on the Public Test Server or have a second save that is in Mild (creative) mode allowing me to try out base designs
  6. Railings for stairs Ability to build into water (i.e. build steps into water) "Craft all available" option for crude rope, bug rubber, etc... Clothing and character customization at the beginning of the game (I understand the game has a storyline, but we never see any artifacts that show photos of the children so it would be nice to be able to choose what we look like) My team is having issues with inventory and trait retention; there have been several occasions where they've loaded in and all of their character work/inventory is erased, so I had to load an earlier save
  7. After playing Grounded for 15+ hours, I have compiled a list of bugs/feedback/suggestions. Bugs Game breaking bug that happens in multiplayer. When multiplayers (not host) joins a game, sometimes they will be in an almost spectator mode where you can fly around the map and you lose your inventory when you relog. Player positions in multiplayer lag/glitch out. Oftentimes we will see each other running in place or not be able to see each other for several minutes until the issue resolves itself. Aphids get stuck on grass. This occurs when you either cut the grass or kill the
  8. You can think about the possibility to add the split screen from the same console or pc to play the adventures of the Grounded. I think it would be an interesting feature to add and not just the possibility to play online with our friends. What do you think about this idea? Greetings.
  9. It would be interesting to be able to plant plants and be able to create orchards of certain components to have it in the place where the house or shelter is built to have easier access to those components. Having to water the plants by spending the water whose resource can also be achieved within the game. Imagine having an orchard to plant and having to spend water to be able to have new resources almost unlimitedly having to spend other resources to grow. What do you think of this idea?. Thank you and a greeting.
  10. Hey guys! First of all I would like to tell you how much I love your game! What you're producing is amazing! It's super addictive and captivating and after 20 hours of gameplay since last week, I can't wait to get of work so I can play more. Feedback: Lack of enemies - I feel like there could be A LOT more insects on the lawn. I run around exploring and don't see that many to be honest. I feel like I want to be swarmed, overwhelmd and run over if I run into a hoard or group of dangerous creatures. Maybe you're just targeting the more softcore audience, which is totally
  11. I would like an option to make a burgl mission harder/bigger for a larger reward. It could be limited to one fully “buffed” mission (maybe 10x is max) at a time. Alternatively he could have a “memory capacity” To allow multiple small buffed missions or a single full buffed mission. You could increase it by a slider in the UI. This could be explained by “overloading” burgle’s circuitry. ————— so instead of - 10 Lawn mites for 100 Rs you could increase it to - 100 Lawn mites for 1200 Rs ————— I think a 10x
  12. Howdy all! I'm a long time survival player and recently picked up Grounded. What an awesome game! I love the style and feel and atmosphere. Very happy to be playtesting this awesome game. I recently unlocked the ability to build and have started to lay out my first base. One thing that immediately jumped out at me is the choice of basic building materials (square and triangle). I noticed that Obsidian chose to go with a 90°-45°-45° triangle piece rather than a 60°-60°-60° which unfortunately limits our building shapes, especially circular building. I've created a little graphic that
  13. I have to rebuild them each time I do some changes near them >_<.
  14. Whole family is really enjoying the game so far. Though those spiders are a bit daunting! . A few suggestions for the game below: Would be great if you could change or customise the difficulty in game. That way if you are finding it too hard/too easy you don’t have to start over from the beginning. Having the grass and clover move or sway as you walk/run around. Keep getting stuck on them and being killed by insects as the grass and clover act like a wall. When playing with another person; being able to bring your inventory into their game would be great. That way you or the ho
  15. Hey obsidian! Loving the game so far I am HOOKED! I'm about 20 hours in here are my thoughts and suggestions; 1. The inventory could be a little more complex, shouldn't have to carry armour that we have equipped and it should re equip when you pick up your back just like the tools and weapons 2. Add some alternate control schemes or at least re vamp the custom control mapping for xbox because i can't place 2 commands on the same button, eg; swimming up to be added with jump on A button cant be done. 3. Make the wolf spider head bust bigger meaner, scarier and hairer than
  16. Here are just some overall fixes and feedback I have for the game after playing it the first few days it came out. Keep in mind I have not played since so these may already be fixed. -Faster way to transfer larger quantities of items from inventories as well as for crafting. -The enemy Ai and health is difficult to deal with if you have just started. -The areas that you are able to build structures onto need to be more clear. Or make a way to terraform or flatten the ground. -When holding a stack of planks or grass, if you are selected on a bow in your hot bar, you are unab
  17. One of the biggest problems in Grounded is to find even surface to build on it. Or, there is place I want to build the base, but terrain is too uneven? For something relatively small like buildings it can be solved by using scaffolds and clay foundation, but for something bigger like home surrounded by a fence? It would be great to build first simple home without floor near the first field station, but the ground is too eneven there. This leads to the situations when you start planning the base from one side, and when you came to the opposite side, you have a fence or the door hanging in the a
  18. It would be super helpful if you could flag an item/tool/ETC to alert you when you have gathered all the parts to craft it. That way you wouldn't have to repeatedly check your inventory to see if you've got enough of something to craft it. I imagine you could either have all the needed parts on screen, or a less intrusive system where it just pops up when all the parts have been gathered. Loving the game! Keep up the awesome work! Thank you!
  19. Hi everyone! I’m brand new here and I just want to start by mentioning how excited I am to have found this game! I think it has a lot of potential and I’m really interested to see how it grows and changes. This post is intended to give devs (and whoever else is interested) an idea of what the game looks like to a player that is brand new. Hopefully you can glean some interesting ideas or useful pieces of information from it. Let’s get right into it! Progress through the game so far: Spent roughly 10 hours (over about 3 sessions) in a single world on moderate, playing wit
  20. Posting this here as the interview covers a lot of threads I've read under this category. Some things covered or hinted at during the interview: Equipment no longer taking up inventory slots. Shared/dedicated servers Dungeons / boss battles Additional ways to travel around the world World changing events Road map coming Improvement to combat Interaction with items (sitting on chairs) Naming saved games files If it's already been posted, sorry but didn't show after a quick search.
  21. Having played about 10 hours of the game on Xbox so far, really enjoying it and love the world and story so far. With that said, here are some observations and suggestions I have (some of which have already been shared by others) in a hope they may be considered for future enhancements. Ability to name save files, or at least differentiate Auto-Save files between Single and Multiplayer Multiplayer Accessibility Ability to invite Friends into game from the Xbox menus (current option where you have to host and then they have to join from the menu is a bit clunky)
  22. Here is the few things I figured out after 20 hours of playing in WOAH! Difficulty Solo and Co-op. Insects: Spiders should be alot fewer and be a more lethal threat: The Orb Weaver's web spit never hit its target, and its bite is really easy to perfect blocks, the same with the Wolf Spider's bite, its jumping attack is a bit more complicated to perfect block and deal alot more damage, that really the only thing that make the Wolf Spider a bigger threat.More patterns should make them more difficult, maybe multi-attacks like the Larvae's one where you need to perfect block
  23. First I'd like to say I absolutely love this game. My first play through no Raw Science ever spawned. I didn't realize this until I had played for 3+ days IRL. I had to restart witch was fine. . . My second playthrough around 20 days in game my clock stopped. I was able to load a save and get it going but every time my friend on Xbox joined it stopped again. I'm not sure if that was the cause OR if it was building a sky fortress. . . The next day when I loaded up a good save everything was fine until I started building the same stairs we had been working on the day previously. So I did
  24. So after much deliberation over the course of the weekend, my friends and I (more commonly known as the Cheesebags) love the game to bits so far and have come up with some cool ideas for things we'd love to maybe see in future updates. I will sort the lists into categories for convenience. Possible new Creatures: We decided to ballpark some new ideas for possible future creatures to add to the garden. Due to the wasps in the banner image on the steam page we assume you already intend to add them into the game. So we have left them out of this list, but below we have some
  25. Ok, I’ll make this a straightforward feedback and opinion post... Played now for 40+ hours between the demo and this pre-release. I’m a veteran of larger survival games, so my views are based on that experience. This game has so much potential, but it seems even in it’s early state, there are core design decisions that lend itself to a entry level (easy) survival game and that’s all. - There isn’t much here. The story literally takes you 15 minutes to complete if you follow the queues. Then you do dailies to waste your time on building components that shouldn’t require this much
