  1. what would Sion be like in this respect
  2. Well it says on the official site "T3 has a grand story to tell" which means there's some "help me obiwankenobi, you're me only hope" type of recording inside it which we discover at some point.....
  3. I don't think anything short of a full walkthrough can *really* spoil the gaming experience so I really don't care. The little pre-release info that is released gets people's imagination working as to *how* all that stuff will work itself into a coherent whole; that's something which heightens excitement, it doesn't diminish the fans' expectations.
  4. >Does Amazon know something we don't? Selling stuff around the world and making a fortune?
  5. Persuade; and I want Force Lightning too.
  6. there's the official announcements thread
  7. Revan: Martin Short Bastila: Molly Shannon Carth: No Carth in my movie Canderous: Murray Abraham Jolee: The late Benny Hill (CG) 95% of screen time in whatever role: Monica Belluci
  8. Monica Belluci as the star forge incarnate don't care about the rest
  9. there isn't a spesific thread but people have been speculating (making educated guesses rather) about these names on all sorts of threads until a while ago. I wrote a couple of things myself but I'm too lazy to repeat it here. Searching could help but I know it's too toilsome....anyway...It was the forum member Maria Caliban whp wrote an interesting post on the names 'Revan' and 'Malak'. an Italian guy said that 'Palpatine' means to grab -but with sexual connotations- in Italian a 'Malak' in turkish is a buffalo calf, by the way.
  10. come on, Nur Ab Sal finish posting everyone's waiting for you
  11. I like the option that TSL reveals places that were hidden during the first game. And who is that character in the cloak towards the end??? Expectation building up.......
  12. WHO IS THIS WHC?????? On the concept art, advertising stuff, etc. she's at front *everywhere*... and there hasn't been a single screenshot or bit of info released about her. The time that passes during the game until we meet her will be like "Maybe she's behind that door....maybe this droid will lead us to her....maybe this quest...." and so on
  13. Clones of favorite characters from the SW movies will keep popping up in the Kotor series, it seems. Welcome the clones of Boba Fett, and Darth Maul. The latest info on the game's opening, Darth Sion's entrance into the mining station etc. already smacks of the beginning of ANH. I have the feeling that central to this game's plot will again be some element directly derivative from the movies. Which is all very enjoyable.
  14. There have been innumerable threads on this. Just check the FAQ or the Questions to the Devs. There's no definite answer. The Xbox people will find out in December.
  15. please, those who have the dvd, an answer to the question concerning -gasp- Jar Jar in RotJ, .... Antagonist, you were joking, right? edit: go to this website for a visual guide to the newest changes: http://www.thedigitalbits.com/reviews3/starwarschanges.html it appears the force ghost is indeed played by hayden christensen now; though the face that appears when Luke removes Vader's mask is the same -with a little change: He no longer has eyebrows. err.. yes. see for yourselves. they did improve the Jabba on ANH, though...
  16. the Xbox practically doesn't exist where I live; consequently there are no magazines, or people discussing xbox games around etc. So I guess avoiding the forums will be enough to stay clear from any spoilers. on the other hand, I'm not sure how much spoilers can actually 'spoil'. The plot twist in Kotor was so simplistic, and the main quest so flat, that the only way to really spoil the experience by spoilers was to tell the details of each side quest (which in my opinion were really what constituted the game) -and unless one reads a detailed walkthrough, that wasn't quite possible. In fact I played the game concurrently with a friend and he was ahead of me, so I knew what happened to Bastila, which party members got killed, the ending -and didn't think at all that those were spoilers. Perhaps if I'd seen someone play those scenes, then they could have been; but just reading or hearing isn't that serious.
  17. didn't Avellone (or perhaps another designer) confirm in an early interview that there's no Tatooine this time? He actually said something to the effect that Tatooine indeed was over-rated too. As for its place in the SW galaxy.... come on now, watch half an hour into ANH and decide for yourselves what the planet means for SW! Your entire expanded universe is an inflated version of the cantina-scene.
  18. Who's that onthe 5th screenshot? Not only does she have the Juhani-hair but I think I see a pointed ear as well.....
  19. Great info which doesn't really qualify as spoiler -these are the first things people will see anyway into the game and besides: They strengthen the anticipation as opposed to spoiling it!!!! I can't wait for the game any longer....
  20. The main quest was simply to find the Star Maps -the rest didn't have any necessary connection with whatever it was required for you to get to the Star-Map-Location on that planet. What made it even simpler was that you absolutely knew, landing on each planet, that there was definitely a Star Map somewhere, and that solving a few adventures would take you *directly* to it. So side quests, which is what made the game interesting, were literally 'side'-interests which felt like add-ons, and not elements in the logical unfolding of the story. I think that may be the only serious shortcoming of how Kotor played; and I'm quite hopeful that the new game will unfold in a much more intricate manner, taking more of the character's actions into consideration.
  21. errr....so Niklos means, in German, without-a-Nik...so that means...anyway..... I like the Palpatine. Perhaps a reference to how he 'held' the galaxy? 'Malak', while it's an animal's name in Turkish, has also made its way into a term denoting a sexual position.
  22. The name of the old janitor on the Taris appartments was Kadir; which is again a common turkish name. One of the card players in the lower city cantina was called Nikos, which is a Greek name. (There was a Nikos, wasn't there?)
  23. I don't think anyone will ever guess it right just by speculating
  24. 7th post on the 1000th topic..... I'll become a Rakhogul....
