  1. I think that the old endurance/health system was a smart one. Better than the current one where healing is too powerful. But apparently it was too smart for some people - so here we are: with no consensus at all.
  2. Exactly. Especially because you can do it for only 1 point of Zeal AND crush enemies' faces with the same attack, too.
  3. As long as the spell is up (10 sec base) you can't go down. If I remember correctly you'll simply not drop below 1 health (but can be healed normally). Shieldbearers have a similar ability.
  4. It is limited. Once you hit max wounds Rooting Pain will not trigger anymore. Swift Strikes uses Mortification, not wounds. But I guess dunehunter mentioned Torment's Reach because of that: it uses some wounds but at the same time generates new ones (Shattered Pillar) - so endless cycle of spending and getting wounds (and triggering Rooting Pain) basically.
  5. Adventurers' and Companions' Faith and Conviction simply scales with level.
  6. If hits on the 30-Pt-Courage shield also trigger retaliation I would consider Helwalker/Troubadour. It takes away so much damage...
  7. In theory if you're playign a wizard that all he does is nuke stuff, wouldn't the evoker be slightly appealing at least? Can't think of a reason to pick any of the other 4 though, if summoned weapons got a bonus damaged based on power level then maybe conjurer is decent but from what I know only their duration increases with power leel which is pretty meh. Potential "nuke" spells like Noxious Burst and Malignant Cloud, Wall Spells, Ghost Blades, Chillfog and Combusting Wounds are not evocation spells but transmutations or conjurations. And an Evoker can't pick those. Let alone those very useful spells like Pull of Eora. That would be very nice to have in order to concentrate enemies in one spot and then nuke them.
  8. You mean Rymrganddude grinds stuff to dust just via chillaxing?
  9. It is weird - but honestly not too bad. I like it. Works really well with assassination (and its increased crit damage).
  10. I can. Maybe subjunctive applies to you.
  11. Depends. With an Assassin you can one-shot one enemy from stealth. That alone can be a game changer.
  12. Exactly - no drawbacks for any paladin subclass. I mean the only drawback is that not every paladin subclass can multiclass with any other priest subclass - because of disposition-issues. I would have liked to play a Bleak Walker's/Priest of Berath - but the game forbids it.
  13. Really? I think wizards are excellent multiclassing material. Druids even more so.
  14. Subclass wizards also can't cast spell from Grimoires if they are part of their forbidden school. At the moment I can see no convincing argument that would let me pick a wizard subclass.
  15. If the DLC "Beast of Winter" has nothing to do with Rymrgand then I'll recolor my avatar pink and call myself "The Orchid Orlan".
  16. Iron Wheel I can see - but why Turning Wheel? What also helps is Duality with +10 CON at 10 wounds.
  17. It only works from the other side (jumping onto the Stormcaller tower from Durgan's Battery) - not the other way round.
  18. Yes, he can. It's total trash nonetheless. Monastic Unarmed Training doen't give a flat dmg bonus like in PoE but now increases unarmed dmg. by %. TOo bad the base damage of fists doesn't get increased so you end up with a whopping +20% damage bonus on a weapon that has like 5 base damage. Whooohooo! Not... This needs a bit of tweaking. Either raise the base damage of fists when picking Monastic UT (like Transc. Suffer. does for monks) or give a flat dmg bonus that scales like in PoE. I this isn't done the ability is just a wasted spot in the tree. So unless you are not a Devoted/Monk the fist proficiency will not be very useful for you.
  19. You mean 50% instead of 25% with crits I presume? Very weird behavior indeed. Could this be explained with Backstab using the (base dmg roll * (0.5 on graze || 1 on hit || 1.25 on crit)) instead of only using the base dmg roll - or something like that? Also not really if I look at the numbers...
  20. Yes - especially against non-kith enemies it sometimes really hurts to be a Helwalker.
