I guess the game had legs

I know the Avengers from Married... with Children. Al Bundy wanted to see Emma Peel kick really high or something. It's probably been 30 years since I saw that episode so I may not remember it 100%. E: I looked it up and it was about 29 years ago. Crazy the random stuff I remember vs all the meaningful stuff I forget

Yeah, I live in the US where we now* have a patchwork of laws regarding abortion and not everyone can afford to travel to a neighboring state (or if in the deep south cross several states) to get the care they're seeking. The best way to reduce abortions is to improve sexual education and provide free and super low cost contraception. The problem here is that a lot of places teach abstinence only or sometimes nothing at all. Because you know, if you don't teach your kids they won't figure it out. Shady story time. I think I've mentioned before that went to Teen Pregnancy High School. It was the school that all other schools would ship their pregnant students to because we had the best programs for teen moms because our rate was super high. Even before high school we had two girls get pregnant between elementary and middle school and a good handful more get pregnant in middle school. Anyways, so many stories I heard were simply because they didn't have access to contraception. Sex is going to happen no matter what so the best thing you can do is set kids up for success. * We always had a patchwork but it was technically legal everywhere even though some states made it a hard as they could get away with.

I've been watching Loki season 2. I don't know if this season is just way better or my taste has gotten worse but, aside from a few obvious plot related stupidity moments, I've been thoroughly enjoying it. Easily my favorite Disney show yet.

Son has been on 80s rap this week. He still likes synth pop but he also likes Kool Moe Dee videos a lot apparently.

Worked all night and removed a small mouse from my garage. I feel bad for it but I tried to release it somewhere nice. It was a cute little pest.

Reminds of this I still get a kick out of the fact that when my son does imaginary phone calls he does it with a flat hand instead of a fist with the thumb and pinky out, but that's what a phone is to him.

Yeah, I do it when I go to different grocery stores too.

I get it though because I get tons of phone spam(calls and texts), my phone does an okay job at filtering it but it's still a bother with the ones that slip through.

We had the best Halloween since I've lived here, which is about 4 and a half years. We probably had about 50 kids stop by.

Spurs and Suns game last night was amazing. I got my wife into fantasy basketball and now she's like all about it. I've created a monster. PS, still can't watch the Nuggets play in Denver. Altitude made a deal with some streamer but they charge like 75 bucks a month on the cheapest tier.

Power went out and Jehovah's Witnesses came to our door. Not saying they're related but also can't rule it out. Not my death cult of choice anyways.

Also, 4 clans in the base game with a supposed day 1 DLC adding a fifth and plans for a future sixth. I'm already down on the game so this doesn't move the needle for me. Will probably wait to see if anyone here gets it and see how they feel about it. PS, how does a thinblood end up in the head of an elder?

Carne asada nachos. I made tacos yesterday and the leftovers decided for themselves that their next form should be nachos.

Son was super excited to show up to preschool in his ninja turtle outfit but the teachers were making all the kids take off their costumes. I would have been okay with it if they had said no costumes but they didn't and their objection to them was that some of the teachers are kooky religious types and it offends them. I forgot how wacko some of the people there are. It's the only highly rated bilingual preschool in town or else I'd pull him out and put him in a different preschool. The owner assures us that they don't teach their beliefs to the children but she's got weird opinions on vaccines so not sure I trust her.

Snowed in so I made a soup out of whatever I had. Potatoes, sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, celery, chicken and veggie broth, and spices. Added a little milk and lemon juice to finish. Turned out pretty great but sausage and potatoes so the deck was stacked in my favor.
