  1. As a Twin Peaks fan you should watch the Dual Spires episode of Psych Shot with a potato dipped in vaseline
  2. Finished Strange New Worlds. My complaints from before are still the same but I still enjoyed it enough to finish it, which was the biggest surprise since I dropped Picard during the first season and Discover after the second.. but that was pretty much just a hate watch at that point. I'd compare SNW to the first season of Enterprise, not great and different but just familiar enough, if that makes any kind of sense.
  3. I think the HELIOS has a range of about 5 miles and that is at 60kW. Finding laser ranges has been harder to come by than I expected but I suspect even the lower objects may too high (far) to effectively engage.
  4. Sex is female, I grew up in the 80s so I tend to use sex/gender interchangeably even though I technically know better. I'll die soon, so it's okay.
  5. I'm an AZ native who grew up as a Suns fan and I hope they never win as long as they have CP3. That said, I don't think either Nets trade is going to work out for the receiving teams.
  6. I was enjoying the game a lot but I didn't catch the end because I had to give my son a bath. My son already has an obscure Irish name We'll name her Ponch, from CHiPs. Michael Burnham
  7. I watched the super ball and looked up baby names.
  8. Top Putin Ally Says He ‘Will Not Hide’ Intention to Invade Poland Anymore LOL
  9. That's what I use when writing about dates with people from other countries so that there is no confusion. I know year/month/day is the international standard but the military got me used to writing it that way. In my daily life it's month/day/year because that's just how it is here. PS numerical D/M/Y is always wrong because you don't get Pi Day and that's a bad touch. You do get Pi Approximation Day though so that's something.
  10. I can live vicariously through you
  11. No, creme de catsup. Which might be good in a bloody Mary. Maybe. Probably not. I had to look up Minttu and it looks good
  12. No worries at all, I don't really like anything but Islays
  13. Trying to abstain from aka-haul so I'm having a vanilla nitro Pepsi and milk because I refuse to say pilk. I'll type it though. E: I'm really missing a good peaty Islay.
  14. I had to revise my score down 1 to 16/25 because I think I was being overly generous with the posters for wallpaper. I only had a couple. As to the teal and purple squiggly art https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz_(design)
  15. Cindy Williams, Shirley of Laverne and Shirley fame. The show that introduced me to Pepsi and milk.
  16. So, in a fit of alcohol withdrawal I watched the first some amount of episodes of Strange New Worlds and I gotta say, I didn't outright hate it like I did Picard and Discovery. I don't think it's great and I have a bunch of gripes but I think it's good enough that I may eventually finish the first season. I don't think anyone has broken down into tears or solved anything with fisticuffs yet so that's nice but they're also somewhat unable to get away from the stuff I don't the most about the other shows. Does everyone need a tragic back story and also do they all need to be so quippy? A little of both goes a long way.
  17. I got 17/25, technically a millennial but more accurately the xennial micro generation. Probably got a bingo or two, too
  18. She was on an episode of Enterprise too unless I'm misremembering I guess I should have read the article because it says that in there. Just assumed because the few articles I've seen didn't mention it. Now let's all take comfort in the fact that I was right and not dwell on the fact that I'm an idiot who comments on articles without reading them.
  19. To be fair, I think mambo/mumbo sauce is only really big in DC and maybe Chicago. I have to order it on Amazon as no stores around here carry it. I remember how hard it was making dinner for my in-laws when I was in Estonia. The stores didn't have all the ingredients for some of the things I wanted to make or the had the item but it was completely different to what I was used to. I remember the main grocery store we went to had an American section that was hysterical to me as it was basically what you'd find in a typical gas station here.
  20. I saw the movies when I was so young that I don't remember much about them
